    I agree there’s no way I am condoning high prices for dogs but like wise folks expecting them for next to nothing are just as bad, in my book tight b*****ds are just as bad as greedy b*****ds.

    £500 is a lot of cash for the latest fad dog but there’s a lot of skint folks out there,who are only just getting by each week so can you really blame them for trying to make a few extra pounds?,regards £15 for a dog!! My guess is you’re never reared a litter? I’ve reared 3 litters of pups,2 litters for me a pup,1 litter for 2 mates & she only had 2 pups at £90 each,stud fee was £60 plus heat lamp, fresh meat, KC reg,rearing good pups is not a cheap job.its a very generous thing to give some one a pup for free or £20 but you shouldn’t expect it.

    I joined this forum in November and the first topic that caught my eye was the bedlngton crosses of the 90s,great topic for me, it seemed to attract good conversation and lads that are happy hunting rabbits but on some threads (topics) this is almost frowned upon! Especially with terriers,for me if someone wants to hunt rabbits exclusively then it’s nothing to do with anyone else,I say let’s see more posts on what you like hunting with your dogs and fxxk the flack you may get.

    I went to buy a first cross fell collie x greyhound off typp in around 95-97, I wasn’t impressed with his set up,the pups were kept in what can best be described as a rabbit hutch which were clean but only fit for rabbits, the fell collie dam which was the smallest collie I’ve ever seen was also kept in a separate hutch from the pups,when my pup was put on the floor it just cling to the floor! The wife just gave me one of those looks! Regardless I left my £10 deposit but the wife made me see sense on the way home and I never bought the pup, it probably would have made a nice dog but it had not

    It's not the north east but if you get stuck he's well worth a visit to Leigh nr Wigan,Ken Woodacre he used to make a living traveling around greyhound stadiums and various meeting places, the last time I used him was around 5 years ago for a hard going cocker spanial which he sorted for £5,I've had some great results with him but he no longer travels the country you must go to his house now,really nice man.

    Years ago I got four cubs ferreting,I gave them away to mates, one of them lived in doors with a jack Russell until it was around 16 months then it just cleared off one day,I’ve killed foxes on shooting estates or were farmers wanted rid of them,however I can not see the point of killing foxes that are not causing a problem,I also don’t understand the hatred some people seem to have for foxes, maybe it’s just talk.

    Running dogs on rock hard frozen ground will end with broken toes unless you have a very specail dog.

    Will do, there’s a working bedlington forum, also there’s a working bedlington terrier & lurcher club forum (which I’ve tried to join but with no success yet) you maybe have more chance of a pup on there.

    Rescue centres usually charge the same as David Hancock! It looks like a second cross to me as first crosses usually have pendulum ears like a bedlington but I could be wrong, as for males not making good hunters that's bollocks, but after saying all that it could make a great little dog,all the best with it.

    There was report on hare coursing on the one show a few weeks back, they had left a dog with a broken leg to die,the dog has been re homed which is good news, they also interviewed the farmer that had been smacked in the face and who as now got a large scare on his face.for me these people are scum they don't give a fxxk who's land they ride over who they smack with iron bars but worst of all for me they don't care who's children they run over as they ride through rural villages being chased by the police,it's scum like this who make it difficult for decent lads to get permission.
