  1. If you're using a hair then a free running rig doesn't have advantages really. I use a flat lead and have a stop after about 12 inch, so that the fish, when pricked by the hair will have that amount of movement until it hits the lead and drives the point home.......catfish are not intelligent......

Immigration isn't the cause of the problems with schools, housing, doctors and other public services that effect the working classes. Chronic lack of funding and building by a succession of Tory and Red Tory governments is, something which Corbyn intends to address. You're right the voters leaving for UKIP aren't just simple racists, they're reacting to very real problems in their communities caused by a rapid increase in immigration with no thought given to improving infrastructure to accomodate the rise in population and voting for the only party offering a solution. Corbyn's Labour offers them another solution by increasing investment in their areas and funding for public services.

Labour policy isn't and I don't think ever has been for there to be no limit on immigration.

Know what does help the working class looking for jobs? Investment in industry and infrastructure ;)

Disagree.......There's too many of us in the UK. There's too many of the wrong sort in the UK.

Where is all this money going to come from to pay for the non-workings that come over, or for the child benefit they send back home. How many billion £ a year is sent to Poland? They're getting richer and we're getting poorer and the polish workman is working for next to nothing , taking jobs off UK men. There's plenty out there more than willing to work for less than minimum wage. Immigration is causing our population to rise and rise and rise. We don't have enough money to support all these extras. AND I reckon a majority of the Uk agree's...hence the brexit win...alot of that was purely and simply immigration.

To be honest, none of the parties have a tough enough immigration policy for me, I'd stop immigration alltogether until the UK was sorted.......and that in itself is going to take a hell of a long time...

All valid issues and concerns pal but my answer to them is always going to be different to yours. You say we can't afford them extras I say we grow the economy so we can, at the end of day the right kind of immigration IS good for the economy you just need to balance it against the social costs and make sure that the benefits of that growth in the economy are felt by everyone.

I think one of the biggest scandals about the surge of low skilled immigration in the last two decades or so (I don't think you'd find anyone today that would support the levels of unskilled migrants that came over in the Blair years) is that the benefits to the economy of the influx of immigration were never felt by the communities that have felt all the strain. Some company directors got rich slashing their wage bills while the native citizens were dumped on the dole then demonised for being scroungers

OK....why is immigration good for the UK.....From where I'm sitting the only people who welcome it with open arms are either ethnics that hate the British way of life....OR owners of big business that wish to emply cheap labour, and who, incidentally, probably don't pay any tax at all in the Uk due to their grasp of Tax laws,,,...

Why do we need more people in the UK??

    We don't.

Our population is FAR TOO BIG at the moment anyway, that's why we're building on school playing fields, woodland, countryside, downgrading green belt to brown belt. There is a huge demand for housing, rents are massive. House prices so big that young people cannot afford to buy.

Try get a doctors appointment? Go on, I dare ya!!

Try get in the dentist with the NHS.......Go on, have a go. Its vastly over subscribed.

Why should people be allowed to come to the UK that have never paid a penny in their lifes, walk straight into the first hospital and get 'served' when our own people, people who have paid into the system, are waiting for cancer treatment.

The roads are chocablock with cars. You can't move anymore. rush hour is rush three hours. More people is more traffic. Whats the solution? Is it build more motorways (costing money) or have less people in the UK?

Go into factories where people are, usually, on a low wage, see how many eastern europeans they employ.....people I know work at meat plants, and the polish are taking their jobs, plain and simple. No skirting around the issue, the management are positively descriminating againt the British worker for the eastern european worker.

I cannot see any good argument for having immigrants over here. If I were in power the borders would be nailed shut as tight as a drum.

Good luck to you Mr Darcy.

I have had a few, although nothing to shout about, but I'm looking for my first out of the Thames this year. If that happens I will be shouting, even if its tiny!

There's some big cats in the Thames if you know where to target, the lads that fish for them are very secretive about it, I know of 50/60lb plus fish coming out of there.

I can see more and more rivers holding them over the coming decade. It might not happen yet, but within two decades we'll have 'ebro' style catfishing I reckon....I really do. back in the 80's kevin Maddocks predicted the catfish would be the fish of the 90's, taking over from the carp. Obviously that didn't happen in that timescale, but it's happening more and more now. It has always been said that the catfish cannot spawn in the Uk rivers due to their temperature, but I think they are found in colder places than the UK, so who knows. How long will be be before people are legering 1lb carp livebait? !! On the river! :victory:

The ones you'd of expected Carswell,Reckless and Suzanne Evans who's suspended can't challenge due to not being with the party long enough.

    Could Aaron Banks stand?

That was done on purpose, they're all rebels that want to take the party in a different direction to Farage's cronies ;)

Aaron Banks has talked about standing but I really think that sweaty little pig would be the death of UKIP. Can't see him having the broad appeal of someone like Nuttall. Best for him to stay behind the scenes IMO

All these rules being brought in with Labour and now UKIP has fried my head lol.

It'll be nice to see somebody step out of Farages shadow and push the party on, with the way politics are at the moment there's a good chance to step in and gain some momentum. I'd like to see Nuttall stand but he's said he won't but then again Nige resigned once LOL

People are starting to care and get engaged with politics again so the establishment need to change the rules, can't have the people having too much power now can we ;)

Wouldn't be surprised to see a change of heart from Nuttall, wouldn't be the first person to deny they're standing only to change their mind...

I agree BGD, lots more people are getting involved and voicing their opinion on politics than ever before. This can only be a good thing IMO... I hope Nuttall stands.

  6. IF Ukip get a very strong character as leader they could become Britains number two party over the next five years. labour doesn't know what it's doing, the Lib Debs are a dead parrot, so it's all to fight for. Paul Nuttal seems a good speaker.....UKIP has made some serious gains in the political arena and if the right person gets at the helm then the time is ripe to really push forward.... IMO.

  7. If May can look strong in the coming months and UKIP get a popular, charismatic leader that can communicate with the working man then I think Labour will be up $hit creak for a long, long time. I really think people are today getting sick of 'words' and want 'action' and the party that delivers action will come to the fore, whoever it may be. BGD I do admire your enthusiasm for Corbyn, but being realistic do you really think he has a chance at becoming a Prime Minister? In all honesty?

If Corbyn wouldn't flood the country with even more foreigners, push every minority groups issues to the front at the expense of the majority and scrap trident then maybe a few million working g class people may actually vote for him

How does Labour's immigration policy under Corbyn differ to the Tories or indeed UKIP? Which bits do you disagree with, what makes you think that their policy would result in the country being flooded with foreigners at any greater rate than any other party's?

That's EXACTLY the point. The working man and Labour have nothing in common anymore. face it, Labour are well out of touch with their traditional voters, Corbyn is just a joke and under his leadership labour will never be taken seriously. Having Corbyn as leader of the Labour party was the best thing to ever happen to Conservative and UKIP....

Face it; the man's a total flop.....but he is a gift from the God's for all the other parties.....

A total flop who's lead Labour to victory in every election since he became leader and increased the membership of the party to over half a million all while fighting backstabbing and coup attempts by the PLP ;)

Ok...Lets see what happens over the coming years..... we'll see who's right.....

All I've ever said is he should be given a chance as the democratically elected leader of the party and I can't really see anyone else in the PLP that's likely to perform better in an election.

Obviously if Labour suffer huge losses in the next GE then he should resign but he's done pretty well so far especially when you consider he's been sabotaged by the PLP at every turn so unless he fails the electoral test of GE I don't see why he should go.

I don't want him to go....I want him to stay for many, many years. What I am saying is that he is out of touch with his main core of voters; those being the working class people the Labour party has traditionally represented......

The best thing for filming lamping is a proper camcorder....gopros just don't have the zoom IMO. This is if you want to see action rather than a dark dot going left to right and vice versa........JMHO.....

how much you needing to spend on something proper?

    Try a cheap camcorder.......
