  2. I love that film, seen The Who live too, twice. Took my mam up to gateshead years ago and we had the disabled platform to ourselves, Daltry walks on stage and my daft thing of a mum uses her everything to stand out of her wheelchair and scream his name ? I put her straight back into it and said mam we have it good here, if you do that again they'll kick us off ?... no they won't she says, she stands back up, Roger gives her a point and a shout out and I spend the next two hours holding her up while she wiggles... fuucking mods ??? Edited to add; I probably shouldn't post this but hey... i

  3. I’ll start with an apology to anyone I’ve offended as of late I’ve been a bit brusque lately and I’m sorry for any offence I’ve caused I don’t really know what I’m doing writing this here in a forum of public strangers but I suppose this is the closest thing I have to social media and access to a group of people I share viewpoints with. Today I may have shot myself in the foot, I was due to start a degree level course in January, something that is feted and grabbed for in my line of work. It’s two years long and Would mean I’d be hanging up the tools I’ve used for over a decade fo

  5. As the temperature had dropped to -1 and there was clear skies I thought I need to be out for an hour, for no other reason than a walk out in the crisp air, so I grabbed the little.22 and headed out to check the camera for foxy action, so first thing when I got there I headed over to the camera, I’d baited up over the past few days with a couple of breasted out pheasants, a rabbit and a squizzer, now the only thing that was missing was the squirrel but the camera had not triggered so I’ve no idea what has taken it, possibly one of the buzzards at a guess, so at the minute it’s not looking to

  8. My hunting today resulted in two squizzers and a crow. As much as I had fun on a driven day last weekend, I much prefer stalking around a woodland by myself! Only annoying thing was that shooting 1 of the nut munchers flushed two pheasants 45yds to the right of where I was about to go next!

  13. Unfortunately Mr Gnipper our Pro Bono work has a rather constrained budget, hence the venture you suggest would be far beyond its current economic viability. In truth such a venture would be a challenge to even a well funded establishment. We did attempt to use a computer designed algorithm but alas the sheer volume and variety of, to use a colloquialism, nonsensical gibberish, resulted in a complete system failure. This did bring some calls for the project to be abandoned but in light of humanity's need to support the intellectually constraind it was decided our presence within the Hunting Li

  14. I wouldn't vote, but I voted once for something I was pretty keen on, Brexit...it would seem labour dont want that, the lib dems certainly dont, the Tories seem to be inclined to see it through, perhaps in name only...the Brexit party certainly want that, but then what? Is it a vote wasted, another for labour by default? Some random independent party, same scenario....so....do I just say f**k it, I've got by under a labour government, a few Tory ones, a tory/lib dem alliance... why should I give a f**k anymore?? Selfish I know, but I honestly believe it makes no odds anymore...its a load

  17. Nobody can tell you who to vote for. You need to look at your candidates. Vote for the one that is most likely to beat corbyn and the Liberals, both of which will lead to us staying in the EU. In this election its the Conservative candidate if they are a strong brexiteer or if in a massively anti tory area then brexit party. I don't think it's far to say the Conservatives turned their backs on brexit, they didn't have a majority so couldn't do more, and they have de selected most of their remain MPs since then

Haven’t been out in a while as life’s been hectic but I got a call from my mate who lives on a farm asking if I could go up and sort a few jobs out for him so I put the HW100 in the boot on the off chance I could get a few pigeons whilst I was up there. No such luck with the pigeons but while I was there his neighbour approached me and said that there were a few squirrels knocking about the beech trees at the edge of his land in a small corpse of woods and it would be ok to knock a few off if I saw any. Needless to say I didn’t need a second invitation so off I went for a few hours and a scout

  23. So you just use the extra strap to lift the net, not carrying it around. I use 4z net as i have said makes a fair bit of difference in weight and for me performance. When the basket is full with 2 slots full there is a hell of a lot of netting in it, whatever basket you use it is going to be on the heavy side with all that netting in. On the original i have a band on the bottom which helps plus i have it perfectly balanced when full of net. I only ever use my big basket when i need all that net.

  26. Glad to see that the general consensus on here it that the bloke is a tool. Doesn't matter what you think of other people owning cats, when it is sat next to a house like that only someone sick in the head would do that. That is someones pet, I'm no cat lover (seems to be a theme on here!) but someone probably thinks a great deal of those animals. Anyone condoning that, how would you feel if someone did similar to your dog that was sat out on the front drive or you found out it was stolen to be a bait dog for fighting gangs? - absolutely agree that he is on a level with dog thieves.

  27. I can't tell you how to vote mate. Myself I will be voting for the Tory's for the first time in my life. This seat has always been Tory but Sarah Wollaston was the Tory MP here and is now standing as a Lib -Dem. A anti democratic MP in an anti Democratic Party. The Lib - Dems were 8% behind here last time and the traitor must be kept out. Cheers Arry

  30. Money comes and money goes but your family are there forever and are the most important thing in life. I lost a lot of time with my kids and they grew up fast without me knowing them properly ... luckily my missus is the glue that binds us all together and that’s helped massively ... a career lasts for a very short part of your life and when it’s done nobody gives a fukc about you ... your family and kids will always be there and will always love you ... honestly nothing else on this planet matters compared to your family and the best you can do is to do the best by them ......

  31. I had a springer who used to accompany me when mole-trapping around the farm where we used to live. Without any training she quickly picked up the habit of running ahead to check the trap sites and would indicate traps with moles in them. She also used to find traps that foxes or badgers had dug out and abandoned nearby. Now we have a small Fox Terrier x JRT that we got from the local refuge. She comes with me on Mole patrol and has also started to check the traps and indicate any with moles in them. Last week while i was tidying up a Putange site where a trap had been dug up

  33. This is another option and albeit on the surface looks like a cheap one it is probably more expensive. Quality quick release mounts are not cheap and you need quality ones to have repeatability. Then what do you change your quality day scope for? Another day scope but of a lot less quality so that it will work with an add on, and add on's are only ever a compromise imho. Or a decent dedicated scope which will be circa 2k. It requires a lot of thinking about before an expensive mistake is made. I personally opted for two completely different set ups , daytime Tikka T3 superv

  37. What he said is that the Tories have turned their back on the People's Vote - whatever that is. Wasn't it the people who already voted? And Corbyn has indicated that he would allow a second EU referendum if people wanted it, but not for a referendum for Scotland's independence even if the people wanted it, so he is as inconsistent as ever. The Brexit Party hasn't gone anywhere, neither has Farage. If you want Brexit to be done and there isn't a Conservative MP standing in your area then you probably will find a Brexit Party candidate. If you don't want Brexit then safest to vote Lib-Dem a

Half a dozen feral pigeons were doing what pigeons do ,all over things they shouldn't be doing what pigeons do over . I could have nipped home for something more professional-looking but decided to make do with the squirrel dispatch tool I already had in the van . Namely a 48 year old Relum with iron sights. It turned out there were six hardcore offenders . In a sort of OK Corral ( s
