  6. I think the question we should ask is, who is going back to the old way of living and how we view things ? Imho this has clearly shown that all the things we have been told are terribly important and all the things we were told we “had” to do are in fact totally meaningless when push comes to shove......they just batted them off. Its shown that it’s more important to grow things than build all over the fields we grow on, it’s shown in many areas that we have lost important parts of our character as a people, it’s shown (and will show) the very worst that we have become. 7. Eyup gents. You all still heading out to the perms at the minute? Just wondered like. Seems like a appropriate little past time we do have... we can stick the odd bit of dinner in the freezer... thats not been in some ransacked supermarket thank f**k... while being alone and surrounded by good old trees. Went today for a couple of hours and the sheer silence from all the news was the best thing I’ve heard in a long time. Took the rifle like but to be honest didn’t take one shot at any pests, just felt mint to have a couple of ‘isolated’ places to go.

  8. Have just dared to go outside and take the dogs out, it’s like the 1980s out there the lanes are absolutely stuffed full of cyclists ? parks are full of people walking dogs and having picnics it’s all a bit surreal but quite nice, the wildlife is waking up and venturing out as well, can’t think of a nicer time of year to have to stop going to work it’s brilliant

  9. I'm sure most lads ,lasses on here would harvest what they need from fields etc but most haven't got a clue ,as for living off grid it's not so hard ,who really needs electric and gas , look at the way the old gypsy people lived before ,trailers .they lived in bender tents and wagons and horses and lived off the land ,most of what they hawked was made from hedge row "pegs, flowers, baskets "and most had grinding bike or barrow .they would harvest the land around to feed the family . no genys ,no fridge,no electrical items at all ,just a fire outside to cook on in all weathers and a li

  11. C'mon mate... the chances are we will go back to "normal" in a couple of months and every "townie" will be back queuing for a big mac and as long as they can get baccy and beer all is good with the world... I don't for one minute think we are going to starve and self reliance is our only hope..I do however think this highlights how different people act.... I'd like to think most of us could "make do" and not go into panic mode if McDonald's or sainsbury's shut for a week... Most of us already have more affinity with the land and sea than people who have no interest in the countryside

  14. Can SOMEONE please explain this mad buying of everything you can carry? I really really dont get it. Everytime I look outside, I feel that there is a place in society for gas chambers! Almost feel like going around after this and doing a study on how people reacted - and having the morons PTS as if shit gets really real . . . . . its them muppets that will drag us all down.

  15. I grew up in a sort of middle class family,i say sort of as we were better off than most working class families i knew and i love my home comforts but as i have said many times before the best most stress free days of my life were when i lived in a bow top wagon and cooked on a open fire. Most folk would look on and think i had f**k all when i had everything i ever needed and nothing i didn't need in my life to worry about.

  22. Do you really think the government would f**k our economy into the ground. . . . . just for laughs? Serious question. Our government is usually slow to react and tells us less than we should know. Seems a bit odd, if this was just a storm in a tea cup, that all of the medical, economical etc advisors in place, would suggest shutting large parts of our economy and society down. . . . . . They must be shittin it about something.

  27. I've said loads mate, I'm.very fortunate where I live...but I'm.not blind and I work and travel the country...so I get it...but... putting colour aside for 1 minute we have over 2 generations bred some complete shit....benefit scrounging, lazy fuckers... my old estate is proof to that...might not be full of asians, blacks etc... but it ain't what it was, council estates were full of hard working people, with scum bags sprinkled around.. great environment I thought....wouldn't give you a f**k for the place now... .

  42. Grand looking hound! Had a DH x Grey/ Collie dog I rehomed at 3 , had for 4 year, til he passed in 2018. And another DH xGrey I sourced from a lad in Cramlington, but unfortunately he had a bone cancer that ended him before he was 2.5 y.old, last March. Both dogs more than capable on all running stuff, with time. Last young DH cross lad was slow to develop but got useful on long ears, in tandem, but at 29tts and 37kg - turning was like berthing the QE2 compared to my 22tts whippet/ grey x beddy. He proved quick enough over rough ground to take roe on a few occasions, and was awes
