First '22 cub this morning. Mowed some silage yesterday so thought I'd have a look early on. Couple hours calling but nothing. Start my work day, gaffer rings just after 7 asking if I've got gun on me, just seen one in little paddock we keep few odd sod sheep in. I got there quick, it was still sat by water trough. I was on bipod, only 50yds away but grass long & no backstop so gave quiet lip squeak. Jesus, came rushing in like a collie! 32grs dropped it at about 15yds ?? Dog.

next season. what it is, I haven't lamped for nearly 30 years. I will be running this young whippet next season. nothing serious, just a few nights a month, only out couple of hours max. just want something that will do the job without breaking the bank. any suggestions welcome.......... could be a dangerous combination, Old fart and a whippet.

Just bought a new hw99. Its been to Shauny for his glided tune and its for open sights. I'm very pleased with the Shauny tune to say the least and its very smooth and seems spot on.

No shortage of things to do. Loads fishing to be done bait collecting. Been given access to a pond so want to start feeding that for ducks. Picking up couple kits next weekend. New pup coming in couple months. Loads of shooting to be done on pigeons. List goes on. Down side is this work lark lol really whacks a big hole your time. So much I would rather be doing

Take the dry food away and if you got to feed it mix it in with raw once a day . Get the youngster out across the fields and let chase few bunny's ,every walk in the fields is a learning day for pups and they soon start usen there nose and finding stuff that's fun to run and most young dogs self enter or at least mine have . But what sort of dry food? If it's cheap shite then it won't be worth the bag it comes in. You only get out what you put in. And also, I don't think that having food on tap is helping a dog's appetite at all. They tend to pick at it, feel constantly full so don't really guzzle down their food as a dog is designed to do. Dogs' stomachs are designed to eat fast until full, then not eat again for several hours, even pups over 8 weeks of age. BTW, its feet look great.

I’ve never had a saluki pup with puppy fat on them. And I’ve found Salukis feet are longer and not as tight as other lurchers.. they probably have the best feet of all too.. but with regards to the actual question asked; I take mine out from a very early age. Bushing, mouching about, etc.. I would intentionally lamp a rabbit until about 11/12 months old, but I would have expected them to have seen and chased plenty of rabbit just much about in the day time,
