Yeah no problem phil? out with it now:) this doesn’t feel to bad at all, thought it might be a bit of a mare but I’m liking it so far?
-
It’s off out in the morning? bit big/long For him but my lad put a few through it and the smile on his face said it all.. he’s up for a day out with his poachers 410 next weekend?
-
Just stuck a box of 5’s through it, more than happy and it’s on point out of the box.. patterns nicely at 30yrd! itll do for me and got a good deal?

ive been using an impact .25 for last 18months, its doing 880fps using jsb heavy 34gn shot count is about 80ish@56ftlb this was a 96 yrd the other night and I was picking them off at 134 along a wood line from top of a bank no problem after I sussed the right hold over! I never change the power and use it at that for the rats and birds.. you can knock the power down and use lighter pellets and get a better shot count. shot the crown in sub 12 and its a nice rifle to use, never thought about .22 air or rimfire as this will do me for rabbits and got bigger stuff for foxes a

my foxing mate bought the 410 version a few weeks back so his lass can have a go on walkabouts, there both happy with it.. I just fancy a bit more welly
-
cheers...are they subs or dose the silencer do a good job of shutting it up?! the gun comes up ok so ill see if I can hit stuff with it, if not the red dot could be an option
-
it fits me well sd... it won't be costing me much either as the sg im gonna chop in was cheap off a mate and I fix/tune the air guns for the shop! wanted one for years, I shoot land backing onto housing estates and theres a clamp on one of the farms that gets hammered but theres a pigeon loft next to it so I always use an air riffle. and if it keeps the hippies off me back it'll be worth its weight in gold recon ill of buckled and got it before the days out.
-
any of you lads on here have any experience with these?! up until last years bs I use to go hide shooting loads but with packman's bollox and antis phoning the police all the time ive chilled out and not been very much at all of lately.. ive got an o/u that is basically redundant as my beretta semi is my goto for everything but if I can keep the racket down id be back in the hide a lot more. there are massive numbers of Woodys about at the moment that I put down to last years uncontrollable breeding, all the fields around my area are full of flags and crow scarers that do

Makes you proud when you look at what our forefathers did??

Chicken man ain’t Irish... me Irish mate thought it would be a good idea to go visit the local nockin shop after the Christmas do and take a few keep sake photos! his bird found them and didn’t kick him out.. how lucky was that?
-
Same up north, the Irish lads still know how to party on a school night! worked with a lad who took on an allotment cos it was nearer to the pub than his house, used to get pissed and kip in the chicken coup.. he smelt a right treat?
-
I can take you to a local lake thats like a Honda graveyard, its full of old v50's and step through 70's! most of them are next to what was a massive jump that just killed them.. surprised it didn't kill any of us either seen as thought it was about the same time we discovered Booz still fish it every now and again with the kids, always have a little laugh when I see someone getting snagged cos I know what's down there
-
I'll have a go.. cheers stav

That remoner solicitor springs to mind? our first trip wasn’t very fruitful, think we were armed with a catapult and a big stick, we went back to hand lining the trout after that night?
-
There’s a section for tanning on here, sure the lads will help you out if you put a post up? https://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/forum/121-taxidermy-tanning/ edit... cocked link up
-
That’s a very diplomatic answer stav.. there were a few posts in the general section as well?? Shame use to like his posts, wonder if he bought that scope on the end?
-
I’ll never forget me first lamping trip, it consisted of nicking/borrowing a car battery from a crashed car from behind garage in the village and carting it round the fields in a wicker basket.. think I was 8! Was about the time me mates neighbour threw us in for diy Larsen traps with shopping trolleys ?
-
yeah.. I can roll with the invest in the midlands and north, about time.... looks like he wants to carry on building up his Northern support
-
not sure but smashing the gaffers laptop up is going to get you plenty more shooting time
-
spotters are brilliant sd. be it nv or thermal.. ive spent hours just watching how animals behave you see some amazing stuff if you see a laptop in a skip smash the battery pack up, there full of the right size batteries soldered together. im still shooting with the lamp on top as well, nice result
-
thats it im gonna sign both of you up
-
it will if you aim them at his house

my mates 6 foot odd and dont look out of place with it, its all about what fits you and suits your style of shooting! ive not used my ou since I bought a new semi that has next to no kick at all, only reason its still in the cabinet is so theres a spare for any mates that want to come out! -
dont think anyone could be sure of what you get from the chinky, ive never been able to cook me tea in two mins flat
