    Which ones???? Are you reloading rimfire?????? Or was that cartridge?? Mini Mag can be had for £9.00 per 100 and I just bought 50 Velocitors for £9.95. Doesn't seem that long ago there was a reasonable choice of .22LR ammo at £4 or less per 100, but I guess it was a few years back!

    I may well need someone in the next week or two for a small ferreting job on a piece of land I control. Site is in Shurlock Row, that's roughly between Reading and Maidenhead. They have taken up residence under a big tree, holes are easy to see and in clean ground, nothing grows under the tree as the tree screens the ground. No money, just told the landowner I would see if I can help him out. Anyone interested, please pm me asap. Cheers!

    The springs on the bodygrips are toytown compared to the Kania. And yes, it is real fun and games setting the Kania in many a roof space!!!! It was a shock to me the first time I ever saw one, anyway, I must be doing something right, I still have all my fingers!

    Everyone's circumstances/land/requirements/experience/etc/etc is different. There are limited numbers of Red round my way (and never even seen a CWD in the field) but my .243 has served me well for all deer to date. I also have .308 but it gets more use on the Range than in the field. I use the 150g in the .308 and it really is an easy shoot, mine is a Remington 700 SPS Stainless Light barrel and is surprisingly easy on the shoulder! I've never actually shot the 6.5 but I have the 270 numerous times, not a fan. Have you ruled out a 308 for some reason?????

    Yep, don't know why but not a fan of Trump these days. I thought Ronnie was lapsing into old ways with his Referee debates as well, but Trump simply not of form. There is a way to go and whatever, they have BOTH reached the World Final!

    Thanks everyone, but the various Forums have only come up with people serious distances away, I would like face to face handover/discussion with whoever does the work and I'm struggling. More than happy to travel sensible distances but the closest so far has been over 200 miles...EACH WAY. So, once again, anyone know someone who knows what they are doing and can give this a thorough service for me please, as close to Reading as possible. Cheers

    Excellent on foxes and flat for a while, but falls away at distance quite quickly. Energy retention falls away to. Just the same, out to 200 yards superb, good to 300(ish), depends on distance you need! They work well in my Tikka T3 Hunter but can be fussy about twist! I think the Tikka T3 Supervarmint 243 and my Hunter are both 1-10 just the same.

    Never specifically had a snake job, but on 2 separate occasions found one in external rat boxes, jumped out of my skin on first sight!

    Some .22lr powder is filthy, mine have SAK on them and simply taking them off and thumping them, piles of crud fall out! I clean all my barrels regularly, but my .22lr's the least, they are dedicated, Sub Sonic Lead ammo guns, no copper coat. Just the same when I do clean them it is carefully and thoroughly, I never use a bore snake as the OP mentioned, evil things!

    Part of reply just received from BASC............... "I’ve spoken to a couple of colleagues and as long as the relevant General Licence you are controlling the Canada’s under is followed ............... you will be within the law." Obviously still rules about night shooting, artificial illumination, for instance, but seems NIGHT SHOOTING SPECIFICALLY is within the law.

    It's a Great site to have on the CV, the bloke is the typical big shot who thinks he knows things but really doesn't have a clue! I get silly statements all the time from customers, but as I have never had to deal with Canada Geese at night before I thought I better double check. Interestingly, I still have no confirmation back from NE or the BASC yet.

    Sensible logic, I like that! Nothing is ever simple, I didn't think it was a problem NIGHT shooting, but a senior guy on site said it was, so I said I would get it confirmed. What a load of malarkey that has turned into!
