  1. 36 grand of oak to protect today before we start putting it together outside and lifting them into place
  2. Cracking little van mate, you can get miles more in them than you think, little 1.3 diesel, runs on fresh air, I’ve got one myself
  3. I always griddle pan fry them on a high heat ( griddle them so they are not sat in the fat ) then in the oven for between 10/15 minutes then let them rest for 15 minutes because they are still cooking once out the oven
  4. I’m sure you would (lol) would you give me a lift back
  5. Good luck to you sir, life is too short to work til you drop, no point being the richest man in the graveyard I’m in my mid 40’s now and would happily retire now, keep running my shoot and potter around for a bit of pocket money, my missus earns enough to easily support us both, but my happiness is no concern of hers ( lol )
  6. Making a start on my next motor to sell for a bit of pocket money they even dropped it off for me and it came with a clutch kit, bottom arm, drop link, oil and filter and a timing chain kit, full service history, 4 new tyres and a new turbo fitted a month ago and she said to me if I find out it needs anything else let her know and she’ll supply the parts for free got to be a few quid in this at 1200 quid
  7. Chicken, chilli pasta for me chicken, mushrooms creamy pasta for her
  8. Giving my mate a hand today fitting sandstone sills to an extension he’s doing, I love working with people who are really good at what they do, next door is Rishi Sunak’s house, that place is massive the owner of this place is in finance but his hobby is messing around with wood, he had a workshop built that has been fully kitted out by Festool, most joiners shops don’t have a set up like this guy
  9. Griddled chicken breast with garlic and thyme roast new spuds and a leek, white wine and cream sauce, few carrots

  13. Looks like they have found the poor kid in the riverFamily of Lewis Penfold-Roche informed after body found in River Tees
  14. Yes please, I’ve just got in from foxing at my shoot and that is what I’m going to have now, minus the sourdough, it will just have to be on a bit of brown seeded
  15. Corn beef stew, scouse, panackelty, call it what you will, looks like sh*te tastes lovely
  16. No mate, 1.6 diesel, I’ve replaced a few of them eco boost engines, the early ones were terrible for overheating and you couldn’t do anything with them apart from replace the full lump on another note, I’ve just given someone 1200 quid for a 66 plate Citroen nemo, just needs a clutch ( which is supplied with the van ) should be a few quid in that
  17. Sacked work off today to catch up on a few jobs first off cleaned my garage out, I’ve got no idea how I accumulate so much sh*te then replaced the floor in the trailer And then sold a car for a tidy little profit, happy days
  18. Running concrete in for the piling lads this morning then onto trenching for services to a garage that’s apparently getting built
  19. Back up to the beautiful north, a quick chicken dinner and a nap in my chair, I’ve came to the conclusion that I hate London and with a bit of luck will never have to go anywhere near the place again
  20. My mate priced them up, they want them over 2 meters tall and I think the hedge is about 40 meters
  21. My view for the next 5 hours, stuck in the car with my missus and my mam, wish me luck
  22. It’s been on our local news a lot lately, it’s sad but a lot end up in the river and it’s normally months before they find them, there was an old girl that went in around Christmas and they still haven’t recovered her body
  23. All it wanted was some 10mm rebar dropping into the concrete, they are mental, they have asked for a price for a yew hedge and just to buy the plants is over 6k
  24. Seriously, I’m not making this up, there’s a 6’ wall going there, I dug a 500 deep trench which I thought was more than enough, then they got an engineer in ( who knows why ) and now his mates are piling it 5 meters down for a little under 10 grand ( lol )
  25. Type one in and the lads are here piling, 5 meters down for a 6 foot wall, no idea why, so I’m leaving them too it and off on a 5 hour drive to Reading for a family wedding, think I’d rather stay and put this Yorkshire stone down
