  2. Me and Bert popped out for a couple of hours this morning to try and bag my first pheasant. It was still too warm at 20c but Bert hunted and flushed a cock pheasant which was a left to right crosser which I folded nicely. Then I hunted a rough field and bagged a hen followed shortly afterwards by a flush of 3 hens managing to take a right and left Bert flushed another lovely cock pheasant but this one was missed , so 4 out of 5 and away home. Far too warm for the dog still.

  3. Aup folks, first post thought I’d introduce me and me pup…. my old man was a Lurcher man he passed away couple years ago and never got to teach me the ways of bringing a Lurcher pup on, I’ve got a good bushing terrier already….so I’ve been using the search bar on here to self teach along with them Dave Sleight videos on YouTube, thought I’d show my pup he’s 9 months now had him since he was 8 weeks old, I’ve been doing some lamp training with him at night, I don’t think he’s too far off having a go but not gonna start him yet. Although I can’t wait for that first rabbit. He’s keen as

  8. Y'all first off I gotta say, didn't think we had these buttons down here but guess we do. So I stop at the local dollar store to get some batteries for my chronograph on my way to the range right. I'm wearing my ear buds kinda in my own world but when I get to the door I notice a younger lady walking up. Having been raised with some manners what do I do ?Hold the door open for the lady, it's the polite southern thing to do. Well on flipping though YouTube looking for the next Sabton song I wanna listen to ( yeah I know didn't think I could get any whiter did ya ) and I notice she hasn't

  9. I’ve just been to the farm to bag some wheat up, when I’d finished I pulled into the yard from the back shed where the farmer was stood talking to another farmer, not unusual you might think the other farmer had just got out of a brand new Lamborghini Urus, about 180k worth of car, in a ripped shirt and a pair of wellies and who said there’s no money in farming, I suppose it’s better than giving it to the tax man

I’ve been making dandelion cream for a while which I rub on my joints but as a side effect it it very good for the skin and I have one mate that is using it on his psoriasis and recons it’s the best it’s been in years after using all the modern creams and my wife had a patch of excema on here back that has cleared up after using it so if you can be arsed it’s dead easy to make and does seem to work

New start with a little youngster after being many years without a lurcher after some real bad luck and being young and dumb at the time listening to others shit and following them I've sourced a cracking pup from some good parents doing all the work im looking for, breeder owns and works both parents and grandparents in the past picking him up this evening a few pics here from when he was 4 weeks plus. a nice fresh start just me and the dogs and hopefully plenty of sport in the future Sire-Beddy Greyhound x Beddy Whippet. Dam- Bull collie greyhound name to be decided

  13. True mate. Do you know what, it’s f***ing horrible really when you work with kids too because of what these dirty fuckers have done. Dont get me wrong, the child protection is good and making sure there is always a second adult present is brilliant for protecting both the kids and yourself but it’s shit thinking “Can I pick that kid up if they hurt themselves or give them a Pat on the back if they do well” We are all victims of these f***ing arseholes, they stole everyone’s innocence in that regard.

  14. I have no skin in this game btw. Been rumbling on for years. Lawyers jumped on it now and going after the football club for compensation. Bottom line for me is that football clubs don’t rape kids.., it’s people that do that. ‘Fining’ or awarding damages from a club for the deeds of people who worked there 4 decades ago just takes money out of the pockets of the supporters who fill the stands now, investors, the staff who work there etc. Those people have done nothing wrong, so why should they be made to pay? It doesn’t hurt the perpetrator so in my book isn’t justice for anyone, and simply cre

  17. Don’t forget your spade kid. And first few places you try the hobs might just start rubbing them selves about the holes an digging an chattering, will prob get excited when you try pick them up so don’t try grab them when they in the holes still as they will fcuk off down hole an make a game of it an it will end up a bad habit, take your time picking them up, an try you’re hardest to find somewhere with a good chance of rabbits being at home as it will switch your hobs on quicker. Enjoy yourself pal, still a lot of cover about just now but get out there an learn as it’s by far the best way

  22. I think most novice lurcher men learn more off their first dog than a hundred books . We learn from mistakes. Well we should do . My first was a collie, grey x whippet. Caught some gear . But missed loads down to my inexperience. My advice is wait until something catches you eye , rear it like any of your other dogs but implementing field work training. Maybe get someone local to oblige a day or 2 out . Point you in right direction. Off you go . Best a luck

I just cant muster up any enthusiasm for this Fury/Wilder thing its got to be the most meaningless heavyweight title fight in years i cant see any reason not to think it wont be the same outcome as before and then what....a fourth fight ffs !! Off up to watch the Cheesey kid in a minute i fancy him for a late stoppage....Fowler to beat Smith on the same card, then a pleasant day tomorrow in one of my favourite cities and wont come home having dropped points to the Scousers for a change

  24. They do in Scotland, something happens to the deer if they cross the border! The problem is moronic experts, snobs and committee types having their say in the law making. When I look back to my stalking days I can think of scores of roe that would of fallen to a 357 or 44. Even ball from a muzzleloader. Idiots.....

  26. Yea the hardest part of starting a young ferret is if you don't have a dog to mark. Constantly putting a ferret down empty holes at least a young one they just start messing. So do your best to find holes with some thing in assuming you don't have dog. Good luck and enjoy. Another thing that will happen if you don't have a dog after putting the ferret down numerous empty holes you will get sloppy with the nets or not even bother and that will be the time there is some thing at home lol

  33. Few of the lads I used to knock about with mooching and hunting are all mad keen on the metal detecting...highly addictive as they don't keep dogs or bops no more We have loads of old bunkers, pill boxes etc close to us,then there's the tin and coal mining so always somewhere to have a dig and find something interesting...cleared a house few months back and was offered a few different detectors and them little hand probes but declined as I could tell they ment something to the old dear being her late husband's

  34. That sound more like psoriasis than eczema, I suffer from it on my hands and feet, it’s an immune system problem, sometimes it will just come on, but normally when something affects my immune system, for example when I had the vaccine my psoriasis went mental to the point it was all over my body, if she’s just had a baby this will of affected her immune system and could of triggered it off, there’s no cure for it, just management, she’d be best off going to the doctors for a steroid cream, something like Betnovate, everything you buy in the chemist is just a moisturiser

  35. A few year ago there seemed to be a craze going of importing ‘hard as nails’ jagd terriers going on here in Ireland on fb and on here ,some of them selling for massive money. Them same jagd terriers are nowhere to be seen now and any serious digging men are still using the same old black dogs that they have always been digging too. Tells you a lot really. Lads will keep whatever works the best and that’s the black dogs. For me a terriers job is for earthwork nothing else.
