I would never vote for a terrorist supporting, Russia appeasing old communist ideologue. I voted Labour all my life until they started having madmen , lunatics and traitors as leaders. Cheers.8 points

Well it certainly isn’t pretty but I bit the bullet so to speak and put a sightmark wraith on the .243, I was going for the pulsar digex but after playing with them both I couldn’t justify 600 quid more for the digex, so the plan is to save a bit more and buy another rifle just for the foxes and put the wraith on that and put the vortex back on the .243 ?6 points

Looking on the bright side.......we haven't got Corbyn as Prime Minister. Cheers.6 points

No that’s true but if trump wins it will make UK American relations much stronger which will help us in trade and our standing in the world, if Biden wins we will be told we are going to the back of the que regarding trade etc and there favours will lean toward the eu over the uk, it’s all a load of old bollacks really but that’s pretty much why it’s important to me, same as European country’s elections will have a big bearing on our future over coming years and it will favour us the more right leaning leaders there are ?6 points

In my opinion, all politicians are shit weasels, only out for themselves, but it takes a special sort of shit weasel who despises his own country, but has sucked on its teat for 30 odd years . Cheers.5 points

Had a return visit to the farm pond yesterday put out some mash bread and put some flake on the hook fish touch ledger on the pin had a bite less couple of hrs , changed tack and went again today this time put a chubber float on the rod pin set up , got six nice baits on the whip in know time , lip hooked a roach and let it have a spin about the swim hoping for a decent perch as I dropped a 10 oz perch couple days ago , after 20 mins no joy on went a lip hooked gudgeon. After a couple of mins in the rain lashing down hard it worked it’s way to a overhang bramble Bush. And away she went figh5 points

I dunno about rabbit's with shivs but if you're looking for volunteers for bears, lions and what not then put me on the list. The only factor in this for me personally is money. If I die in my thirties leopard hunting in the bushveld or whatever then I'll have lived and died true to myself. f**k what anyone else thinks.5 points

....live from north Staffordshire. The pyjamas still work (partly), the 457 takes its first fox (eventually) with some special help from a friend and his labradors he has just entered to retrieving fox's. So I screwed up somewhere with the 80yd off hand shot with a Remington HV HP and shot the vixen across her back hams smashing the off side rear leg. She made a wooded slang with wet bogs....I should of had my dog in the car! However I was 300 yards from a good friend so I phoned him. 1/2 hour later his dogs found it and we were both elated. With much gratitude we parted c4 points

“Takes all quarry / fills the freezer” is an in vogue description for dog that in reality would get jacked if ran at more that three hares an afternoon never mind getting pulled all over A field by an 18 stone beamoth. those big reds and indeed the fallows if given half a mind could do you some serious damage. I was talking with a lad a while back and how he described the dog as not only the master of its quarry but also the insurance policy in event of a tricky customer kind of summed up the difference between the huge majority who are content to bath in the dogs achievements and4 points

Mine is mostly coursing blood with collie / grey bred in a generation back if I remember correctly. She can catch where others can't on wet arable and is fast and agile for a 26" dog. Loves using her nose and tries her best to work cover, unfortunately also makes her a bugger for hunting on. Other downside is a weak jaw and lack of strength, even if it was pre-ban she is not suitable for retrieving anything other than rabbits. If I lived somewhere with enough rabbits to give her loads of runs in quick succession lamping or ferreting when younger I could have got better discipline but as it is4 points

Got nothing against what anyone wants to do but I think sometimes there comes a point you get a bit killed out, and now I just understand and appreciate how everything works a bit better, we have already f****d the balance right up so we will always have to step in and address the balance ourselves as is happening with the badgers here ??3 points

Imagine if Theodore Roosevelt or Frederik Selous we’re dragged from the grave and signed in on here. God I’d kill to have a drink with either of those men. Different times of course but the sense of adventure that inspired them remains. In the US or Africa there’s every bit as much justification for hunting serious apex predators as we have in the uk with deer. But I’m not having that argument on here. Lol Fair play though everyone has their own mind and motivations.3 points

I’ve heard this is a plot by republican’s to stop the forecasted presidential debates, after Trump got spanked during the week. Next Week Trump will appear calling himself the healthiest, president ever, with the strongest immune system of any incumbent. Covid 19 is nowt to be worried about....Breeze....Biden should be exposed and see how strong he is....loser.... Covid is a Democratic Plot.....Vote Trump....Best Eva... They just want to rob me off the election..... all the left.....3 points

Maybe I’ve read too many books on hunting in Africa, and story’s about Man eating lions and Tigers. And tales of daring hunters and how they brought their nemesis to book . I think as a hunter it’s possibly the ultimate. It’s a calculated risk , nobody who goes into that situation believes they will die . You put yourself in a situation that is dangerous, but you believe that you have the knowledge and skill set to deal with it . If you don’t you will be found out . Unfortunately as a Brit , if I went to Africa to hunt leopard or lion , it would be with a PH . Who w3 points

There is a small river near here that I call 'Lilliput' after Arthur Ransome's story 'Fishing in Lilliput' that was obviously inspired by Gulliver's Travels.Within a one mile stretch there are some very varies swims and lots of species. I can usually count on six or seven different species in a session. It's no pressure angling ?3 points

Its the best way to go imho to produce very versatile lurchers .A bitch i had bred out of the caithness dogs to a well known coursing dog called the beast. Well before the ban when pic was taken.3 points
