  1. Absolutely !…….its old hat to say but I wouldn’t want to be young, starting out or starting a business over there now…..what’s the point ? My oldest daughter bought her first house last year, a pretty good part of the U.K. (Northern Ireland)…..she was sick of it within 3 months. ! Nothing worked in healthcare, getting your bins collected, never any money left (out of two very good salaries). Lovely house in a decent area, but still the high street felt a bit dodgy with beggars and odd balls etc etc She sold it a week before Christmas, she said she is never going back to th

  2. When I retired 21 years ago, I could have gone to live anywhere; I have family in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, Cyprus , the Middle East, but I chose to come home because my aging parents were still alive. Im to old to think about a major relocation now, I did that when I was in my 20’s and don’t regret a minute of it. I fear for the prospects of the young in this country. Cheers.

  4. The biggest release I know of was from a breeding program in Norfolk were 25 were released a few were re captured a few killed on roads but a good number melted in to the wild never to be seen again of the three species we have here they are the most secretive and seen less, in the 1980s a good mate of mine watched one for 25 mins climbing down a cliff in a quarry he had the lamp on it but it couldn’t run away I arrived half hour later and just saw the pug marks in the silt on the quarry floor it would not surprise me if they never went extinct here and clung on in a few small pockets now boos

  8. I can exclusively reveal Greyman released those lynx. It's all part of his dastardly masterplan to populate the UK with big cats in order to 'prove' their existence. He's been breeding them on the QT on his boat.

  9. Having a walk out and I always walk down the railway line and onto the golf course if it’s cold and there nobody there, there’s many pipes the dogs always like to sniff at, I think they’re just to let the water through, some are eight inches and twenty feet long some are bigger or so and one pipe is huge about twenty inches in diameter would fit a staffy in it, my little Patterdale bitch sniffed and starting wagging her tail dropped in the huge pipe and after a few minutes baying a huge dog fox ran out the other end and over the field, didn’t have no running dog, but was good to see. She's trying to temp me up for a walk out this weekend but I have plans made and I'm 150 miles away! Shame really. Next weekend hopefully. I'm just hoping the snow hangs on!!

  16. From the old carvings it looks like they acted a bit like modern personal protection dogs . Imagine trying to take-on this chap as he advanced toward you! I have a book somewhere about the War Dog training schools in WW1 . Apparently lots of people donated their pets to the Army, either because of food shortages or through patriotism. A high percentage of these donated pets proved unsuitable during the six weeks of training and were unceremoniously shot . Some of the lucky ones were enlisted to guard military camps . Others went to the front with duties such as se

I believe you have to start again with your tickets but once you have the basic knowledge in the UK it can’t be much different, another manager I know has also located to Saudi for a five year stint only recently, I would imagine it’s easy to be honest. The amount of times you’ve made your way back on here I would imagine getting a job on the railway abroad would be a doddle for you lol …

  26. Starmer has ordered the monitoring of Musks tweets by a Home Office group tracking “extremists”. Theres also talk of them blocking Musks tweets, how they would do that without banning X , I don’t know, but I’m sure Musk will relish the fight. It’ll be like Starmer turning up to a nuclear war armed with a catapult…. Cheers.

Im quite happy with Potter i think he's a good fit for the direction we should be going in.....Floppy was a disastrous appointment from day 1 he was brought in to supposedly take us to the next level after Moyse brought 3 years of European football, high placed league finishes and stability to the club.....but all we've had is shit side to side football with no end product averaging barely a goal a game and a lower win rate than Avram Grant ffs.....ok he was undone by players with a low work rate, defensive errors ( mainly the Greek ) and poor finishing....but he's still just a Spanish version o

  43. Modern football terminology irritates the fcuk out of me.., and especially when it comes out the gob of some pundit who I don’t feel has earned the right to sit there and enlighten me as to what I’ve just been watching. Turnover, recycling, transitioning, pivoting, low block, high press, overload, breaking lines…, all p!sh new terms for which we already had perfectly adequate (and often more descriptive) language for. Probably made up in some think tank by people who think they’ve reinvented football. D!cks!
