Forget fens and hares .theses types have proved thereselfs on some serious rough ground on rocks and in bogs were most faulter running some big gear that go and go for some miles over some dangerous ground to man and dog .

I could live a dog that opened up out of frustration a lot better than something that ran of his own accord and agenda now that would do me .now I have never owned one of theses types mchull or others own i had no need but I respect what they keep and they put them out week after week on ground that's beyond what I have to make regular kills so fair play to them

I agree about getting anything direct and why would you I expect there pups would be in big demand and kept amongst them .as for yapping I have seen it many times normally out of frustration or over matched .but that said I have seen dogs that open up still kill some amount of gear .years ago it was a serious fault but I don't think its thought of as bad theses days but a good dog is a good dog and I haven't seen a dog some couldn't pick fault with .

I don't get that part Ripley lurchers as a rule are generally very good round dogs .watch Perdys progress on YouTube .and as for retrieving cut his space right down a alley way or a lobby are good places to start and if needs be get down on one knee and use a silly voice if you have to .make everything a game play tug of war but remember he's still a pup and don't over do any training in case he gets bored message casso or neal on here they will point you in the right direction

Best present this year watching grand kids open there presents this year after not doing it last year because of corvid and seeing there faces light up with excitement that's enough for me

You only need to walk across it yourself to see how heavy going it is and how much easier it is on firm ground unless on a golf course then they really fly
