There's a pair of peregrines living in the quarry.they raised 2 young this year.been watching them learn to fly and start catching pigeons the last few months.seen many strikes but the pigeon sometimes flys off leaving a load of feathers floating down..often see just a pile of feathers every few days. But they caught 1 today right by the side of the road..First pic he's just below the puddle.second pic zoomed in...after stripping feather and eating a bit and after a struggle to take off about 6 times he managed to carry it up the rock face..12 points

Mate, they're just not comparable. You're right, we're on different planets with how we see this. You seem to think age makes someone untouchable, I certainly don't. If an old boy decided he was going to be a monumental c**t to me because he hates hunting and decides he's going to sit in front of my drive everyday all day then what am I supposed to do exactly? He's untouchable remember. So I'll have to walk 18 miles to and from work, maybe sell up and move house? He'd get 10 minutes of reasoned discussion before he'd had his quota of my 'respect for the elderly'. There's limits to that respect10 points

It's not their cause I disagree with, in fact I agree with it ! I don't want people in this country living in cold, draughty, damp houses, having to choose between heating or eating ! Its their method of protest I disagree with, it's turning people against them, and the government will go with the people. If they were gluing themselves to ministers cars of chaining themselves to Downing Street railings, I'd applaud them ! There are government schemes to insulate houses, to replace old boilers, fit thermostatic valves etc. Why don't these people open offices to give ad8 points

To be fair, I didn't see anyone in that clip being roughed up or battered. How they were moved out of the road wasn't very graceful but, when a fully grown adult decides to go floppy like a 2yr old having a tantrum in a supermarket, all you can do is drag them. There was plenty of harsh words but, frustration is to be expected - especially with the way that old boy kept slithering back into the road after he'd been moved and, the way that woman kept dumping herself down in front of traffic that was about to pull away. In my opinion, these people are a pain8 points

No chance of anyone going to feed in this weather today so off I went, I got there around 8:30 and with the weather the way it was the birds were still close to the pens, they have taken to the wheat, preferring to feed from the ground rather than the feeders, this is what I like as they hang around a lot longer scratting about for bits of wheat, once I’d done the two pens I had a ride through the main drives, the birds are spreading out a little further which they need to do now to fill out some of the other drives, like “ Oakwood” and “ Roadside”, we’ve also got a bunch of next doors partrid7 points

I think that if you turn up to these protests, and stop people going about there legitimate business then like the extinction rebellion guy that was dragged off the train roof and given a kicking , you are inviting this type of outrage . Being stuck in traffic is very stressful. It brings out the worst side of our characters . If you think you are too old and frail to be manhandled then stay the hell away . Otherwise “ reap what you sow”.6 points

You are conflating being a bullying Cnut with rightly moving some fukcer that’s in your way and stopping you going about your daily business . As born said if they were sat on your driveway stopping you leaving the house would you say ah ok and just go back indoors or would you move them so you could live your life ?6 points

Yes and my opinion remains unchanged there are so many problems with the gsd now that `I really cant understand you flirting with the idea of inporting those faults into such thoughtfully bred dogs. It seems to me that more thought and care is taken over Lurcher breeding than any pedigree dog. Your breeding is based on the dogs performance and physical soundness. The german shepherd now is bred by show people for winning silverware and good looking pups for Joe public who knows no better. Once these faults are in they are there to be passed on. Christ , a policeman being a sexual deviant , dishonest, reprobate. Who’d of thunk it ? I live near Gloucester, remember Fred West ? Well when they went through all his filthy videos of his Mrs Rose , there were a lot of police who visited 25,Cromwell street. Of course it was covered up , but people talk and it’s common knowledge around here . My old man was a policeman for 20 plus years and a more cynical, untrusting, hard nosed bloke you would never come across . The job does this to them . The London Ambulance Service has asked these people, publicly and officially, to stop delaying the emergency services, as someone is going to die. Insulate Britain has replied saying they are profoundly sorry for the inconvenience caused but they believe in the bigger picture, and will continue with the road blockages. so, basically, they are saying insulating your loft is more important than the fire and ambulance services getting to an emergency, more important than you wife, child, mother dying in the back of an ambulance that can't get through to a hospital. Well, I profound4 points

If they think they have the right to sit in front of traffic and hold it up. I think I have the right to move the twats out of the way, Who's right? Cheers Arry4 points

Interesting little twist, the lovely Priti Patel is bringing in new tougher laws to sort this outrage out, yet in two years of addressing the migrant crisis it’s just got worse and worse, funny how you can get stuff done to appease public opinion yet something as big as the migrant crisis is brushed aside and not talked about, I would rather have a few crusty hippies sat on the road to be fair than 1.5 million sand niggers washing up on the shores every year ????4 points

Just seen the interview with Roger Hallam, the founder and leader of these arseholes. He was asked if they would keep on blocking ambulances...he said yes, they would. The interviewer then asked " even if it meant people dying ?"....again, he said yes they would. Its in tomorrow's papers. Why isn't the government acting ? Some of these people have been arrested up to EIGHT times but not charged once ! If someone does die because of their actions, I'd want them charged with at least manslaughter, but of course that won't happen. Cheers.4 points

Yeah.. it’s a strange old world! I had a Brittany spaniel who use to play with a badger and a free roaming rabbit that I use to lock in on a night that once pulled a random Yorkshire terrier, I had to evict it out of its hutch cos it thought it was stopping the night?4 points

If you've not owned a lurcher then you're a novice, better to accept it now lol. I've owned two lurchers , over ten years and class myself as a amateur /novice. I've grown up with dogs and been around them all my life. You might land lucky and get something that's got the right temperament to suit you, or pick the right pup, or have a pup with enough prey drive, or pick something that's hanging off the back of a horse at 10 months old, there's not much point in saying five breeds and hoping it has a pinch of all the good attributes and none of the bad you might have six in the mix it looks lik3 points

Seems everyone except Wilf agrees these folks shouldn't be causing the grief that they are...if he was still in London, sat stuck in a tailback , on his way, unable to see his old duck, because of these morons..there's a time and place for this..I honestly believe he would be singing a different song,I'm all for manners and looking after our old folks, but surely when there's everyday folks pleading for them to move and they tell you ,go get f****d,it will upset folks...I know personally I would have to get out and move a few myself, regardless of race, age, size or consequences...same way I would3 points

I wholeheartedly agree with Wilf that bullying the elderly is taking a liberty and disgusting behaviour that no one with even a modicum of sense would condone,i also agree giving stick to a pensioner over a bit of bad driving is behaviour many people would think get over it you div,and would intervene if bods started putting themselves about over it But this isnt even remotely similar to any of those cases, not even in the slightest, which is why normal every day working and law abiding people who just live their lives are largely congratulating these idiots being removed instead of lambas3 points

Mate, you make it sound like folks decide what conflicts they are going to get into for the day over their breakfast! What part of normal folks not wanting conflict in their lives don't you get? I don't expect any of those people had ever been faced with BLM or any other sort of nonsense before and even if they had can you blame them for not acting? An ambulance needed to get through so they acted and you think they're a bunch of pricks because they didn't leather a load of blacks. Galaxies apart mate.3 points

Bottom line is,how thick and shot to complete pieces have you got to be to think the way they are carrying on is going to get them support or more people to potentially sidle up to them and help their cause The geezer who said get out of the road you silly c**t and when asked "do you have any sympathy for the protesters?" And answered "no i f****n aint ive got a business to run and kids to feed" sums up the majority of peoples thoughts They are trying to get the govt to make a statement on it all,and the appropriate changes, but they look to be doing f**k all anytime soon so again,t3 points

Mate, if that was my mum needing her appointment. I'd batter the fuuck out of them with a wheel brace, no matter the age and then let them fuucking wait for the ambulance to reach them, through the bullshit they caused! Let them feel what they are causing for once. There were paramedics joining in, moving the cnuts for Christ's sake. WILF, you can't seriously be agreeing with their actions? The right to protest, absolute. The right to kill people, ruin lives... nah mate, just nah! If that were Joes doing it, for love in some fuucked up foreign country, you be up for leathering them and yo3 points
