Mate I recently caught a magpie with spraying cider I shoul clarify bought a small bottle of magners and put in my wifes hairspray bottle after a rinse or two and sprayed it on the mk6 fenn trap with moss covering and trail leaving cut apple as bait at both ends it was the worst rabbit catch ever but dont know if it was cider apple or just something shiny under the moss it spotted but it worked hope this helps

hello there I use spring traps such as mk4 fenn place either on runs or in the burrow itself from my current research you can baitthem with apples and surprisingly enough carrots and even cider in aspray bottle to lure those pesky wabbits dan the scotsman also a bit of a novice

good to know im not the only one hunting grey squirrels with my kids

as I enjoy hunting and work in kitchens I would recommend a suction cup knife sharpener from amazon mate its simple compact lightweight and ultimately does a good job

I have tanned squirrel hide with salt and egg yolk as a tanning solution try going to you tube for egg tanning no drums hope this helps

as both approved and bushcraft spring traps can both have pitfalls I dont see the difference with which you choose

if in doubt why not try a live trap first however you will be legally bound to kill the grey squirrell as it is a criminal offence to release it
