Hello All, Ive not been on here in a long long time. Some of you may remember me, most probably won’t. Anyway, cutting to the chase, I have decided that after this season I want to breed my bitch. And I’m hoping someone on here can point me in the direction of the right sire, most of my very small group of friends either keep bitches or not the sort of dog im looking to use. I have one option currently, which is a dog I go out with, but it’s always worth having a look about. What I’m looking for is a coursing type dog, big, at least 26”, fast and with plenty of stamina and good

My airgun barely ever gets the use it deserves but got a call to thin out the squirrels around the estate wedding venue. There were wedding viewings in progress and the gym at the other end of the building was busy so shotgun was out of the question so it was down to the neglected airgun. Did ok with it, ended up with 10 but only took a pic of the first 3. The thermal was invaluable for spotting too!

Done some real big gorse patches today .real tough going .dogs done well .2 foxes out both shot at only 1 fell to the gun .one fox went back on me and away for another day .all youngsters doing well .them the dreaded mist came back and spoilt rest of day .

l once had a red cocker dog pup left and kept hlm ln the end best one yet 11 now and still puts 2/3 proper shifts ln week ln week out .

There's a litter of saluki saturated pups here, bred by mate, from a dog I once owned and brought in from England, these dogs have had very few hares, but they've had an awful amount of everything else, they lamp like pros, rabbit, fox and loads of the other, their sheepdog obedient believe it or not, the sire lamps free, no slip lead needed, he's keeping one and has 3 left, he's not on social media and lives in a remote part, so knows very few.... I've had some weekends there and there's deer everywhere there... Sire and dam below

9 times out of 10 if a dogs is cleaned properly and given the correct aftercare there is no need to be giving any type of antibiotic.Seen too many lads reaching for the needle and probably doing more harm than good after a dogs put a hard shift in.

Recently moved a few sheds on the chicken farm I do a bit on so gave a mate from way back a shout with his two terriers ,a Russel and a border . The first shed was moved on news years eve and we ended up with a couple over 100 rats . Second shed was yesterday morning and we did 196. Mate responded with an invite to stalk a fallow buck which I achieved first light this morning How it should be and sets the bar for this years mates list .Nice one John ,my kind of lad and puts you firmly on the ratting events list .

Thats the thing really isn’t it, some terriers after a dig only need a good clean a feed and a warm bed whereas others you only have to look at them to know their going to need something more, also comes down to individual terriers and dogs in general I’ve had dogs never get an infection in their lives and others that only had to get a single tooth in them for the infection to set in.

Thanks, but I tried that along with float fishing worms, and bread under a cocked float trotted downstream. Some days they will take anything you put in front of them and other days they ignore everything. Because of the bank holidays, shops closed situation I couldn't get any shell fish. I've had success with pieces of whelk or mussels cut up with scissors and fished on a small hook. Cheers mate I appreciate that, To be fair the game shooting isn’t really my thing, what I like is putting on a good day for people and especially the young shots and people who haven’t done it before, yesterday I gave my gun to my mate Morris so I could run the beaters all day, for a keeper from a large estate to compliment you on the quality of your shoot is really nice, it proves that this is not a rich mans sport and if it’s done right it’s for everyone, fingers crossed we finish the season off with some more good weather ?

Having a head like a football doesnt mean that an infection has set in.Swelling can occur in any wound wether infection has set in or not,Treating with metacam or a similar anti inflammatory will normallyhelp with this and help keep the dog comfortable. An infection in an open wound takes 2/3 days to set in.In that first 24/36hrs your time is better spent making sure the dog is fully rehydrated (just making sure its had a drink isn't enough if its had a grueler)rather than chucking a load of antibiotics in and giving its kidnys something else to try and deal with.Why chuck a lad of stuff in to
