  1. Drove to the emerald coast in Florida to do a little shark fishing.Bought some red snapper heads at fish market today. After dark we kayaked baits a few hundred yards out.I immediately had a screaming run that broke my line.I spent twenty minutes building a new rig.Kayaked the bait back out.5 minutes after making it back to land I had another screaming run. This time I let the shark run for a few hundred yards before setting the hook.It was a thirty minute battle but landed this six footer.Im pretty sure it's a bull shark. Its now 1230 a.m. my arms are cramping but I'm ready to drop another bait

  5. This pup I have has been out with me from the start, we’ve had some cracking nights on the phezzies , the more you get among the pheasants the better your pup will be. How old is your pup ?.

  6. Let's be honest though even though i have seen some cracking first cross whippet greyhounds back in the day and they are an easy cross to live with and can nail rabbits in tight situations ie bobbing from cover to cover they are not the be all and end all and imho better lurchers for work on different terrains and situations can be produced by adding other breeds into the mix. They died out around my area when lads started seeing and getting other lurcher types and the versatile nature these types gave in constantly taking a variety of quarry.

  13. it's a strange one, some love feather other's don't. I would definitely encourage the pup. little dog I have now has Jaws like a gin trap with rat, rabbit, squirrel. yet feathers she hardly mouths them and tends to hold them. she's had a couple of pheasant and 10 woodpidgeons. she found her 1st pheasant nest before a year old.

  14. Ended up having to sell my house it was a fight we could not win though the position we were put in the only alternative was to stand and fight it was not a fight about more money it was a fight for communities and a way of life to some. The Thatcher year's in this country was a case of some had it good mostly the south and those that had it bad it was fekin bad due to the destruction of manufacturing and other industries.

Problem is all tarred with the same imo (I get it towards me here sometimes, what with all the twats coming here and getting smashed, causing an upset). Them smelly cnuts, touching kids can all burn in the streets lynch mob stylee for all I give a damn. But innocent people scared into silence shouldnt be punished. I sorted that one with a cup of water early on ? She's 18 and still cringes when she says it infront of me and I clock on ?...... See my self published book on child rai

  27. Hi Chris, given the county that you are intending to work in,..I would think seriously about some kind of whippet based hybrid.? I catch a few rabbits in East and West Sussex, and as you know, it is extremely heavily wooded... Such a terrain can sometimes harbour good amounts of conies,..and the facts are, when you are rabbiting in ditch bottoms, deep old hedgerows. brash, etc, there is no need for a very large jukel...As for keeping your rabbit dog as a family pet,..well, I've always liked my dogs around me , and as long as your chavies are fully aware that it is a dog, and not a t

  34. I intend to Fred. The more strings to her bow the better, well that’s the plan anyway. In the past a Lurcher dog I had didn’t mind pheasants but refused to retrieve pigeon because of the loose feathers. Just ended up standing over them with a gob full of feathers lol. That was when I used to shoot though. See how she goes but I do like roast pheasant for Sunday dinner?

  42. Lol similar again, I'm regularly reminding him 'we'll have f**k all americanism shit in this house'. Again similar, I also tell him things like 'see her over there, lettuce licker', see him over there, arse bandit, he's like 'dad, you can't say that! Whilst he giggles slyly lol. I say 'why not, that's what they are'?! 'Just don't turn out like that, and you'll be fine'. Lol.

  43. My last house was built, I reckon, within a few yards of where my first ever lurcher caught her first hare. The house I live in now built on land I played on, hunted, nested, and was chased off of quite a few times as a boy in halcyon days. Funny thing is there are a few mature trees, old hawthorn hedges, and burn courses left, all hidden amongst the housing to remind me. Kind of makes it even sadder. And when I tell my kids “when I was your age, this was all just fields” I hear my late dad’s voice in my head, and realise the sadness he had in his heart when he told me the same about his old s

He has caught a lot of rabbits for me ,always gives 110% so im happy with Jett who didn't have the best start in life when he found himself in the dog pound after he bolted due to a beating from his so called owner.A friend of mine had bred him and when the one i had died with provo he suggested to give this dog ago. Glad I did, both the dog & I are very pleased ,I enjoy the company of my dogs ,with so much time spent with them ,one has too, why not it all rocks my boat.
