With the weather currently against us to consider any kind of lamping, without fear of broken feet. Me and the lad took a trip to our very local mountain range (actually a hill range but I won't tell him just yet). The weather was poor and visibility was worse, but he loved every minute mooching with the dogs up the steep wooded hills, encouraging the spaniel into every bush that crossed our path. He exceeded expectations and against a backdrop of guns clapping from the estates shoot day, he made it to the hut at the top. Not much for the dogs, plenty of tracks but nothing moving. Just needed to get out for a bit today, so the plan was a last light deer stalk, got to my mates place an hour before dark and set off for a wander, it was already-3 and with the breeze felt a good bit colder than that, I’d seen 2 within 10 minutes of being there but was not able to get anywhere near them and they soon hopped the beck onto next doors land, following the beck a long I seen another doe that soon turned into 3, using the edge of the field along the beck as cover I managed to get within 70 yards of them, laying on the frozen ground and adjusting the bipod I was nice and steady on7 points

Evening all, bought this off a customer today, he bought it 8 years ago and fired around 50 pellets since new. .22 flavour hw95 lux if the picture doesn't show it that well. Came with a crap twenty quid scope on it the shop had sold him , he decided he just wasn't any good at shooting and put it back in the cupboard for years till it came up in conversation while I was billing him for moles. It's an absolute minter, really pleased with it. Needless to say I knocked a bit off his bill.6 points

I know I'm going to be unpopular with this post, but to me its a fair enough letter. . The cops may be able to help in slowing traffic or warn motorists of a road hazard. You do get stray hounds on the roads sometimes a mile or so from where the main pack is. When you're doing sixty and you come across a lost hound with zero road sense, it's a major road traffic accident in the making.. Having a couple of guys responding quickly to lost hounds on roads is all that is required to keep the cops happy and people safe. I have told huntsmen of stray hounds on the road and the attitude was a s6 points

Here's a pic that made a topic a while ago, my old Plummer with one of a decent enough number of foxes for a all rounder that she was dug to during her life, Don't honestly care what anyone says about Plummers but that little bitch never let me down or made a fool of herself in the numerus different tasks she had a go at,can't remember now but she's over ten years old in that pic and although she's been gone a few years now i still dearly miss her and what she could do... Over to you FD..................6 points

Rural crime team worried about a local hunt who are there with landowners permission. Whilst farmers and rural businesses are being emptied out over night and lucky to even get a phone call back. Bellends.6 points

I worked for a pack that always had a dedicated road team, flashing orange lights, road signs, high Viz etc. Always in radio contact and prior discussion with police. With anything, from hunting with hounds to lurcher work....if you play the game the police will leave you alone. My mate went on a big estate with his coursing greyhounds last season, on a vermin day, police knew all about it, paperwork all in order. No issues at all. I've done the same with terriers, have paperwork and notify police which area we would be working in. Play the game and the law can get on with othe5 points

One of my biggest mistakes was starting smoking. I've done lots of dumb things in my life , but that was the dumbest . It took me years to quit , and I still spend most of my time with a vape in my hand.5 points

I think people are too quick to ask for money these days, a youngish chap passed away near us recently and his 3 sons started a go fund me apeal ( give us your money ) for the dads furneral as they wanted to give him a good send off, the 3 sons were 25.23,21 years old ffs. I’d be fuking embarrassed asking for something so personal to be paid by others , surely it’s the boys duty to see thier old man put to bed. Probably cost them 1500 each ffs.5 points

My Blackbird. The original import which went to a geezer in Cumbria who owned a motorcycle helmet manufacturing company. The bike went round and round on a circular stage for 7 years with only the cleaning lady giving it a dust. I got wind of it whilst racing at Donnington, made an offer and it was mine. I managed 174 mph outside Assen on the thing. Now that gets the blood rushing. Like yourself, age took over. Gone. Shame. Jok4 points

Nail on the head mate. They claim they are skint but feed kids on expensive ready meals and chicken nuggets full of shit, can’t knock up a heathy meal that feeds for days. I was brought up in poverty i think that makes you try your best to do well, I do get my kids stuff but still make them work for it. You go into a bar or decent place you got all the flash idiots giving it large at the bar, dressed up in all the gear, birds got the tan the lips, turns out they rent a flat. We live in a fake society now4 points

Love the dt125, I had one of them for the field when I was 16, that set me off on my love of the crosser, never restored any but spent the best part of my 20’s rebuilding them and just keeping them going, this is my favourite, it was road registered when I got it but I thought it might kill me if I kept using it on the road, I loved a 2 banger ?3 points

For hungry kids i think the local community centres should be feeding them game, the tv chefs should be on promoting the health benefits of eating game and wild caught fish, they should be taught how to catch and cook it, times are a must now feck all the lefty bollix bla bla they should be shown the wild larder and feed themselves, it would help thin the deer population too3 points

I've made a hundred mistakes in my life. Many I couldn't write about..too stupid and painful. But here's a laugh for you. In 1969 I went to live in London and ended up in Maida Vale. I met a bonny Irish Colleen and ended up sharing her room in the pub where she worked. The owner of the pub found out and after an ugly scene, amazingly, he offered me a part time job in the evenings as some sort of half _arsed security man. The only qualification I had was that I was big and had more confidence than I should have had. It was quite a posh pub and there was no trouble. It was basically" drink2 points

Schools no longer provide cooking lessons for dare I say it girls .Boys no longer learn woodwork I’m told .Society has f****d up tradition and our kids ,kids will pay the price .My wife can rustle up a meal from whatever basics there are in the cupboard ,not often but she knows what to do ,same as my daughter who is now at home with a young child .Teaching people we are all the same ,doing away with the sexes and both parents working is the root to this take away family time watching tele instead of sat round the table talking about the day they’ve all had . It weeds out the people who kn2 points

All have to start somewhere but all the training in the world aren't going to give someone the bollocks when the shit hits the fan. Having said that, a little bit of knowledge will usually get people through the average street scuffle so giving kids a bit of knowledge isn't a bad idea Ps last pic. That's a boy year older than her she's putting down.2 points
