Took a rested shot at a dark varmint, must of been just over 100yds and when it's buddy landed to investigate I got that too! Only seen three squirrels today and two of them fell. One fanged my dog in its final moments, fair do I guess. She is to dumb to put a good crunch in first!

  11. At 52 you won't lift what you could at 32 or 42 without injury. I'm only 38 and I find I can't do what I could do 5 year ago. When I was heavier I could lift more but I find now that I accept it I'd leave my ego behind and try keep my weight down and eat better and improve cardio. Soon as you hit 40 it's time to start looking after your heart. I don't have a great lifestyle or concentrate on diet. It was just by chance I ended up eating rice and chicken and cycling for 2 weeks but I can tell you this. My cardio doubled and I could start to see abs that I haven't seen since I was 18 in that sho

I watched it there earlier ,the faces on the men on it wouldn't stand out down my local .they've been living in the same place for 20000 years ,long before the first celt existed.Their language isn't related to any other language on the planet.Irish ,English and Scottish people have a good dash of Basque in them (welsh don't for some reason (pure celts maybe). No Greek or Roman writer called the inhabitants of Britain or Ireland celts though, Celtic identity exaggerated by academics in the late 19th century to stir shitt (a bit like Hitler with the Aryan stuff)

  24. 'Life' gets in the way for an awful lot of people when they hit 30+ and they tend to 'settle' and ease off then maybe 5-10-15 years later they have an urge to hit it again and regain a bit of that youthful masculinity they have lost. Very typical behaviour but I wonder how detrimental that break is compared to simply ageing? I read the headline of a stud recently that concluded that age really isn't that big of a problem, it simply correlates with people tending to get lazy as the age and it is the break in adult life that is the killer. My mind is full of this shit. It's a f***ing mess!

  25. Thing is mate, that junk is designed to make you crave it......now I’m not preaching because I’m the worlds worst if I get sidetracked into a take away but mainly I cook fresh everything even down to sauces. And of late, the thought of eating McDonalds or fried chicken or what have you just makes me feel bad because I understand it’s pure filth. its harder than you think to eat right when you start looking at the crap they put into food......especially “diet” or “low fat” packaged food. But all packed food is full of crap to some extent, from a tin of beans to pasta sauce.

  26. Always the way isn't it. I bred the first litter from razor and kept the first born bitch whom I planned to eventually breed of. I had too much fun running her and unfortunately lost her at 5 years old. It wasent to be. I have a bitch here now at 15 months who is raring to go, razor is her grandfather on both sides. Glad to here some of his offspring are producing aswell as having done the business!

  27. So me and the long one had a trip up to the shoot for a go at the foxes, apparently next doors shoot took 4 last night, so heading over to the cut barley and rape we thought we were in with a good chance, sadly when we got there the farm lads were still working the fields and had been most of the day, bailing and muck spreading , we gave it 40 mins or so with the caller at the bottom of the rape field with no luck, moved up to the barley with the same result, I think if we had put in a night shift we could of produced a couple from here but sadly we have to work for a living, heading back to t

  31. Well it comes round quicker every year, with the birds due to go in after the weekend I’ve been up to the shoot to sort the electric fences out, with us been a small shoot and not having a full time keeper our birds go in a bit older and a good few weeks later than the larger shoots, all that’s left to do now is the fresh water and now the oilseed rape is down sort the foxes out between the 3 of us that shoot them up here, the lad on next doors shoot is out tonight and it’s my turn tomorrow, over the end of winter and into early spring, forestry have been thinning the timber out over much of t

  32. For me personally, and I never did weights, but it’s more a come back to doing stuff type thing. A change in work and finally retirement from something very physical also assisted my decline......it also took its toll on my back. Add to which in my playing days I was training 3 times a week then playing games Saturday & Sunday. I have ticked along still playing football since I stopped playing seriously but not enough and not at a good enough level. Add all that to a love of food and cooking and it all adds up to I got too fat. So now it’s a question of tweaking wh

  35. If the referees do their job the kings move is as legitimate as anything else......newcomers to arm wrestling always view it as just stretching your arm out to put the brakes on,the big mistake new lads make is focusing too much on the pin line.....its like anything else in sport you have to defend your weaknesses before you can attack with your strengths i always equate it to a fight.....the kings move is the Rumble in the Jungle, the rope a dope.....Ali used Foremans superior power against him. Years ago the KIngs move was a foul,as was looking away from a hyperextended arm....it was a f

  40. Well it's different for me. I have shoots all around me but being a loner and anti social weirdo I just keep on top of vermin and then I get birds walking of shoots looking for peace. I do have some wild birds on me but their young get hammered by buzzards and fox's. I have to hope a few fresh hens appear and settle in the wild ones and just take the cocks. No I don't get any driven birds but I still get to hunt them with my dog and often with flint or cap lock which makes it special. So thanks gents for the odd bird or two ?

  41. Good luck . I’m waiting on the wheat harvest here. They reckon it’s about a week and a half away. I’ve not seen a fox or had any problems with them for ages now ( touch wood ?) I hammered the cubs early, killed mum and dad and removed the cubs . I had five litters on the estate that I knew of and it’s certainly paid off this year . It’s no fun from a shooting perspective cos I’m itching to pull the trigger, but I’ve always got the chicken farm. It’s amazing how settled the poults are around the pens and in the cover without those ginger C@@ts hassling them . Still I can’t rest on my laurels ju

  45. Thats one of the pitfalls of providing a quality product, eventually your at capacity but the work still keeps coming. I do everything myself, I have zero help with anything at all, im up until the early hours every day welding, rigging, wrapping, booking couriers and trying to keep on top of things but sometimes it gets too much for one man. Between all that I have to squeeze in some enjoyment, I couldn't call myself a longnetter if I didnt get out and do a bit with the webs. Unfortunately I only manged a few trips last season before a bad car crash ruined my back and put a stop to everything
