  3. Me and the Mr's went for a afternoon drink last Saturday for the first time in ages, we went to a place we often frequent, they asked us if we had the app , no, then asked us to leave our details and to sit outside ,we declined and went to the pub in the next village and it was the total opposite like normal so we had lunch and a good drink with them...its that simple ?

  5. The girls both got shining reports so their nan got them a little kit each to observe sealife. No school tomorrow so we drove 5 mins up the road onto the tamar armed with a few dropnets and some scabby mackerel. Its abit more urban than I'd have liked but we managed prawns, pollock, goby, crabs, welks and the celebration pic is because O had a hermit crab in her net. I obviously cast a line out and quickly remembered why I don't fish the shithole; I caught a wet wipe and a line snag.

  6. Ok, so I’m not usually one for putting stuff in this section. But it’s just spinning around my head and would be interested on folks thoughts. So first off I’ll say, I’ve not had any Covid jabs. Not initially for any political reason, just because I was busy and lambing when they offered it to me, and I didn’t get to it. But now, the more I hear, the more highly questionable is sounds. I won’t be able to travel without a jab, I won’t be able to go to a festival or a night club .....why? Just heard that by me getting a jab it could save a vulnerable persons life

  7. I honestly don’t care mate. I’m not getting into it with them. SC asked a fair question and presented his understanding and I’ve offered mine if it helps. I could quite happily have let half a million people die on ventilators if I’m perfectly honest. Most folk wouldn’t though and vaccination is realistically the best strategy to avoid that so I’m on board.

  11. After a chat with Newkid earlier, I realised I needed a bit of me time... so I downed tools, packed my rucky and pissed off to the hills. (I just received a msg from the mrs asking if I'm coming home lol) So, led in my hammock, had a nap (woke up not 30 mins ago). Went for a shit...... crouched down in the most undignified and vulnerable position known to man, I turn the head torch on... there's only a set of eyes about 15yards from me, staring at me ? Before you ask, no idea. They were small, beady and watching me take a shit in the pitch black ? Bron was no more than 20yards away. I said

  12. It's not dog shelters that hang them, it's owners. The Spanish are cruel fuckers, ; every season they get rid of the culls, but some owners just hang them, drown them or simply throw them out on the street. Why not just shoot them ? Ive said this before, and had some stick from some people, but loading a donkey until it collapses, just for fun, or throwing a goat out of a tower in a religious ceremony, or torturing a bull until it's so weakened and maddened by pain that a ponce in a fancy suit can kill it isn't my idea of sport. I like the Spanish coursing, and wish we still had it,

  13. I didnt go anywhere near people if could help it before all this, I have no intention of starting now! It would be nice if the masses buggered off back to town though, all my nice out the way spots I've been going years are wrecked by the influx of people wanting to discover the countryside. With any luck now primark and pubs are back open it will calm down a bit.

  16. Money (and more importantly tax revenue) talks…..just don’t frequent places that require it…..when enough revenue is lost in the way of income tax, corporation tax and rates then it will all stop. Ultimately, on this one, people can and will decide.

  17. Galgos are the type of dog to walk around the estate in their mum's bright red high heels? All, and working, not so much show! They have a rough life over here imo. A lot of what goes on doesn't sit well with me.

  22. They are flat and fast for the first 100, I will put the crosshairs smack on a rabbit between 60 and 120 yards ( I use them for pest control so perfect head shots are not what im going for ) above 120 to about 160 I’ll rest the crosshairs along the top of what I’m shooting at ( there’s about 3” drop using 17gn rounds at 150 ) above that I start using the mil and guessing a bit, they say there’s no drop up to 100 but once you pass 100 they drop off quickly, once you get about 200 you will probably get about 8” of drop

  25. Yeah I getcha just wondering as most Greys I’ve seen have been absolute demons on fox I definitely think out of all the pure breeds of running dog Greyhounds are the best fox dogs

  26. They are sensitive but biddable and trainable, I find them easy to live with, I'd put them somewhere between a greyhound and a saluki temperament wise. They have high prey drive and will run themselves to a standstill and in the case of one of mine literally throw themselves off a cliff in pursuit. Coursing bred from some very good lines, no show blood. No many rough coats about these days which is a shame, other than show stuff, but there are still a few broken coated about and they are stunners, i would love to import one but the lines i prefer seem to throw smooths.

  31. If I was going up then I would be setting off early doors. I stay away from Snowdon. Too many people. I don’t like taking the dogs up there because of having to give way to people. There’s much better and quieter areas up there that I prefer. I’m heading to the area on Sunday for a week but will just be staying away from the crowds. Best option with Snowdon is to go up last light. Wild camp at the top and head back down first light. ?
