  1. These are a couple of photos I’ve dug out from the old family albums. These were owned by my great grandad. Photos of both terriers were taken around 1910 in Derbyshire. Hope they are of interest.

  3. The place was a shit hole and I’m glad it’s closed down ... it was a giant fukcing puppy farm with the stud dogs never coming off their chains ... the brood bitches never leaving their pens .... pups that were churned out for profit fed on shit food with no socialisation and bigged up beyond belief.........

  4. The best dog I ever had isn’t the dog I’d have again given the chance. Having a proper connection with a lurcher is a special thing and has been harder to replace for me than getting a lurcher to do what I need it to.

  7. Sometimes you think you have a good dog until you actually see a proper one in action. Memories will play tricks on you and a fondness for a past dog can make you exaggerate their exploits when they were probably just average. Sometimes the best ones were frustrating Cnuts that didn't want to bond or curl up on the sofa with you and hunted for themselves and no one else. More of a useful tool than a companion but would catch more.

  11. So M. Verhoftwat; You say that if the UK does not settle its €39 billion bill it will not get a trade deal? Are you aware that the EU sells twice as much to the UK as the UK sells to the EU? How are you going to tell the German, French and Italian car makers that they can't sell anything to the UK because the UK won't pay something it doesn't legally have to? How are you going to tell the French and Spanish fishermen that they can't fish in UK waters after 31st October because your unreasonable demands will not be met? Let's put it another way M. Verhoftwat; How much are you going t

  14. Same thing that happened while May was in - f**k all. None of them want to leave and, none of them are capable of agreeing on how to deal with Brexit so, they'll keep frustrating any votes and kicking the leave date down the road in the hope that it will all quietly go away. One of the problems at the moment is Germanys economy - if they hit a recession and we haven't gone, you can guarantee that the parasitic EU will try to say that we're legally obliged to help with a big ol' bail out.

  15. One good dog in a lifetime is nothing more than a romantic old wives tale. There are enough gullible characters on here and in the game who will believe it though.

  23. They have been doing it for years mate without any consultation and even outright lying to deny what they have been up to so any request they grant you would probably be a load of bullshit anyways ??? when they were releasing otters all over the Somerset levels at the end of the 90s early 00s the impact on fisheries was immense but rather than consultation and debate they chose to go on national tv and deny that any otters had been released even after a fisheries owner had a dead one scanned and found a chip in its neck from rspca west hatch Taunton, and within the last 5 years the polecat

  24. For one moment I don’t believe Hancocks kennels was full of top bred greyhounds that sustained a injury that’s why it found it’s self being a brood for handjob top winners that are injured that can still produce top winners will stay with the kennel that run the dog to produce the next wave of winners Hancocks kennels was full of cast greyhounds that couldn’t produce any consistency at the kennel or on the track or injury prone that’s why they were cast in the first place or ex syndicate dogs that came under the same category’s

  27. Memory plays funny tricks on you, I've had a couple of good, nay great dogs in the last 40 years but one man's gold is another man's trash. As Ive got older I value different things in a dog, my old white cur is the best I've had in certain respects but couldn't hold a candle to some I've had in the past in many other respects but the main thing imo is to utilise any particular dogs qualities and most of all, enjoy your dogs! Cheers, D.
