  3. Yeah,..Ive found that with many types of genuine Ist Cross Hybrids,..as the litters progress, the end product often decreases in size? As a one -time breeder and worker of home-bred lorchers, I personally felt that the progeny from the initial first cross was the start of a breeding programe. The exciting part for me was where to go next to make an improvement... This fine tuning , testing and working in the hunting field , frequently dictates where to go .?

  5. Oh I agree. I wouldn't give a toss if she copped for a bullet tomorrow. But she was born here....it seems amazing they are so successful in enforcing her being kept out.... even on dubious legal grounding.....yet I've come across illegal immigrants whose asylum appeals ran out in 2015, and they still live here committing crimes . It almost seems like shamima is a side show to take our attention away from the willful flooding of Britain with third world scum

  6. We had a neighbour who was mad on decorating his house at Christmas. When he died far too young everybody in the road decided to decorate our front gardens and houses in his memory every December . The children in the street get to see Santa and we collect three or four hundred quid for charity most years. This is the first year it has snowed on the day of the grand opening . My contribution was Jack Frost and a wooden deer. Hard to believe l was catching tench from this pond a few weeks ago.

  9. I have bought myself a Christmas pressie or two this week as well. In fact I have mostly been spending a fortune ? It started with a trip to the RFDs for bullets, powders, primers and 500 hornady hmr rounds total £530. Well why stop there, so I bought a Drone pro x10 off a bloke i know that has packed up shooting. He hasn’t used it a dozen times. While I was on a roll I thought I might like a new spotter so I bought a Helion 2 pro xp50. Next up i thought I might be able to use a thermal scope in certain conditions so I bought a Senopex A7 long range foxing scope that will arrive next week. Las

  12. Arrr, the elevenses, well that was also my responsibility, we went with, corned beef and potato pie, leek and potato soup ( cooked with a lot of cream and white wine) some tiger bread for dipping and bramble gin and Prosecco, I couldn’t tell you if any of the food was nice because I didn’t get a look in, they destroyed the lot before I’d finished handing out drinks ?

  16. I've got a couple of older smaller bikes sitting in my basement which i picked up a while back, ones a 1975 Yamaha DT100 which i pulled out from the scrapyard i use to work at, it was seized up pretty good, i stripped it down and got it freed off then got it running but it does need a rebuild, but i found out that the mx 100 engine will fit straight in so found one in America that i had shipped here that i'm going to fit it in sometime...and the other one is a 1970 Honda CL100 scrambler which i gave $100 for that had been sitting in a barn for a while, it has only got 4600 miles on it from new

  17. I have built prettier bikes? This last one ,modelled by a small Grandchild, emerged from the derelict remains of a 67 Bonneville and anything l could beg out of friends' scrap piles . I saw it at a bike show a few years ago and only recognised it from the number plate . As the photo shows the very hairy owner had done a little bit of work on it! This one is owned by one of my best mates . He didn't build it like this ; it just evolved over the 40 years of his careful ownership? This Yam Ycs3 was the pride and joy of a wayward friend from my teenage years. Now would you rob

  19. Another day over and despite me thinking it wasn’t going to be a good day due to a few of our main drivers being open and very cold and not getting off to a good start with the first drive, it turned into a cracking day with a beating team that properly put the effort in, allowing me to let all that were shooting to stand all day. Being in charge I quickly ripped up my initial plan and put the beaters through some terrible drives knowing that this is where the birds would be and the guns were not disappointed, although there’s not massive numbers of birds coming out the drives, the birds that

  21. It was early Summer 2022, and i had recently been very lucky to acquire some relatively virgin/unshot Roe stalking ground. I managed to acquire the permission through a series of referrals from a friend to landowners he knew, so after a few drunk chats at said mates wedding, and on being told 'WE HAVE WAY TOO MANY DEER, COME OVER AND HAVE A LOOK', i jumped at the chance but took it on with patient open eyes. Despite me being very close to the 2022 Roe Rutt approaching, and me being eager to get out, I straight away set to doing some quality reconnaissance, not only to properly weigh up t

  22. Bit surreal watching a world cup with the Christmas tree up, and strange that Scottish football started back on Thursday, but got to say I’ve really enjoyed it. From probably the last 16 the levels went up, as the political side show largely died away to leave the football making all the headlines.., just as it should be. The icing for me is watching Messi lift the trophy. The ‘GOAT’ debate will rumble on, but for me Messi emphatically now gets in a three way conversation with Maradona and Pele. Anyone else you care to mention sits on a list of football greats for me, but not the greatest.

  38. I like the look of his stamp of dog. I might get one, it will be my last, so I like the idea of a laid back hairy hound to finish up with. If it turns out to be a dud, it doesn't really matter to me at my age. I think he is stretching it about the bloodlines. He might well have top greyhound blood, it's easy to get hold of a failed greyhound bitch with a fantastic bloodline. But its more difficult to get hold of top working deerhound blood and it would cost you. All in all he seems a decent bloke who produces some eye candy dogs with a very sound temperament. Some folk swear by them so
