absolutely!!! she’s really an amazing dog and we do nothing but go out, play and train. i always knew she would love doing it plus would be a great opportunity for more training & strengthening our bond. she gets tons of enrichment and is a happy well behaved girl but I imagine nothing can compare to the fulfillment they get from ratting. plus my city is absolutely infested with rats so the opportunities are endless haha. thanks for your help!

ha to be honest with you, i just think my girl has a pretty face so I wanted to preserve that at least a bit if i can. i’ve seen some terriers online absolutely covered in scars and missing hair but some other I see (that do ratting) have none at all, so I assumed there must be something they do differently in regards to treating them

thank you! i’ve seen some patterdales at least online with faces absolutely covered in scars but I also see some that have none at all so i wasnt sure.

Hi everyone, attached photos of my patterdale. We want to get into ratting, so I was curious how you guys treat rat bites for quick healing, and if you do anything that prevents or minimizes scarring? Some other patterdales I follow have minimal to no scarring at all, even dogs that are hunting more than just rats and I’m wondering if there’s something they do specifically to prevent that. thanks in advance
