  1. tikka out of choice older ones are often better quality but they all shoot & are not fussy if money is tight then CZ will see you right untill the end of time if youve a few quid more to spend then SA|KO or a 2nd hand Blaser R93 cant be beaten.
  2. leave them all & go 204 ruger faster flatter more accurate cheaper & easier to load more readily available
  3. no its for game & i have an AI but this is for distance hunting in the uk & overseas i spend time in Canada every autumn & NZ this year too.
  4. right guys all i seem to hear lately is people complaining about BASC not wanting to challenge firearms licensing depts on the letter of the law that they are quite happy to let things gpo along rather than force the issue even less so now members have legal liability cover there seems to be a great aversion to handgun issues for dispatch by them according to what im hearing & many now consider them in the establishments pocket, not wanting to upset or challenge the establishment but rather to post a face & go along with things i must say this saddens me as i have always received great
  5. hi guys i live just outside Abergavenny in S Wales worked as a keeper/gillie most of my life currently semi retired i run a grouse syndicate in Scotland but do mostly rifle shooting deer boar & fox along with quite a bit of dispatch work on farms, my other hobbies include keeping my firearms dept extremely busy lol my politics is Right of center despite being brought up a socialist, i'm not racist i hate everyone lol.
  6. theres just something about wood but laminate like boyds are a good compromise
  7. i dissagree about the oil it depends on the finish you have a fully sealed wooden stock will be impervious to oil etc
  8. i like this calibre but find it fussy on ammo each seems to have a very specific taste
  9. personal chioice is what it comes down to in the end i like wood its warm to the touch & tactile giving a pleasing aesthetic appearance to the rifle if not always practical, im willing to sacrifice the damage it incurs in use in poor conditions for the pleasure it gives me personally however synthetic has its advantages.
  10. i have a slot for a 338 rifle quite fancy the new savage stealth in 338 lap mag any comments, advice or experience welcome.
  11. i have a sako quad in 17hmr & 22 & it s great as long as your mount is high enough to change barrels without taking the scope off perfectly accurate & reliable im only changing as i have a 204 & the 17 no longer gets used.
