Couple of pics of my son's two lurchers this morning when I had them out,the older one is Roxy (dam to my two Bear & Rose) she's a 5/8 Grey x 3/8 Bull the younger animal is Lucky, she's just a pup again out of Roxy, she was the sole puppy in the litter, her sire is a dog called Thor & he like Roxy being a 5/8 Grey 3/8 Bull so obviously that's what Lucky is too.. Lucky will be starting her working life just now, she's been very immature but in the past fortnight the change in her has to be seen to be believed, the switch is firmly on now & she will 100% do all & everything put in fro22 points

I still have a team of lurchers (cripples & pensioner's) just! I'm down to the 4 lurchers now,old Don is still here with me,he will be 14 on his next birthday,Boots will be 10 year's old come the 1st October & I have his two pup's as I call them although they will be 4 year's old next week on the 9th September,Bear broke his neck a long while back now & unbelievably he fractured another bone in his neck back in February whilst out working,he must be one of very few dog's that's broken his neck twice & is still alive,he's ok again now,not great but just ok,his sister Rose snappe17 points

I quite like an old saying Wilf uses from time to time " you cant go to all the weddings and none of the funerals "....life isnt always fair mate we dont always get what we want or win all our battles without putting the leg work in....so what should we do just roll over and pretend its ok,thereby going against your own entitlement as a decent moral person ?....look i get it not everyone has it in them to stand up and be counted in the face of adversity thats fine....but dont be going against people who do still have a bit of fight in them. Personally im not willing to lose my country jus9 points

I wouldn't change anything. Really happy with where I am and what I've built. Wake up at 8am to coffee in bed, walk the lad to school, over the field with the dogs. Leave for work at 9.30....try and get knocked off for 3.30-4. Every day something different. Loved keepering and hunt service and if I had 2 lives then one of them would be back doing that....but I don't.....so I can now hunt shoot and fish once a week anywhere in Britain. I don't say any of this in a bragging way, I know things can change in a heartbeat and things might fall to pieces tomorrow. Hard times are coming and8 points

This is Bear..even after having a broken neck he's still capable of doing almost everything he could before his accident..it's just the smaller ground game he isn't as nimble at picking up as he was prior to breaking his neck but he can still run ok,jumping etc is all good too ..he's a beautiful dog in all aspects, never seen a dog with such a lovely temperament as him,not a bit of aggression in the dog but in the field he'd take on a lion & the rest of the pride too all at the same time ? I know nigh on every lurcherman wouldn't own him as he is after such an injury & being honest back7 points

Picked her up Saturday and by Sunday morning managed to upset the whole street ? Lovely character and sticks to me like glue. Completely different mentality from the bull cross as you would expect I guess lol. Around the ferrets like they are equals and job done pretty much straight away. She is not out to kill every thing at least not yet. Unlike the old chap who was a slog from the word go. Collie grey x collie grey. Her brother is spare just good working home wanted ideally. Pm me for contact details ( llandeilo) Looking forward to the next year pottering about6 points

So the lad has just been up to walk them in, he said everything seems to have made its way back to the pen and I believe him, he’s the longest serving member of the shoot and no idiot, so I can rest a little easier tonight and I’ll go up first thing tomorrow and he’ll walk them in tomorrow evening and with a bit of luck they will realise where they live5 points

Probably not… the rural crew are fcukin idiots, they’ll only give lads with guns shit cos they ain’t got the arse to go out on a night in case they get filled in?? ive got to point now I couldn’t give a fcuk about losing me licence and I’ll forfeit it.. Years back when I used to be up and down the old A13 , there was a little nick by the lights at Rainham , the other side of the lights a chap had a house , there was a long strip of waste land that run for for a good couple of hundred yards with scrub trees and bushes to the front , over the course of a few years bit by bit he was moving his fence and adding it on to his place .One night on our way back with the dogs we actually watched him move the posts , he’d cut the vegetation back just four or five yards , uprooted the old posts and moved them , used the old wire and when I drove by next4 points

Back up today and looking at them he’s given us birds of different ages, the ones in the forestry pen are all the same and seem happy enough in the pen, when I got to Gordon’s pen, well I never even got to the pen there was a good number wandering the track near the farm, not ideal seeing as they have just gone in, I walked what I could see back into the cover at the rear of the pen and hopefully they’ll hear their mates and head back around the pen,the birds that were out on the track are bigger than most of what’s in the pen some even starting to colour up, so while none of this is ideal, I’3 points

Okie dokie so Main rig set up. The rifle is a standard AR-15 noting really fancy. The lower is a FMK polymer lower. Have had it for 8 years now and it's been holding up just fine. I did have a spring kit in it to drop the trigger weight down from a mil spec 5.12lbs to 3.2lbs but due to the lighter hammer spring it would soft punch and not ignite the primers in this steel cased Russian ammo. So had to put the old one back in which isn't great for accuracy. Stander pistol grip I for got the stock but it's and after market. The upper is a Bear Creek Arsenal 18" rifle profile flat3 points

So the birds are in, finally, and they look good, the lad who dropped them off said they are 6 weeks, so if this is true then he knew we weren’t getting them on the date he first said, ether way they are in now and we’ll just have to make the best of it, I hung around for a few hours on the lookout for a fox, I didn’t see any, I can never work out if that’s a good thing or not, I did see quite a few deer of both flavours, it’s about time the rules were changed to allow shooting with NV and thermal because I could clearly identify each animal through both devices, there was also a few pigs abou3 points

I do run rough ground in the main mate but unbelievably both dog's suffered their breaks on ground far from rough, you couldn't make it up because some of the ground I work them on is bordering on suicidal then when you think it'll be a relatively easy & a safe day's hunting the worst case scenarios happen..you just never know the minute mate,a guy told me over 40 year's ago that every slip you give the dog can be it's last & he ain't wrong I do know that much ?3 points

Yeah I agree matey,in the dead of winter when the dog's are hard at it,the weather is harsh I think the High Maintenance food is top class, yes it's 32% Protein & 20% fat I think but the dog's hold their condition well, they recover from their exertions quickly & the dog's love it..I think it's very good for the money & it's made entirely in the UK which is better still ?..the Racer is cracking scran too,I must admit I do like the Alpha range of dog food ?2 points

I think it would take all night to type what's changed in the uk mate.and that wouldn't even be enough. 1200 arrive by boat in a single day and nothing at all to stop it..its actually being encouraged. A brand new iPhone..a nice warm bed in a hotel..3 meals a day..and a few bob pocket money a week.. Maybe the famous British bulldog spirit has..merely got old and tired.. To the point of standing by while 1000's of white girls are the victims of grooming gangs..raped..girls destroyed for life.. And the white man rocks up on a Friday and hands over his hard earned for the2 points

What ever there is to find sexy/funny/entertaining about them fat trollops shaking their disgusting nasty flabby arses around is totally beyond my understanding of human attraction....blacks you wouldnt expect anything else but its always the parents i feel sorry for when you see these trampy white birds doing it.....we are just not the same.2 points

A true story. My mate had a stable and paddock on a country lane, the only other building was next door, a very nice, old, stone built cottage owned by an eminent surgeon. My mate applied for planning permission to build a cottage on the paddock that would be completely in keeping with the other cottage. He was told the land was green belt and a wild life corridor and planning was objected to by the surgeon and was therefore refused. Some time later my mate had an offer to buy his land, by a developer, that was simply to good to refuse, so he sold. Almost immediately b2 points
