Can't believe can you how things have changed we used to roam the streets, fields and quarries in gangs with air guns when we was kids. All becoming a nonsense. Cheers Arry10 points

Our kid has 3 in his work shop that will be ready soon. New glass, grills, baffle plates and rope seals. All repainted Again apologies to mods if not acceptable. I'm not trying to advertise as he can sell em ten times over at the minute. I just know the type of things you boys are into and everyone likes a bargain. Would need pick up from Lancashire though9 points

Let me simplify things, IT blokes, department (and their kin) drive you f***ing mad ! Lol Everything is “in a minute”, “Later”, “tomorrow”, “let’s stop for a coffee and a chat about last nights episode of The Big Bang theory” ……..soppy load of c**ts, ain’t got a bit of go or hurry up in them ! Sat in their messy little hovels of offices surrounded by 15 years worth of old computer parts pretending to be busy and “skilled” ! Liability's, should all be burnt alive ! Lol5 points

When their chasing big yokes,it's in the hands of the gods ,it doesn't always go to plan, but I never stuck to just big rabbits either,I did hills and woodlands and rock strewn areas,if it gets up its game on was my motto lol5 points

I like both the Beardy and the Border Collie lurcher types? These dogs (in their pure form) are incredibly similar, and it is only their preferred style of herding, that makes them seem different.. The inherent traits of the Border Creeper, and the noisy Huntaway Beardy, are all that separates these two. Obviously,.. many contemporary lurcher enthusiasts have strong opinions,.. mostly formed, via their experiences owning various examples, of the Black Country Sting...? In reality, such opinions are fairly biased, in as much as,.. other than the Greyhound side of this algebrai5 points

I'd say the annual hare shoots might be an effective and efficient way of controlling hare numbers on a commercial shoot, and brings a small income, I hear the Italians like to come over for the hare days, but when the natives cannot legally go out for a bit of coursing it's a sorry state, also for the sighthound clubs etc, it hasn't done good in any way, just look at Altcar4 points

I have always let them play and chase each other and socialising with other dogs from being able to first go out I can't remember any serious injuries yes the odd banging in to each other .it's surprising how resilient pups are though .pups that are allowed to run and work out things for themselves obstacles ect seem to be less injury prone later and make better dogs than a point and slip that's never had the same freedom .and I would think a pup that runs free learns manners quicker and picks up things quicker like scents ect because it's allowed to you can reinforce recall as many times as3 points

I think Reece Mogg let the cat out the bag when he said it will be achieved by natural wastage, retirements, etc, not redundancies. Its just another distraction that won't ever happen, just like sending illegal immigrants to Rwanda. Cheers.3 points

That probably happened because it was molly coddled to much had no sense about it, the best way to get a dog in shape without work is to let them free run with another dog chasing each other around mock coursing, does young dogs the world of good plenty of exercise opening there lungs up, go for a walk for an hour leave them play about have mad bursts learn how to twist and turn3 points

There are so many variables its difficult to make a judgment. I have owned and worked brilliant 1st cross collie greyhounds, bred from the right stock, I have seen and owned others that were rubbish in comparison. Every Beardy first cross I've seen baring one including my own were very headstrong and in the wrong way, one exception that was a great worker. 3/4 cross greyhound collie from borders I had and seen others brilliant on rabbits, fox etc on seriously rough ground, yet others were like pure greyhound in almost every way. Beardy never saw a great one, only ok at best.3 points

I’ve had pure border collies, collie greyhounds half cross, beardie x border greyhound. All the pure border collies lamped and ferreted well. However if you work land that is thin with game some border collies don’t have the drive to find a scent and would be happy just treating it as a casual stick finding walk.....some border collies do have the hunting up drive though. The beardie border x greyhound....lamped and worked with ferrets well. However he lived to hunt regardless of there been little scent, he was always search, nose down head up. He ventured further than my border coll3 points

Generally, innovators aren't driven by power or money or fame, they enjoy problem solving and creating stuff that no one else has, they're intrinsically motivated. I don't believe that someone who's extrinsically motivated by such things as cash could effectively innovate in the tech world. That's important for managers to understand too. If you are a successful businessman who finds himself in need of tech innovators, it's easy to fall into the trap that the specialists you want are motivated by the same things that people in the commercial domain are motivated by.3 points

I just checked, in 2019 at the age of 16 she gave a talk at IBM in New York on (and I shit you not) "Gene editing to existing biofuel technology" she was mentored at The Knowledge Society and Moonshot, and I was wrong, she isnt studying AI, she is studying Nanotechnology.3 points

Thanks lads Apologies for the late replies. I have filled two slots so far , first was a pre-owned Remington 700 VSSF .223 with T8 over barrel mod and then a new CZ457 synthetic.22 LR + Atech wave mod and really pleased with them both ?. I shall get some photos done later. VM fortunately I only have to fork out for the rifles, mods and ammo as I already have everything else. I would imagine the .22 air would be the most expensive slot to fill as I was looking at something from the FX range, however I already have a sub 12 FX Dreampup in .22 calibre which I’m seriously co3 points

Bought an airgun with my first wage at 16. Walked through the town to the canal with the gun over my shoulder to try. Then got on the bus to my girlfriends, no one batted an eyelid then walked home with it later ??3 points
