  3. I used a roe sack on saturday for the very first time..and i was impressed. So much so, that im going to buy one....we had this large buck to carry up a large hill a long way!!!My mate lent me the sack and when we got to where we had left the roe i looked at the sack, then back at the roe..and thought that there was no way the deer would fit...no way....but it did !!!!! dont ask me how, but it fit in just nice and i carried it back without anyone looking twice.....they are a handy bit of kit to own if you have to move deer a long way....
  4. IMO..it does depend where you hunt...if they arent there you cant catch them!!!!! lol...if i go local an average bag of rabbits is about 6.....and if i travel???..i dont know, because we are usually after other critters!! lol.....JD

  8. When i was a youngster i used to knock about with a lad that had a couple of good dogs.....one of them was called "Clyde" , it was a 70lb 26" collie grey (1/4collie) and he used it for hares only...this dog, in its first season, killed quite a good amount. The dog was very fit and it was only run on hares...and i think that made all the difference...a few years down the line it started spewing on the runs...in the end the dog died of bone cancer.....it was a fair dog, good hunting JD

  13. Obviously, this is for springers. The one i have fitted is in an HW80. Before the kit was fitted the action was a little rough to say the least. We have a decent knowledge of the full HW range and so we found fitting it not too difficult, but instructions are provided. It took about half an hour to strip and fit and i headed out into the garden for a few practice shots. The first 20 deiselled like mad , but it soon settled into a very quiet and smooth weapon. The kit costs around £45 and i think it is well worth it. I know it doesnt look like you get much for our money , but believe me, the
  14. Just as you cannot compare Cd to a LP you cant compare PCP to a springer....the PCP is quieter, more accurate and had no recoil...BUT..they dont have the character a springer does..i have 3 springers at the mo and i rate the 77 as one of the best guns i own....but the s200 is some shooting weapon too....its each to their own.....its the shooter that kills...not the gun...JMHO.....J

  18. i never weighed them mate, but one things for sure, pounds and ounces cant sum up the lads enjoyment!!!lol
  19. Well, i have always thought of these types of lamps to be not of any use to the lamper. In the past i have had experiences with some very poor models. At this years Midland i picked one of these lamps up for a good price and so i thought i would try it out. Firstly, the power; on the casing it states a daft figure of 2,000 000 CP , but i doubt very much if this is true. But, that said, i do think that the lamp is very powerful and easily good enough for lamping every critter. I havent ran one down fully yet so i cannot state just how long a charge lasts, but i will do soon enough. The drawback
