The pubs closing are not a result of people drinking less, it’s because people are drinking more and they are drinking at home because it’s cheaper to buy it by the crate instead of in pints......the breweries are better off selling it in supermarkets than pubs now, less overheads/wages etc and they can sell unlimited amounts of it as the supermarkets can just stock it up till its sells. £9 f**k me, crazy ain’t it......you can buy 8 Stella’s and a litre of frosty jacks for that over here lol think most I paid was £11 so that was only a quick visit to that bar. Sounds a lot to us but when they earn £15 - £20 an hr shelf stacking it is relevant to them and they ain’t all about hammering it either lol would you go back??

Yeah it’s a good set up really mate, young swedes do like a drink but not like we do over here lol I got refused drinks loads of times in bars in Stockholm just because I looked like I would be drunk after a few more soon found the dodgy Serbian owned bars tho and they were wild places that let you drink as much as you wanted. what part did you go to?

I went over to Hungary for a mates wedding.......was in a rough as f**k part of budapest and the party was held in a big old club and no one behind the bar spoke English so I just kept pointing to the bottles in the fridge and drinking whatever they gave me.......after 3 or 4 I said to my Hungarian mate that the beer was shit as I didn’t even feel anything from it.....he looked at my bottle and started laughing......in big letters across it (in Hungarian) it said “alcohol free lager” lol Made up for it when the palinka started flowing though I’ve never really had the shakes before but th

Bet it wasnt cheap to go out on the beer in Norway lol in sweden I used to pay £5 a pint (wasn’t even a full pint like we have) of norrlands guld, and it was 5.3% so £30 a night just on beer at least to sit in an average small sports bar in a small town called vasterhanige lol does Norway have the same set up as sweden where you can only buy up to 3% beer in shops and anything stronger has to be brought in the government shops after 6pm? Some going that mate, i did drink spirits and would polish off the bottle if I started one lol luckily tho it was something I never did regular as that game will f**k you up far quicker than Stella! I know what you mean mate and that’s why I like talking about it, I can only talk from experience and if I’m not honest about it ultimately I’m only lying to myself.....me and drink just don’t work full stop......not everyone will get in that state with it but even less will admit they have a problem with it. And a problem is a problem.....small/medium or large if drink is causing any problem in your life it needs sorting before it escalates to one big massive problem that gets out of control pretty quick.......I always say to people who say how amazing drinking is ring me at 6.30am the next d

All joking aside you will always regret at least not trying that mate......your son gets 4 weeks in Australia to and you don’t have to go forever or he can move over if you stay.......time flys by mate and every single person I know who has been there has loved it.....I might be going to see a mate over there in February if I stay over that side of the world for longer than a month or if not I’ll go in jan 2021 for 6 weeks......do it ?

Lol i do know how it sounds when I go on about it tbh mate and it does sound like I am but it’s not meant like that at all.....I think I’ve just spoke about it to so many different kinds of people that it just flows out naturally now lol but I do understand people get sick of hearing about it, I do understand people don’t really give to flying fucks if I’m sober or not, I do understand THL is not an AA meeting and there’s and time and a place for it but at the same time there might be just that one person who reads it and decides to get sober and their life in order as they read it can be done

I went in an old haunt a few weeks back to see a mate and the same people were all sat in the same seats drinking and sniffing coke like they were 20 years ago......I sat with them for 15 mins and left thinking how happy I was not to be apart of that crowd anymore as like you say they just look like pricks lol

My problem was I loved the drinking side of it lol for me getting absolutely battered was my soul aim as soon my lips touched that first sip......nothing (and I mean absolutely nothing) mattered, if I was stood at a bar with half a pint left I’d already be thinking of my next one more than carrying on the random conversation I was having over the bowl of peanuts that people dip their hands in after going for a piss lol i was pretty f***ing good at drinking tbh, I’d be the first in the pub and the last one out most nights and still be looking for a shop or a session going on after. Same here mate lol I could never, ever just go for one beer and go home......I’d go pub till I was drunk and got thrown out then the shop on way home for 8 Stella’s to drink at home at i would still be wanting more after!
