Just came back from one of the best holidays I've had, a week at portfield on mull. Stunning place, isolated and wild, no electricity or wifi. While there i saw a pair of white tail eagles and found a feather a mile or so on from one, otters, ravens, seals, peregrine and a goshawk missing it's strike on a rabbit. All seen within a mile of the house. The place was heaving with rabbits with at least half all black. Also had a free range herd of cows and young bullocks and the biggest bull i have ever seen as neighbours, right around the house at times rubbing on drainpipes and a pain in the arse11 points

....tonight. I was eager to try a new homeload that involves ramming 3/4oz into a 2&1/2" case! They weren't that good to be honest. They need a bit more wad I think so I will drop the shot from 19 g to about 17 but add some more card wads. Anyway I got a couple ironically with one shot! That's how much spread these are doing!!4 points

remember heading out at 6 on a winters night in my mk2 escort, and lamping willy nilly anywhere i fancied ,no houses in lots of places and even if the farmer did come out ,you'd end up chatting for an hour or more loosing valuable hunting time ...i try to explaing the ways it used to be to my son ,but he just looks at me with disdain,lol..those days were some of the best ,most enjoyable times of my life i must say ,lots of rabbits and little barriers to stop you ..the thing i remeber most is the frosty nights ,and your breath like smoke bellowing from your mouth and the pitch blackness of it al4 points

follow this section quite a lot as I enjoy reading about what you all get upto on your foxing sessions!! I put off putting myself out there regarding foxing as I like me bed and am not to keen on nightshifts with starting work early... been out a few times with a mate lately though but only used the 12's as we generally get into the black stuff as the sun rises! I won't get into the perm situation as its not mine and I get invited, all ill say is it gets poached quite a bit and the potshot possy are shite and the foxes have wised up hence the hiding ambush approach! s3 points

I think the important thing to remember is that it is a majority of the biggest turnout ever in a vote that want Brexit.....no the UK government, no the EU, not Varadkar but ordinary people. And there should be absolutely NO QUESTION of second guessing the outcome of a democratic vote made by ordinary people if you want to hold on to some semblance of freedom from government. The number one priority for any politician who still believes in freedom should be making sure the result is implemented.......because we are all in Europe and if our vote don’t matter then your vote dont matter3 points

It's not the miracle cure it's made out to be, my cousins grandad hasn't got long left to live and could be any day now. He tried going down that route, at first the cannabis I believe did shrink the tumours but it has now come back tenfold, maybe it was just the medication that helped. I think listening to Facebook stories is not the way to go, doctors do tend to know what they're talking about and are not involved in some sick conspiracy.3 points

We are the same over this way, we are waiting for the rape to come down around the shoot and a couple of farms, everything is running a bit late this year with not getting long enough breaks in the weather over the last week or so, all the barley is down now so that’s giving us a few to go at, it must of been a good year for them as there’s a couple of places that we only ever seen the odd one or two over the winter where they have now taken up residents2 points

Remember being out lamping with a cousin one frosty night and a fox started squealing the other side of hedge about 20 yards away. He didn't know what it was. He nearly shit himself and asked me was that a banshee wailing. I told him I couldn't hear any noise and he was imagining things. ??? Never seen a 20 year old lad to want to leave a field as quick.2 points

It will be no bad thing if the UK shrinks and there isn’t as much money floating around. As it stands there are many places not fit to live, too many people and too much “stuff”.......if it carries on it will be completely ruined. If it makes half the economic migrants relocate it will have all been worth it. Ireland is a nice place to live and that is in no small measure down to the fact that nobody wants to come here and many want (or have) to leave.......it’s poorer (in world terms) and so much richer (in human terms) for being so. If the UK could shift 10 million people2 points

Used to have a MKII Granada estate, twin webbers, old sweeny 70s classic, could hear the carbs sucking the fuel in, was a beast and did about 12 MPG, I'd happily have one again. Fond memories of taking it around round abouts sideways ?2 points

Well the 3" 52g #0 work....kind of! Spotted a twitchy fox at 200yds and I started to move in using a dark tree line for cover. She moved away and I followed. She seemed to stop and start catching beetles so I got down on my knees and started to squeal via my hand. She moved closer cautiously. I squealed again and she came closer. One more squeal and she kept coming, but going around me to wind me. As she got close to winding me I aimed at her with the hatsan. Pointing the gun 180° from her original position I held the bead on her and said "Bernard thats 50yds" and so I trip2 points

fs grow a brain........ha ha .........it was a joke that you didnt get..!!!!! I did think it was good news the two lads with the lurcher, air rifle and bag of rabbits were released without charge. Why they were released without further action when the whole point of half the show was to catch and deter poaching. Rabbits currently not affected by disease................and my tea..2 points
