Cooling down nicely here, watching thus years Jacob lambs smash up the chicken pen while I smash two cheeseburgers, they are doused in the obligatory carolina reaper hot sauce, if I'm peckish after she's knocked up a quiche too.7 points

I had a call from my mate earlier asking if I’d shoot a few game cover munchers, he then told me that he’d just cut a big field of feed barley so I thought sod it im taking the .243, when I got there he had cut most of the field only not the 30 odd meters down to the stream at the bottom of the field, where I wanted to be for a call, he always does this to me, I did see 2 cubs over the other side of the stream in the long grass, on next doors land but it wasn’t worth risking a shot as I had no way of recovering them. As I checked the other strip of cover towards the wood I seen a deer in the w4 points

Never will I understand some dogs. Been 100 degrees ( 37 f) with 100% humidity here every day for the last two months. Figured I'd be nice and let all the dogs in the house and let them cool off during the heat of the day and soak up the A/C while I sleep and let them out when I leave for work at night. Well two of them will come in look around then start scraping at the door to be let out within ten minutes. Figured my collie mix would really appreciate it since she's covered in fur but nope. Ten minutes and her and the other outside dog are out the door. My chawinnie and fiest are both hous3 points

Anyone elese happen to do stuff on the side as a little business? Personally I weld Various things like these rod holders , snare supports, trapping drags ,various gardening things ect.and sell them over Facebook and the like. More money in building stuff like bull gates and the like but those are kinda in frequent. Also pick up and resale brass or shit shell hulls from the local range to other reloaders in various forums. Can make some decent pocket money when the richer folks come around and blow 100rd of norma or Lapua and just leave the brass in the dirt ? got two five gal3 points

Yeah, we haven't seen him for over two years because of the Covid restrictions, they were much tougher in Saudi. We have a lot of things planned, but the first thing was to get him the "Saudi themed" Newcastle strip and a football, they are "soccer" mad over there. He also like Lamborghini's, and there's a place in Sunderland where he can be a passenger in one and a racing driver does a few laps of the circuit. It looks like a busy time ahead ! Cheers.3 points

If I ever pack in the hunting and my dogs go,I'd like a pit,a bitch game bred, from battle bred parents, their way steadier and less chance of turning nasty on folk, once you know how to bring them on,they make super companion dogs and very intelligent3 points

? I’m glad I’m not the only one struggling with with foxes at the minute, I missed another one the other night, so I need to check the .223, in my defence it was a quite a long way off ? ( I know, excuses) We need to get ourselves sorted out, these are meant to be the easy ones ?2 points

I expect in light of his northern locale it will be some northern derivative of Ale that would be traditionally quaffed from Toby jugs whilst wearing flat caps and hobnailed boots surrounded by whippets..?2 points

My grandson from Saudi arrived yesterday and he's asked for "chips" (crisps), and "candy" (chocolate). He obviously gets those words from the American curriculum at the International School he attends. Ive got a month to correct his vocabulary, but he's a quick learner ?? Cheers.2 points

The topic was about the world population explosion, and a few here correctly said that White Europeans are not the blame. You smashed in like the A team with your normal “Don’t matter colour of your skin no matter what the racists say blah blah blah” ……..well actually, in this scenario it does matter……because Europeans ain’t having kids, it’s your pals in Asia and Africa having them all. So when it comes to population control, it’s Asian and Africans who should stop having kids…..we as Europeans are already doing our bit and committing genetic and ethnic suicide. So no, it’s no2 points

This terrier was a more than a competent ferreting dog. Not a job he was bred or really trained for but just took to everything. Particularly useful in places where rabbits were thin on the ground, or rather the easy ones had long since been hunted out. If you can't find them you cant catch them. Would dearly loved to have put him over a whippet but never got around to it. Carried on grafting until the age of 12, above ground anyway, and even then wasn't showing signs of slowing down much until the big C got him. A very happy 12 years.2 points
