  2. remember heading out at 6 on a winters night in my mk2 escort, and lamping willy nilly anywhere i fancied ,no houses in lots of places and even if the farmer did come out ,you'd end up chatting for an hour or more loosing valuable hunting time ...i try to explaing the ways it used to be to my son ,but he just looks at me with disdain,lol..those days were some of the best ,most enjoyable times of my life i must say ,lots of rabbits and little barriers to stop you ..the thing i remeber most is the frosty nights ,and your breath like smoke bellowing from your mouth and the pitch blackness of it al

  9. Come on Mick you sound like a well read guy that keeps up with all the goings on,i like listening to your posts as you follow things i cant be arsed to follow.....but you cant give Fury another pass with this nonsense its an embarrassing match up that cannot be defended......its so laughable i dont know where to start, personally i think these kind of fights are a big risk to a mentally fragile fighter as you worry about the focus/motivation/desire.....its difficult to stay motivated for fights that you know are not going to be competitive, you lose your edge as a fighter....its just silly to ta

  12. Used to have a MKII Granada estate, twin webbers, old sweeny 70s classic, could hear the carbs sucking the fuel in, was a beast and did about 12 MPG, I'd happily have one again. Fond memories of taking it around round abouts sideways ?

  16. I've only got a bridge camera these days. Can't compete with Pinnacle & Arry's beautiful macro shots, but I still enjoy a bit of nature photography. I got the urge again this evening. That's about as much as I can manage these days. I found an old shot from about 10 years ago on the old compute from the days when I used to have a decent macro set-up.......

  25. Still have my dads lamp from the 1980s. Coleman head with a deben 17amp battery in metal case with dimmer . Large motorbike battery. My cousin brought it home from England at the time and it was the best thing on the market at the time. I think he spent £300 on the kit at the time which would of bought a small car. I broke several lamps since but that Coleman head is still working 30 years later and a few that used it are dead and gone now.

  29. Your photos are very good. Looks like mine is a much older version of the one that you have. It is fine for most things but tracking fast moving targets, particularly in macro focus mode isn't good. Scenic, landscape and still life shots I can't grumble at. Can't justify the €600 needed to buy the latest version. I've always been into photography and done quite well in competitions and even sold a few photos to magazines until 2006 when a serious eye injury meant that I couldn't use a view finder. That condition lasted about two years so I sold all I had in film cameras and the Fuji

  31. Well the 3" 52g #0 work....kind of! Spotted a twitchy fox at 200yds and I started to move in using a dark tree line for cover. She moved away and I followed. She seemed to stop and start catching beetles so I got down on my knees and started to squeal via my hand. She moved closer cautiously. I squealed again and she came closer. One more squeal and she kept coming, but going around me to wind me. As she got close to winding me I aimed at her with the hatsan. Pointing the gun 180° from her original position I held the bead on her and said "Bernard thats 50yds" and so I trip

  33. Farmers have a bad experience it ruins it for every one. If they have never had a issue and they see a lamp they won't bother. On the other hand if they have then look out lol. As a young lad some idiot left a gate open which I got the blame for. Hard to reason with a landrover baring down on you with full beam. I gave him 10/10 for effort mind driving down a rough old track with no lights and sneaking in the field. I did find it a bit amusing when he was fing and blinding out the window but couldn't stop on the slope and went sliding by ? Which gave me the window i needed to hit the cover

It’s normally around about 1055 to 1058 ABV ( alcohol by volume ) when I first chuck the hydrometer in after pressing, and after it’s all fermented out it returns about 6% but it varies year to year depending how much fructose the fruit is holding, I only do enough for myself to tick over during the summer I’ve been making it for years with my trusty Vigo press. Theres some good threads in the living off the land section Mole trapper used to make a lot and I’ve put up some pics from start to finish it’s a very satisfying hobby albeit hard graft.

Your the one who has the problem with the judge so I thought you might feel you were better qualified to hand out rosettes than him or anyone else at that matter.........a bit jealous maybe??? As seeing you think you know me ???
