  1. Nasty wound, looks like he was stabbed with a knife. Good to hear he's recovering though. Havent had mine long but he's itching to run the wood. Ive gotta see what he's made of, danger or not. Snakes, barbed wire fence worry me though
  2. Patterdale / whippet cross (fairly certain at least) male around a yr old
  3. Good catch. Are you suggesting federal operative or something ? Is the last line a veiled threat directed at someone/something??
  4. Think he'll hunt? From what I've described ? Been starting on short distance recall so far training
  5. Cool old photo. Would be nice to revert back to then, when dogs were employed for their natural purpose, before technology wrecked the fukcing world. I bet you even dogs sense how completely soft the world has become...
  6. Lol. ? It came with him, but I agree. Magenta btw
  7. Good info, I've been leaning towards pat x whippet too, since getting him. And tons of pits around here so you may be spot on. Definitely wants to go after small game (squirrels, 1 rabbit, cats) so far, and isn't afraid of much. He seems still trainable. Not sure if he'd kill or not, gotta go into the woods and off leash, see what he's like
  8. Rescue dog, was told he was a runaway. I think around 1 yr old. I have some ideas of what cross he may be, but wanted some other opinions? He seems to have a nice prey drive, although I have not gotten to let him off leash yet. Hoping to soon. Prey drive and other factors are what brought me to the forum after doing some research. Around 19 inches at withers, 25 lbs. or so.
