Had an interview today, this morning. But on the way called in a new construction firm that makes steel buildings. Did a weld test and start tomorrow. I cancelled the other place...long boring story. It was raining bad here today. I dont know what it is but in bad weather I am always drawn to a flintlock! Probably years of hearing folk say they are useless in the rain etc etc. I admit today that it was suffering from high humidity and after the first failure realized I needed to change the prime regularly. I got two rabbits between downpours. I missed two and a pigeon. I made smoke and lo7 points

Old age is a cruel mistress my friend, I take a cod liver oil capsule everyday, supposed to be good for the joints . You would know it to look at me as I hobble around . I had to laugh the other day , I was talking to the guy who owns the estate I work on when the tractor driver ( who is notoriously work shy ) walked past, and stuck on the back of his coat was a snail . Quick as a flash , the boss remarked “ Adam, he caught up with you “!6 points

Little bitch is 4 1/2 months now, doing great. Clever little bitch. Had her out doing a bit of pest control the other day, farmer wanted a few taken off some silage fields. I decided to take her along for her first proper look out. She was fantastic, marking, very steady, anticipating bolts, just a pleasure.4 points

What was the point in breeding bull x whippets in the first place apart from that Powell to make a few quid? Can’t see how they’d be an improvement on a decent bull x grey in any situation4 points
-
A few.Admitedly Ive seen a lot of cloddy shit too but Ive never seen a single bull/whippet with decent pace.I bred a litter myself years ago and even a couple that topped up at 22" were nowhere near as fast as either of my bull greyhound bitches that were a shade under and a shade ove 23" that were both very good fox bitches and could do double figures on rabbits on flat arable for fun.4 points

Back in early May I bought myself a scout lt, and for me it’s one of the best mass produced Cattys ever... period !. My kill rate has gone through the roof but shooting squirrels with trees in full foliage has proved to be a little difficult at times not only that but the occasional one hasn’t been picked due to dropping out of view, now I’m not like most people and every bird/animal that evades the game bag is food for a multitude of scavengers and I’m happy to leave the odd one. Now I think most of you know I tend to hang around with smithie in the winter months and we’ve often spoke about3 points

You can’t protect your family in jail mate . believe me my wife and I have sat on our hands Since October for the benefit of our family and sanity . you need to play the long game in things such as that as it’s just far too easy to be the mug in such scenarios3 points

Only the odd ones and twos for me lately. I’ve had quite a few last couple of months but they’re dwindling at the moment. I’ve got a large broad leaf wood to shoot, with a lot of beech trees but I haven’t been up there yet this year. The beech trees are usually abound with the blighters, but in the tops of those tall trees they can be sporting to say the least.3 points

Been given the right run around by this cub this last week that’s been killing chickens daylight as well as after dark ,those that get shut out . Farmer saw it kill 3 chickens last week and one of the workers saw it brazenly jump the electric fence and make off out the other side with a chicken ,having snatched the bird from within the scratch are last light .Every time ive been over there ,ive either not seen it or it’s run off into long grass .Its only young but appears to know all about infrared light . Anyway ,not to be beaten ,I staked out the shed it been killing from and lucki3 points

Was there again last night mate .Wasnt a fox I saw go under the fence though and into the scratch area .Old brock couldn’t give a damn about the mains fencing clicking away on his back .Watched him check out both scratch areas then sprint to the next shed to do the same .Some of the chickens late going in are left in the scratch and very few of these make the morning . The rats are building up again I see so back at them tonight with the air gun .3 points

And on the right ground a decent fox will make half decent lurchers look stupid. Take yourself out with a Half Decent lurcher in the day time on rough ground and see how many they make look slow.3 points

Go around the back of any sea food restaurant in France and Spain and I'll guarantee that most of the fish boxes are branded with UK suppliers. The reason sea food is so expensive in the UK is because it is regarded as a luxury. In France and Spain it is an everyday ingredient of their cooking. Spain is the largest consumer of sea food and yet has virtually no fisheries of their own. France imports € millions of sea food every year from the UK and most of its own catch quota are in British waters.2 points

Liberia...... enough said! Too much needs doing and no one has the balls. It's time to say adios... if that also means me returning home then so be it! Let the Pakistani, Indian etc Dr's go back to their countries and up their medical services and let's start training our youngsters to enter the profession. In 10 years living here, I have never seen a dr from who was from outside of Spain or Portugal. Why? Because they train their next generations and prioritise them! Racism is rife and in the UK, we are on the receiving end now, thanks to our cowardly and openly racist consecutive2 points
