Now here is a good pub quiz question - ‘what is the connection between a fly fishing rod a Pickardie lurcher bitch, a joint of Aberdeen Angus beef, a jar of honey and a jar of home made chutney? The answer, to stop you completely shaking your head off, is simple, it’s because of the friendliness and generosity of some folk on this forum, let me explain...... Earlier this year I contacted a member of the forum (Jok), regarding a Trout rod and other fly fishing gear he was advertising for sale on here and following an exchange of PM’s, I arranged a visit. I received a very wa27 points

Her families coming Monday for BBQ. Unfortunately they won't eat anything 'cute' or 'cruel'. Halal 6 week old KFC is fine obviously but they won't touch anything that doesn't sit well with their bizarre twisted reality. So I'm making a load of special 'lamb' burgers .15 points

It was and always will be, a pleasure to help people out. I’m so glad that ‘Jade’ has gone to a good home. I hope ‘Wyeman’ has many years of pleasure with her and of course with the fly fishing gear. Jok.5 points

If your keeping 5 to hatch more, especially mixed breed things, then you are going to have to get your head around killing the cocks mate. Find someone local who keeps ferrets and tell her they have gone to live on a farm. Perhaps stop breeding rubbish. I really really don't mean to be offensive with that comment. Just buy her some pure bred birds , something really nice with a bit of value5 points

probably are but try finding them, job centres are a total waste of time if your seeking information, they will tell you f/all, old timer from there who had recently retired told me that they are not there to help you, only to assist you if you know what forms to ask for, cnuts coming off the dingies have lines of people there to tell them about every single thing they can claim but ignore the ones who have paid into the system that should be looked after.4 points

I'm another year older today so, the missus asked what I wanted for dinner ......... Liver, bacon and onions with homemade chips and marrowfat peas (like Nan used to do in the 80s ). For someone that hates liver and has never cooked it before, she did that very nice ??4 points

Mate he put the other dogs to shame that dog. There was presas , a couple of bandogs that are well known in this country for protection and trials work and a couple of American bull dogs. This little 38llb wheaten got smashed 10ft in the air by this one big boar and did not take a step backwards once4 points

Even the chap who filmed that thinks it's not a leopard, he's changed parts and thinks it could be a wildcat cross now. I have to agree about ferals, in towns and around dairy farms they are normal or under sized, but out in the country you get some brutes..3 points

Nothing really.. but me and soft lad did a "dry run" and put the tents up a few days back. He lives in a flat so came to me. Pretty straight forward as expected to be fair. His inner came separate so now that is fastened in he can leave the inner and outer together so saves faffing when we actually get out. My Helm 2. Very pleased with it.. glad I went with the 2 for a bit of extra room. Tackleberry's Vano mirage I think it is. Also a 2 manner. Penciled in next Friday for the maiden voyage!!3 points

The price of them has gone through the roof now, not that long ago they were worth more in bits, me and the lad who had the 3 door used to have a unit where we would break cars, I paid 1500 quid for a 4x4 saf that had been under a truck and made my money back selling the head/block and crank, the last one we did before he went off to spend a long stretch at her majesty’s B&B was a RS500 and the money we made from it was mental, front bumper splitter £500, bare front bumper £1200, bare dash case £1800 this was early 2000’s so god knows what sort of money this stuff goes for now2 points

The hybrid's are the biggest threat to the Scottish wildcat, along with road causalities, and are best destroyed or at least neuter before release. https://digital.nls.uk/pubs/e-monographs/2020/216547659.23.pdf2 points

Yes, never thought of that, but even with that, it doesn't fit in the catagory of big cats, so can be dismissed as any sort of evidence of their existence.2 points

This is what a dead big cat looks like. And road kill is one major cause of death... something that big lying by the side of the road will get some attention.... it does say on the video that it is a kellas type cat which is a hybrid of scottish wild cat and a domestic cat which it could be or it might just be a fairly big domestic cat2 points

Appears same old same old, still no evidence, no cubs found, no road kill, not film or photos, just confabulation. In a country so heavily populated and studied as this with CCTV covering every urban and many rural areas along with thousands of camera traps across the country we see what is there and don't see what is not. Maybe one could argue for one or two very secretive cats in very rural areas but a breeding population??? Consider, some of our best habitats are nature reserves and as such have minimal disturbance but maximum observation yet never a big cat is seem, why is this?2 points
