In a topic that involves ,football ,and NUFC , Max could make Greb seem like a reasonable chap who doesn't like a never ending argument .7 points

Farmer called to say pigeons on the barley , could I have a look. Well on arrival at the gate to the field a squizzer ran along the gate and up the hedge so I quickly grabbed my gun and ran up the hedge and managed to nab him ? Chuffed with that as I haven't had a squirrel in 2 years ... There was no woodies about to speak of so went for a wander in the blistering heat. Managed to bag 5 species for 5 shots so well satisfied with that ?7 points

We usually head south for our holidays but, because of all the 'f**k off' signs and general pissyness from the locals over the last few months, we went north this year and, I'm glad we did We drove for 4hrs and had 10 days in the lake district. ........... the locals were all really nice and, the amount of unspoilt scenery was amazing. I was disappointed with lake Windermere - it's either got big houses with walls and fences by the shore or, it's become too commercialised and rammed with people. Coniston water is completely different - it's a lovely5 points

I’ve just got back from Charlestown Poldark setting it was a nice place but Friday night the amount of kids running around puking falling over and general pissedness was unreal. I visited the Lost Gardens of Heligan which was ok and visited Mevagissey which I would have preferred to stay with hindsight, and whilst there I’m sure I walked past Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall it was a Jethro Tull T-shirt he was wearing that caught my eye and I thought hello it’s him lol with his family. Overall bloody expensive best part of £500 to stay in a pub for 3 nights and the amount of money spent w5 points

Heat is the biggest problem, for well muscled dogs especially so, muscles create a lot of heat and it takes time to dissipate and heavily greyhound blooded dogs tend to have a high percentage of muscle mass compared to other dogs. Keep them fit and the weight down plus coats stripped then be aware of the dogs limits.5 points

Evidently they intended to put money into Wallsend Boys Club. The Club has an enviable record of producing top class footballers, including, incedently, a godson of mine. Cheers.4 points

Totally agree buddy . But I'm not purely talking about working . Mine never seen owt to talk about . But as a guard and a companion. Couldn't be beaten imo . As I said before yokel, they are certainly a master of nothing but can be a jack of all trades ?this old boy never set a foot wrong with people or dogs4 points

Hold tight, you are getting nasty and personal which I’m sure is not a problem for most of us but you tend to scream like a stuck pig when that comes back round......just saying, there’s no need for it to get messy is there ?4 points

Blame that on the Government FFS. It's the Government that said keep 2 meters away and use a mask. It's thick twats that are choosing to ignore that and endanger the people of the South West. Come down by all means but a little respect for are Lives our Beauty spots and our Beaches, at the moment we are just being mugged by ignorant selfish twats. The R value is now one of the worst in the country thanks to these thick tourists. Cheers Arry4 points

You're incoherent and all over the place. Now you're comparing immigration to the Saudi buyout! They're not selling the Saudis f***ing passports! Ya wanna talk about morals. I remember when you were out East last year and took your kid cub petting. That industry is f***ing rancid with cruelty! See the fact is that no two people in this world have the same morals. In your mind where you repeat the naive mantra of "right is right and wrong is wrong" I'm sure it seems that way. We couldn't buy a damn thing if we ruled out everyone with a dodgey policy history.4 points

I have been struggling with the question, what is the perfect calibre for me to take around with me on my journeys around the shoot during the day . I may want to dispatch a fox in a snare , or shoot a squirrel or get a rabbit for the Larsen trap , or maybe a fox at 200 or 300 meters as it makes its way up a hedgerow. At last I’ve found the perfect solution to the age old question. Simples , I take two rifles, a 22lr and a .243 . ??4 points

Took the pup to my vets this morning, got her registered with em, checked her over, was well pleased with her, so took Nell and stinkers along with me , for 10 mins in the field on my way home, Tess travels well, but the hob ferret, goes mental in its box to get out, so here they are, by the way, the vet gave me a bag of goodies for Tess, plus free milbemax puppy wormers for 12 months3 points

I wont pretend to be an expert on world politics and would soon get found out if tried but obviously the Saudis have "room for improvement". But will excluding them from the party help to bring them into the 21st century? It certainly wont make them any worse and they are allegedly trying to develop. From a selfish point of view what good could the takeover do for the north east of England? It may be PR bullshit but apparently Amanda Staveley is looking at the deal from a philanthropist as well as purely business perspective. She not only wants to develop Newcastle United the football club but3 points

The main problem you got mate is all the ditloes that normally go to Benidorm to get bollacksed and have a fight before throwing the Barbie in the pool and insulting all the locals have cancelled there regular all inclusive fortnight of anarchy and decided to enjoy the pleasures of England, as soon as the cheap package deals are back on the table with no fear of loosing your money or spending a fortnight in isolation you will once again get the more refined Englishmen who appreciate what lovely things are still waiting to be discovered on our own shores, just dig in and ride the storm mate ??3 points

Gotta be honest, it’s not a major factor for me beyond naturally avoiding people anyway. But it’s not like there aren’t other options.3 points

Same family, same owners/administrators of the PIF that were going to invest 80% of the cost of buying Newcastle United. Cheers.3 points

We don't seem to have any qualms about buying their oil and gas to power and fuel our homes, transport, businesses, etc. This is why the government wanted nothing to do with the takeover. We can sell them billions of pounds worth of arms and equipment, train their military, police, security services, etc, but we can't sell them a football club, well we can't sell them Newcastle United, but we can sell them Sheffield United ! Double standards, methinks ! Cheers.3 points

^^^^^^^^^^^ yep, actually admitting that they came here to get away from all that sheite of wearing masks etc! Selfish twats! We have gone from no cases a day to double figures in a fortnight, what a surprise that is then. ? Oh and Cornwall doesn't only survive on emmit money, it's just the cream on the cake.3 points

LOL, you draw and equivalence between Saudi buying a business and the BLM mob, which was nonsense. There isn't any significant parallel. You'd like there to be because it brings the race topic back up for you. Saudi want to buy a UK business! That's it! That's all this is about. There's no parallel to BLM and supporting one and not the other is fine because the reasoning behind both is completely different.3 points

RAT BAITING The prohibition on animal fightings of 1835 didn't include rat baiting or ratting. So ratting increased popularity as a gambling sport and rat pits appeared everywhere. At one time London counted about 70 rat pits. Wentworth Day, a devotee of the rat baiting game wrote in the 19th century: "This was a rather dirty, small place, in the middle of the Cambridge Circus, London. You went down a rotten wooden stair and entered a large, underground cellar, which was created by combining the cellars of two houses. The cellar was full of smoke, stench of rats, dogs and dirty3 points

It was a good, relevant thread, but degenerated Into the usual arguments and abuse whenever Newcastle United are mentioned. I, as a Newcastle native, but not a rabid football supporter, was quite interested in the proposed Saudi take over, especially as I lived in Saudi for many years, and I'm disappointed it's not happening. But, it's not the end of the world, it's only football ! Cheers.2 points
