  1. I bought one in ; she is Beddy/Grey x Deer/Grey-Whippet/Grey, possibly the best allrounder I've had; Cheers. grand looking dog that is the tpe i remember as a lad .........wont be up to whins ,,standards but hey ....what is !!!!! Ach !! That wee dog is a good 'un !! Who ever hates me wouldn't slate that dog ! She's 4 1/2 year old, taken EVRYTHING ! As good as a dog as you could have ! nice dog and doing the business for you, thats what its all about
  2. ok, still think colliexgreytype of dog . I have said before that most popular x was a colliexgreyx deerhoundxgrey in the 70s. And to be honest back then, that what i thought most lurchers were , of that x. you saw a few smaller types rough+smooth, but they were alot of x above more so than others.
  3. Well i think lurchers hunting for the pot, colliexs. But if you really wanted just one type of quarry (hare ,fox) salukixs and bullxs.Colliexs can+will do all quarry, but not as good as dogs bred for that discipline. Bryn colliex pot filler
  4. well done mate, My lad is 23 now, it all women+lager now it soon fly's by
  5. Hi Robert, ive got the same lamp L.S, and i use a 10amp (lithium battery) they are not cheep £130, but they are feckin Brill dead light to carry.I have had 5 1/2 hours lamping Because they are light you can carry more game on you .what ever that is. Ray really 5 1/2 hours!! I was really thinking about getting one when I brought my striker but I got reports of them not lasting long! So I opted for a deben belt pack!! I'm gutted now should have chanced it would make more sense to walk with a lighter battery that gives me more hours than heavy battery that gives me less!! Ohh well I'

  7. That would be telling wouldn't it.......Take a guess. Well he wasn't there was he. , nice pics the dogs look fit+happy. Ray
  8. well if there 2 of you, thats plenty really. If you have any more you make more noise, and your dogs dont really get good runs . You heard what they say ( 2's company 3's a crowd)!
  9. not realy shes very much still a pup, she will be ready tho by sept Nice pup Martin you will need plenty of work for you 3 dogs , they will keep you fit Ray
  10. when you get another pup, keep it on a lead or rope 15-20ft long. then let go right by them and if it shows to much attention them ,give it a yank with firm NO. Keep doing this till it stops . With lambs still the same, but it might be a bit harder, as lambs are smaller and (move) differnt to sheep eg bounce around, which alot of dogs pick up on. You can still do it , just keep a eye on it. I have + do lamp with sheep there, but they are a feckin pain, as most times they get in the dogs way on a rabbit . I prefer to go where they aint any if possable, as i can catch more rabbits
  11. No whin, not Hancock or ......., He is a 1x colliex grey poacherman, he was home bred . Greyhound 1000yds bitch 26in 60lb, to 21in working farm collie. The bitch had been in the lamp, and the collie worked sheep+cattle, both good working Bryn 25in 60lb fast+agile, and good stamina 20-30 runs a night in the lamp.
