Yesterday i took my eleven year old grandson to the clay ground with his 28g auto because he hasn't been able to get much shooting done due to covid. On Sundays we always go to the game shoot to top up the feeders and clean the drinkers etc. This week we had to fill all the wheelie bins up with bags of wheat, one ton of it. Anyway he got the job of loading the quad up and bringing the bags to us waiting at the woods. He had a good day riding about on the quad. We decided we would go to the ponds at the other side of the shoot to flight ducks tonight. All these ponds are fed for wild mallard an13 points

Now we all know the economy will take a knock...but... Could there be a boom once restrictions are lifted? It all depends on the vaccine and anything could happen, but let's just say that by April the vaccine has worked and its game on, how many ordinary people will be in a bad place and how many will be in a good position ready to spend, trade, holiday and party on...? Now I can only speak from what I see and I know that some people are struggling, but how many. I visit upto 10 homes and businesses a day and most people seem to be busy. Businesses with full orders. I go to woo6 points

I work for a telecom company and also dig bait for a local tackle shop. Ive never seen either so busy; I'm dealing with double the customers I normally would and we can't dig enough worm. Won't mean alot to many but in 1 week me and the other lad dug over 100lbs of worm plus the bought in rag and it still wasn't enough.4 points

Was out the other night, we’ve had a month of it... it’s been a nightmare? thinking of taking a fishing rod with me for retrieving stuff:(4 points

I know how Noah felt now . I’m seriously thinking about constructing an ark . There has been little let up in the rain here for a while , and the ground is saturated. On Saturday I had to forego shooting a drive that I’d planned because it would be near impossible to get the guns on their pegs . Fields where you would see pheasants, now have ducks and geese , and even a couple of herons. Spinning in the morning is a nightmare, just trying to find a bit of ground that isn’t waterlogged to lay the wheat on is difficult. Then descending some of the banks in the mule has my arse nipping , put it4 points

I’m not humouring you at all mate, I know there is a war on us. I have been boring the arse off folk about it for over 40 years ! It went into overdrive when Blair was elected and with every subsequent prime minister since. The scale of “New Labour/New Conservative” re engineering of society is terrifying in its scale and it’s success. To be yet again the stuck record, everything matters ? Thats why I have little time for the cry babies who have actively done their part to help these b*****ds and gave it no thought whatsoever until the chickens came home to roost4 points

Went and checked the stink pit where I dropped a dozen squirrels yesterday and every one had gone! I left another and after a good scan around headed back to the car. On the way I heard a fox barking down wind probably about 3/4 a mile away but off me. Thinking it's a dog fox down wind from a vixen I went to the neighbouring farm which is up wind of the barking fox. A crude form of triangulation if you like. So I gets to the next farm and walks up the concrete track slowly and scanning as I go. I had seen tracks on this farm last week! On my right is pasture and on my left is4 points

Fake photographs in a way. The terriers were real and so were the rocks but not proper rock dogs working proper rock earths in the context of the thread. A local sandstone quarry that was usually part of daily exercise. Held a diverse range but rarely anything worth writing about. Was always worth trying though just in case. In the days when the lads working there would have a bit craic or regard you as an harmless idiot just walking his little dogs rather than phone the police or RSPCA.4 points

It was good to get out netting last night, the wind wasn’t perfect and this place is a nightmare to predict so it’s a case of rolling up and then making a plan of attack. It was dark with a good south westerly breeze coming up the valley so we ( Smithie and I) decided to set a 20 yrd net around a gateway that we’ve named the horseshoe field. It gave us a chance to test a new net I made ( double knit 4 1/2” mesh) . The rabbits travel up a very steep bank and into the field via the gateway but don’t always exit the same way . The net run out perfectly , we then made our way along the stone wall3 points

I think you are right but imho it’s not in human beings nature to be that way, I think it’s completely irresponsible of its supporters to attempt it. I also believe that it’s supporters are quiet willing to sacrifice almost anyone and anything in their quest for it. Frankly, it’s madness, we are good enough at mass slaughter as a species and this will only lead to much more3 points

I love duck flighting . The anticipation, the disappointment, and then sometimes as it did for you and the youngster it goes well . I think you might just of ignited a lifelong interest in shooting there . Well done to you both . And even more importantly ........ they are delicious ?3 points

Must just be up your way then; all stores down here are 1 way with traffic lights above the door, they won't open if red. It shouldn't be down to staff, it's not hard to avoid people. The masks aren't stores responsibility as they don't know who's exempt.3 points

If you think "the US is going to break free in the next four years", then you don't know your donkey from your elephant ! Trump fought against "globalisation " in general, and China ! Biden is a puppet of the left in America and is in hock to china and Russia, just look at his families dealings with them ! Have a bet on him not completing a full term, and his multi national, multi cultural, globalist VP taking over . Cheers.3 points

I’ll tell you why all this sudden hysteria about the government and globalist elites make me laugh......first off, a bit of history. Some of you will know of a Pamphlet that used to be in circulation called “Red Watch”.......the assumption from those who published it was that we are in a war for our very soul as a nation, culturally and as people’s of Europe. It stated we were under attack and it published names, pictures and home address of figure in labour, socialist workers party, Sinn Fein, multi racial promotion organisations, left wing organisations and anyone else who it reco3 points

Last night I went back to the squirrel farm to see if a fox had found the bait. I got set up with the wind in my face and caller between me and the wood. After playing vixen mating call for around 5 minutes a fox appeared behind me downwind ? got my wind and off it went. I switched the call to dog fox mating call and it came back but once again downwind and off it went. I therefore moved a couple of fields further over with the wind better this time and tried again but no sign this time. As I was calling a rat kept appearing out of the hedge 40 yds away , so after about half an hour and no sig3 points

I had a couple of days out in the shed and made myself a new catty. It's a 5mm HGH core from catty shack with linen micarta scales. After a quick go on the catch box, I headed off out after some game. My usual go to frame is another HGH so my accuracy was roughly the same. A couple of hours later, I had managed a nice brace of pheasants...now destined for the casserole pot!3 points

As fashionable as it is to bash Trump he hasn't allowed this hack. He isn't liable in that sense. However he's the only one in his own administration that isn't calling out the Russians on it, hence the thought progression as to what has the other THL favourite, Vlad, got on him? Joe is a disaster for America. He won mainly because he isn't Don. He won because he's as moderate a candidate as they could find in what has seen the Democrats go 'progressive' in the last few years. Despite the shit flinging on here I don't know anyone that is pro-Biden. The general consensus is that he's margi2 points
