Bought a few of these tanks from a friend when she was downsizing her set up and they just been sitting around , wife said she wanted a lil deal for her s and the like so thought I'd make a new aquaponoics set up Nothing serious at all pea gravel media ,grow bed from a concrete mixing pan ,cheap little fountain pump , $20 grow light , scrap 2x4's some shiners and gold fish from the bait store. Currently growing a peppermint a cherry tomato and Tabasco pepper. Was gonna add a swirl filter on the back but decided against it.8 points

I take people as I find them, don't get me wrong I wouldn't want travellers as my neighbours or on the fields facing my gaff. But 90% that frequent my little buisness and that is pretty much every week. They are all big spenders and are polite and no bother. The 10% that are rude or try it on, well my shop manger is like a pit bull. She takes no prisoners and tells them straight. We had some same families coming inn for over 15 years or more. I often have the crack over the old days of coursing and such like and banter with them. We had Tyson and Paris fury in. One of Tysons younger brothers7 points

Can say what you want about the gypsy’s, hardly my fave folk but an it is a big but haha look at the state the fans left Glasgow aftwr winning league, look at state of places like Glastonbury every year, as well as countless other venues all over the world that are left in a state as bad if not worse, then look at the state some the migrant communities actually live in full time, there streets are like landfill sites haha an we can hardly blame the gypo’s for all them messes either can we?6 points

Got a bitch here thats half cane corso; with me doing lots of nights the missus wanted a dog around for when I was out. From about 5 months old she would naturally gaurd. She's perfect around the kids, spaniel and stock. Shes 26tts and about 110lbs so looks the part; when the missus walks her she will always put herself between her and strangers until shes told 'off or walk on' and then will do so. If we're at beach/ up the woods and the kids wonder off to play she will follow them whilst keeping an eye on us aswell. Not a dog I wanted or would choose but she certainly fits the bi6 points

Makes you wonder why they even bother going out to work when every one of them are a bare knuckle prizefighting champion and own the best match dog/trotting horse/fighting chicken in the country. You'd think they'd have no need to go out ripping off old grannies too.5 points

Tonight is a quick and simple as I’m out with my boy. King prawn spaghetti. Fry lots of garlick, a small onion finely chopped….as they start to go translucent add in king prawns, let fry until all pink, add some garden peas and good grind of black pepper. Take a cup of the salted water you boiled your spaghetti in and add a little to the prawns, add a good lot of tomato purée and then use the rest of water to adjust sauce thickness as it thickens. Pour the whole lot over your pot of drained spaghetti, add in a load of fresh chopped basil and give it a good mix. Takes a4 points

Not cooked it for a while but I did a beef Rendang today. Garam masala, cinnamon, turmeric, black pepper & brown sugar for the spice base. Then chicken stock, a tin of coconut milk, tamarind and lime juice (3 limes) in a jug. Raisins and sultanas. Fry off garlick, onion and ginger……add the spice base and allow to warm, add 2lb of cubed beef and fry. When you think it’s about right add the liquid and fruit. Transfer to a casserole dish with lid and allow to cook for 3 hours at about 150/180. Water all evaporates off and the sauce is almost black when done.4 points

The thought of my kids growing up in a similar slum would make me shudder,it wasn’t character building,it was just plain shit, but can’t turn the clock back so just made sure my kids had happy carefree childhoods in decent areas.3 points

I grew up not far away and car theft was the entry level/apprenticeship. I always found the Ghia interia thing quite poetic justice. Steal a posh Ford, strip the interior, sell it to a lad who could not afford the top spec but was posh (had a job and legally owned a car), wait until he pays someone to install it, then steal it back and sell again. The gift that kept on giving. Then ram raiding happened. Hard to imagine now, you could drive a Transit and Land Rover into a shopping mall and straight through Curries window. Zero mechanical protection to stop it happening. Not me, I was neve3 points

Yep just a eye opener for him he hasn’t seen stuff like that before he’s been sheltered away from that stuff we grew up very differently sometimes you have to experience stuff to be wise to it and then teach about it3 points

Mate, everything you say should be correct….and indeed is correct for many, many ordinary everyday British people. However, this is a societal decline, it’s a disease and almost every f****r has caught it. For every right minded 40 something parent doing everything in their power to raise kids right there is an opposite number who regard this f***ing degradation as normal…..they got raised in this environment too and were obviously unlucky enough not to have people in their life who said “stop it, this is not us !” Just spend a day watching 3rd world behaviours on the telly,3 points

Well over 50 years ago there used to be a gypsy family appear at a lane near Gosforth park , just outside of Newcastle. These weren’t “travellers”, I’d guess they were true Romany ; the man had dark, swarthy skin , green eyes and a sort of ginger Afro ! The woman was a caracature of the old gypsy women that use to come round selling pegs and “ lucky heather “ The kids were barefoot , scruffy, dressed in rags and looked at you with a mixture of bewilderment and distrust. They had an assortment of chickens and dogs, usually Yorkshire terrier and Jack Russells in tea chests, ( r3 points

What you have to remember is mate, many of the parents have been brought up in this environment too….we are a couple of generations into the pollution of our society and it has infected everything. Britain is a 3rd world country, that’s what happens when you import the 3rd world. It’s f***ing horrible to look at and be around….. Im sure all sorts of clever people will be along in this thread to try and square a circle and make all sorts of excuses and “what abouts?” But bottom line is, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it’s a f***ing duck….. If it’s not the3 points

No stabbings, no street robberies, no sexual assaults…… 123 arrests in total starting from a few weeks in the build up to the event, so 43 for people travelling there and eighty at the event itself. All drink and some drug related, one for a man who punched a horse ! lol Police have said they were arresting for much lower levels of crime and they believe that made for a safer event……maybe the Met could take a leaf out of their book for some of London’s more…..culturally enriching events ? I wonder if they will ? lol3 points

Whenever I go to a country fair I always say to the wife there are blokes walking around with guns on their shoulders, you can buy knifes, axes and machetes of all sizes and people are drinking alcohol from the moment the gates are opened. Everyone waits in a queue and are extremely polite, the bins are used and you dont see a scrap of litter and there is not a hint of trouble from the 1000's of people attending. Its a shame it never gets mentioned on MSM, although probably don't fit in with the agenda.2 points

Mines was the exact same mate there actually farm dogs so naturally sound around livestock and humans and with a natural guarding instinct and a decent hunting ability . Like any dogs everyone breeds shite, there’s dogs then there’s dogs just need to do your homework and get the right lines like with any breed.2 points

I cant grow Tomatoes outside if I do they always get late blight. In the green house I get away with it most years, I do get a bit of early blight but you can get away with that. I spray with Aspirin about half a soluble tablet in a pint. I also spray a solution of Magnesium which helps fending off blight. Cheers Arry2 points
