  3. I was keen to get out to get me a rabbit or two this afternoon. I used my .45 and loaded five .36 balls in it to be legal. I missed #1 rabbit but got #2. 30yd shot. can you see the ball in the hawthorn? Here is a close up. Number three was right on dark. Another 30yd shot. When it stuck its neck out I made a perfect neck shot. Turned out to be a grand afternoon, saw no one, the rough weather got them all confined to barracks, just how I like it ?

  4. Seeing as there was a break in the weather last night I decided to pop out to a smallholding where the guy keeps a few hens , I havent been since Covid erupted so a good 2 years. The weather was very still and light and proved unfruitful with nothing seen. With the night still young I then went to a nearby farm. Got set up in my favourite field and started playing various calls with no joy , after about half an hour I switched to chicken in distress and had a fox appear immediately. The fox dropped over a banking out of sight but reappeared directly in front of me at 120 yds. A nice vixen wh

As if the fight wasnt hyped enough before it its even worse after !.....ok i get it this Shalom mush is a new kid on the block and wants eyes on his promotions but come on dont take people for idiots....." iconic "...." classic "...f**k off i had to turn that off after 2 minutes. Yes it was an entertaining fight but quality wise it was awful....i suppose really it was exactly what most of us thought it would be,2 over the hill fighters Brook being the least washed up of the 2....boxing is starting to cross a line for me,when i hear a lad like Eubank Jnr saying he wants to fight Kell Brook

  12. Thing about Fury though is he has normalised the F and C words in press conferences. That lowering of standards has spread. Brook was on about Khan "wanking" in his pre fight press conference. It's out of order. As for Fury's dad, some of the dirt that comes out of his rent- a -gob mouth is disgusting.

  16. I stopped over at mums and seeing some nostalgia posts appearing in the forum thought I'd take a few pics of photos she has of collie lurchers I had in late 70s and 80s. I am indebted to her for helping me out on those occasions when work or landlords meant I couldn't keep dogs from time to time. She had a soft spot for lurchers and always had a rescue or 2 as well. I still have a first cross collie and they rate each other. He remembers where she stashes old dog toys and leads her on a tour of the house to collect them up each visit. Sadly at 91 and with Alzheimer's she can no longer hav

  17. A trip up to the shoot this afternoon for a quick feed and a leg stretch, when I got on the top I was greeted by 3” of snow, after a quick blast around on the bike with a bit of wheat for the birds and a few carrots for the deer I put the bike away, grabbed the .17 and went for a walk, shooting a couple of rabbits on the way, I had the whole place to myself which was lovely. Walking around the piggeries I came across 5 deer in different places, 3 of them were shootable so that was good to see, just as I was losing the light and heading towards the field at the back of the farm I looked along t

  19. That's lovely to see, they can bring so much comfort to people, DC off of here sorted me a pup for my mum, she lost my father last year and this little creature has transformed her life, giving her a project and most importantly companionship. Also a puppy/dog promotes social interaction and exercise, I couldn't have envisaged how important it has been.

  23. It only seems to be like that in Britain though.....look at boxing in America or Mexico and its still all about fighting your way through the rankings.......maybe they are the times we are in as Brits where true honest competition is almost frowned upon in favour of a good drama.......a fighter like Eubank Jnr piping up with i want to fight Kell Brook because we have " beef "....grow up you daft c**t go and knock his door if you want a tear up..

  25. Fury doesn't help either. He's brought the sport into disrepute with his mouthing. I reckon there is more talking video footage of Fury than there is fighting footage.

  26. Khan looked spent, timing gone, speed not there and he's always been vulnerable...brave performance though as he was hurt in every round, love him or hate him he's been in some big fights and never dodged anyone (eventually!! Lol)... Great stuff from Brook, planted his feet and threw to hurt, he knew he had the power and backed himself... Like Froch and Nelson said at the end for me he should retire on that high, anything now will never compete, a fight with Eubank Jnr means nothing in comparison... Glad the phone 4g lasted, enjoyed the fight tbh

  34. My father in law was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia 4/5 year back now and he's not good now but I often take the dogs round to see him and get him out for a short walk with us. It's a horrible disease I wouldn't wish on anyone. Good luck to you and your mum ? some I like the old pic of the dog ?
