I went to check my new trail camera this morning and it only photographed a squirrel. I think little birds set it off. There was two night shots but they were blurred! Maybe condensation via a rapid temp change in the night. The bait was untouched. On the way I walked a slang of trees for squirrel but to my joy a pheasant lifted up in front left to right at about 22yards or so. The little 410 came up moved Infront of its head and spoke. The bird fell head back dead in the air. Just 11g of #6, ace.

I enjoy reading threads on here that offer decent advice or help people out. Also like reading about decent days out with decent pictures of dogs working. Never been fussed to see pictures of dogs with ‘kill’. Been some great threads on here but they seem to get ruined.

Very hard to add to what lads have already said on the thread but you’ve let know one down and I am sure your Ruth would want you to try to enjoy your life. I know it’s not as straightforward as it sounds but try and take up one of the very kind offers you’ve received it will help. Very sorry for your loss and I genuinely hope your health, both physically and mentally, improves very quickly. It probably feels like the wrong time but think about getting another dog maybe an older one, they help so much with the loneliness.

The comp often gets mentioned on threads like this....and that I believe is because 99% of us would get on in the real world, lots have been to the weekend and there has been no real fall outs, in fact in the main I'd say most of us who go end up friends...we all share the same interest pretty much, so it ain't that hard to get along....
