  1. I can recommend the Canon 400d DSLR though there is now a Canon 450d which is better still. You should get the 400d including a lens for 350 on the internet & Jessops currently have a sale on.
  2. Ian From what I've heard they are rubbish. Leak on the first real downpour.

  5. If it's not going to a working home she shouldn't be getting a docked pup !!!!
  6. Good home required for working GWP Bitch ( 5yrs in Jan08). Lack of time forces re-homing. KC registered ( breeding restrictions in place ). Great with people, other dogs etc. Lives outdoors & very very quiet. PM me for details, though don't bother if you a time waster

  8. As a non terrier owner (at mo ) and new to terrier work I really enjoyed the book. Great pics & a excellent read. The only issue I have is that there are a few "terms" that are not obvious to the less experienced. I know JD probably wrote it for other like minded terrier men but would have liked a wee glosssary at the back of book
  9. Got mine yesterday. Cheers Nearly finished it !!!

  13. If you interested give these guys a bell Kent Working Spaniel Club Secretary Sylvia Pay 01795 843280 John Pay runs the monthly Training Sessions at Stockbury Good people who will put you & your cocker right.
  14. If you buy a fully trained dog your looking anywhere between £1200 - £2000. No problem with buying a fully trained dog but make sure you get a FULL demo of the dog working. I don't mean 15 mins in a field , I mean at least 1/2 day shooting over live game. If they won't provide that then walk away.
  15. As previously stated no set age, it goes on feel!! Best to introduce it in a rabbit pen if you can get access, then you get to control the situation. Is it 100% on stop whistle even when there is distractions? I've one cocker who is so hot he waasn't in the pen till 14months but another cocker I have will ONLY hunt when there is game about, so he was in pen a 4 months for a wee chase. But I'll say it again, beg or borrow use of a rabbit pen, you won't regret it.
  16. Thanks lads, some great reading on here
  17. At least the good old US of A still allows it's people the freedom to make their own decisions about hunting. Nanny State UK
