  2. Big mission happening here to relocate what we have left, moving some to old warrens, unused now for over 2 years. 22 relocated so far. We are only taking several from specific areas and relocating them all round us to make better bloodlines and keep the long-eared populations going for hunting seasons to come. Few burrows kicked out already after only a fortnight. Hopefully the virus wont wipe out our hard work but gonna be a great thing come summer to start seeing chippers again. Hunters duty bound to help and look after what we hunt for not only ourselves but the young hun

  6. Since we stopped going out , me and the wife get dressed into summat smart a piece then sit up and watch the bells together in the house. Just the pair of us . A wee tradition we have and one I look forward to carrying on. This year , I’m going to be more productive and organised hard. I tend to be quite “busy” and use that as a cover for poor organising but this year I’m going to train for an extra hour every day and I’m going to do an hour of education, ideally maths , every night when the kids are in bed cancelled Sky , I’ve weened myself off joe rogan on in the back

  8. No mate, from the government they get no more or less funding than any other school. What they do tend to get is better support from parents and PTAs because, rather than trying to be all things to all people, everyone is pulling in the same direction from an ethical and values point of view......they are normally more of a “community” Many parents are not religious but when it comes down to their kids they can fully appreciate the massive benefit of following the basic moral code and structures of faith schools......a bit more old fashioned values and common sense if you will.

The last day of the year I haven't managed to get in anywhere near as much hunting as I would have liked - work's been a bit of a prick over the last 12 months but, that's soon to be rectified ............ must make more time for it next year ? I really must also make the time to get my arse up north at some point What's left to say?............ Si, all the best to you and yours mate. Jimmy, best wishes to you and your family. Jeff, good luck with the new house mate. Phil, I hope your back garden stays dry. Rez, mor

Sorry to say but Carrera push bikes were a very good well made bike I think from Italy, the ones sold by Halfords are just cheap Thai copy there have been several court cases over it apparently but it’s no better than a Raleigh, be better off spending 300 notes on a second hand kona, orange or simular

  16. Got to agree, think we’ve all had this conversation on here before and had mixed opinions. The way I see it, if you’re out for a day digging and there’s space, chaining a youngster up is better than it sat looking at 4 walls all day.

  17. What harm can it do bringing a pup and tying him up letting him see what's going on each to there own but it's better than them looking at 4 walls at home imo they will learn nothing there

  20. Mines to talk to some homeless people. I'm guilty of labeling the them all druggies and scroungers. I'm going to buy a bunch of vouchers for Greg's each month, they do them for £5, enough for a brew and bacon butty. Each month I'm going to go out of my way to actually speak to them see if I can change my opinion. I also want to volunteer at a soup kitchen if time allows.

  21. And it's not all organised coursing but also some out for a bit of fun and sport. From Russia to Chile.

  22. I also believe no harm is done having a pup chained up around a dig, in the box, around the other dogs and gear, not come to any harm for me personally, and like said before beats being behind bars all day. Horses for courses and different things work for different people, wouldn’t leave an Earth a pup walked out without trying an older dog, too curious but that’s just me?

  24. It would be madness to ferret your attic. The ferrets could become lost down the cavity walls. Then you'll have dead rats and dead ferrets stinking the house out. If you have holes in the garden or under outbuildings ferrets might be of use . Your best bet really is traps and ,failing them , poison. Yes, the body might smell but would you be happier with a live and odour-free rat making merry with your wiring and dropping disease into your water tank? Discovering why you have rats in the loft is important . Is the garden tidy? Are there b

  25. When I watch Vids like those posted it really hammers home to me the unspoken tragedy of the ban on hare coursing in the uk . That the dogs purposefully bred on this little island for the running of that big east anglia land are superior to anything else found elsewhere on this planet in a comparative sport the names and the bloodlines of these dogs will be lost and gone in 30 , 40 years time . Heartbreaking

  26. I wouldn’t bother with a carrera unless your capable of replacing everything apart from the frame it might be shimano equipped stuff but it’s the stuff at the bottom end . The fittings are cheap an rust as well. I got a Carrera Subway v brake non suspension for £50 off eBay and the gears and back wheel bearings went , the front wheel hub went rusty . I managed to get a old merlin malt 1 Mtb for £25 sold the old bomber forks off it for £30 and swapped the v brakes and wheels onto the subway now I’m going to convert it to single speed .And it will be a low maintenance bike that

  30. To encourage a young dog to get up and over, especially with a see-through type of barrier, I tend to throw my coat over .. I only do this a few times; I find it gives a pup, something to aim for,.. and improves his confidence no end....

  31. Your living in a time when hate crime is taken more seriously than serial rape of minors mate. People like that teacher in the video with those young kids have made it that way and many people have supported them. Thats why I asked you previously where you draw a line because once you support one bit of nonsense (however seemingly innocuous ) you are opening the doors to every kind of nonsense......a society that protects scum like these people when they rape kids in the name of diversity is the sum result of every single bit of nonsense we let slip. jjmho

  32. Just live in different places, we don't have proper sea otters
    3 points
  33. Don’t think so, this is only my observation but sea otters seem quite a bit bigger than the ones I,ve seen in freshwater, there is also quite a size difference between male and females, a good size male river otter can do 40lb plus and make a formidable foe for anything, they are pretty well spread about now, I’ve seen them on the river Severn were the m50 goes over it the Kenneth and Avon canal around bath the Somerset levels and even a small dyke near me that empty’s empty’s a small moor into the Severn, early mornings seems the best time to see them unless you go out with a lamp

  39. There's starting em off, and starting em off. Starting a youngster on ferreting is completely different to starting a youngster on lamping. Ferreting, as long as you keep in mind your pup is still a youngster, is faaar less strenuous than lamping. And there's also the ground conditions with your pups feet, joints ligaments etc. Night time forays will normally be a few degrees colder than daytime, and that can sometimes be the difference between a pup knocking a toe up or not. Just a couple of things to possibly consider
