  2. Many moons ago we were culling foxes. We had left a dead sheep in a field and flashed lights for several days over the corpse to familiarise them with lamps. We had counted eleven different foxes attracted to the smell. Perfect windy night we released the big dog. He ran straight down the beam and tucked into the sheep as though he hadn't been fed for a week.☺ I trained a springer to perfection. Convinced my shooting buddies he was a future field trial champion. First day out he performed like a real un. Until he scented a hare and f****d off into the next county. That took a lot of livi

  5. If you are a parent in many parts of the inner cities it feels like a war when you are frightened to let your kids go to the local park because of feral, neanderthal youths "sicking on" large dogs which are only valued because of their intimidatory appearance and aggressive temperaments. To say nothing of the kids having to avoid dog shit (probably from unwormed dogs). I visit relatives in Manchester regularly and believe me they feel under siege from such dogs and their anti-social owners. There you go, "war" and 'siege" more war imagery. They should make me prime minister, f**k tabloid jou

The hunting in Ireland is going like England , another few years and the game will be up. fools f***ing it up and landowners getting less willing to allow lads into the land due to insurance and messers running stock threw fences at night and shite like that. Everyone has to take a picture or a video of what their doing up on social media these days , there's far to much public awareness and heat now and farmers just don’t want the hassle.

  11. it's worse now than it ever was prior to the 91 dda act. the amount of shite bred bull breed crosses being owned by halfwitted neds is shocking! couple that with nambie pambie animal shelters rehoming someone elses f.uck up with any tom dick or harry because they go by the whole "no bad dog just bad owner" ethos instead of tapping the suspect mutts and you have potential carnage on your hands. there were a few incidents that led to the dda act being passed, but largely various authorites had bee in their bonnet over the apbt. with hindsight, the act was good for the breed, it took them (for

The garden was fenced off to 7 feet aLl around except the front dividing wall which was 5 breeze blocks high to 2 27inch Saluki crosses this was f**k all , and as most of my mates had escorts or transits they would stand feet on top of the wall heads like the wind in the williows weasels staring into the road of the council estate we lived on. I’d be at school or work and I’d get a text off my mam saying they d gone or she’d had to

  20. Reading the article, they already had that law about ALL flags of all countries but the EU flag didn’t fall into that catergory.........the most worrying thing is not the law, it’s the fact that it is being recognised as a symbol of state and not an economic organisation.

Airgun hunting ( static), Shotgun hunting and static, trapping , walked up, retrieves everything to hand, they are superb gun dogs and very good watch dogs too. Flushes a woodcock here after the command " go on ". On point for a rabbit. Static air gun, all retrieved to hand. GSP are great all round hunting dogs. Good luck.

  26. My view on Brexit has been changing slightly over the last couple of months. Now the EU is a shit organisation and they are definitely going to a very sinister place with all this empire building, it also has a distinctly anti democracy agenda on many issues.......however I think the last 3 years have shown us things that we didn’t know before and, it seems, many still can’t grasp.......namely that a massive amount of our daily problems were the fault of the politicians we kept electing to our own parliament, they simply hid behind the EU. We blame massive free movement of people, 3r

  27. Hello, here a nearly finished knife I made for a hunter for an africa safari. The knife had to be exclusive and dark and materials related to Africa. So here a 11cm blade from Wirtz / Bahls Damascus (1.2842, 1.3505 and 75Ni8 in about 240 layers) 12cm handle from bronze, cape buffalo and ebony. The handle will have a bronze pin wich is still missing and an escutcheon engraved with the hunters initials. Regards Nicolas

Temperament wise they have all been great dont cast in the house ideal for people with allergies.Very busy outside but have a good off switch in the house very laid back. Some people say they have no recall and dont listen they can be stubborn like most terrier breeds but just put the early work in obedience wise and recall etc. i had no real problems with mine i would say he was a biddable dog. i only used him ferreting( gre

  36. I think we are on the same page Wilf. As far as Beef cattle go jmo but I've think they've gone too far with size. Some breeds are so big calving becomes a problem. Any bigger and the bull will have trouble rearing up to serve the cow. Double the size of the herd and half the size of the breed would be my unthought out suggestion.?

  39. Owners of these "war" dog breeds should be compelled to insure them against attacking people.Muzzling in a public place should also be compulsory. For example 100 notes per annum to insure a poodle. Three/ four/ five grand per annum for akitas, mastiffs, rotties. It's the same principle as car insurance, the younger you are the more powerful the car the more you pay. No insurance .?.dog destroyed. At least victims of atacks would receive compensation. No insurance? Dog seriously attacks somebody....learn to like porridge.

  40. I've lost dogs, to all manner, of 'over-running' maladies,..some dogs seem pre-destined to die young, whilst others will suffer from abuse and can handle, even the stupidest of handlers...? Trust me, I used to be, a world-renowned authority, on the fecking subject... ? You got to take things really slow and, let the jukels run themselves into, a natural kind of fitness...?

  41. You will struggle to find any politician that has worked for ten years let alone in the constituency. Take Corbyn (please); according to Wiki he worked for 2 years until aged 19 he went travelling and then has been in politics for the rest of his life. And he is not in a minority. Few of our current politicians have done what we call proper jobs.

  42. Blimey ! That escalated quickly......so before I get drawn into something that’s none of my business let me just make a couple of things clear: The only thing I’m into flattening these days is my dinner ! And nothing Max has ever said to me would make me feel angry in that way towards the bloke and I’m sure he feels exactly the same. We exchange some banter, some strong opinions and a few friendly (and sometimes not so friendly) insults.....that’s it and that’s all ......no skin off anyones nose as far as I can see. just for the record

  43. So not so proper dog men after all then! I’ve seen a few times over the years we’re so called proper dog men breed a litter An think there reputation as good dog men or status in the game automatically means good reared pups Some of the time these dudes think corners can be cut to save on rearing cost An miner detail in rearing because of status in the game they think that breeding alone or how much gear the parents seen is a sure thing on end result of quality litter. In my eyes all aspects have to be in order in a litter quality and condition has to shine through in the parents and pups alik

A lot of gyms are getting into it mate our gym here has 14 competition tables and we have training nights twice per week......messing about with your pals across the dining table will teach you nothing and is dangerous. Its more about tendon strength than muscle strength but of course everything helps.....you have to be strong in the whole arm from fingertips to shoulder, strong lats, strong abs, they are all going to come into play.....a perfectly built arm wrestler will have toothpicks for legs and carry all his power up top......but its mostly about the connections you can make between mu
