  2. Few of you might remember my old bedo/grey x saluki/grey from over the years on here.....she lives at my parents house and comes to mine whenever they go away in the caravan now as she doesn’t like the long journeys in the car, last time I had her I ran her up the vets for a check over and turns out she is 18 next April which is a good age! I’ve had her since I was 18 and I probably learned more about dogs and hunting with her than any other dog I’ll ever own! Countless miles day and night, good Lamper and ferreting dog and not bad on hares in the day either back when it was legal to course th

  3. If I remember right I think it started over a prize JB hadn't given over......nothing unusual there. JB was walking along the terrier ring talking to me and GM, the lad approached him, the lad had a few mates with him, JB had no one. I could see his mates weighing up if me and GM were part of the equation but I can guarantee that we never were. For those of you thinking that you'd of done it a different way, a gentlemanly nod to a different area for a little bit of Queensbury rules boxing then you've clearly never had a tear up. I'll say again, I'm not defending the man himself,

  4. Good old Geoff,...I judged his bitch Sally, at a prestigious lurcher show, many years back... I awarded her Supreme Champion... As I handed him, the coveted Red rosette, he said to me, "I'm off to win the racing now"... He did just that...RIP Geoff Fletcher,.."King of the Sprinters"?

  5. Brought another go pro and got some good footage from a local quarry, the rabbits run in these long black water pipes and sit tight so you can lift the ones the dogs mark and get a run lol the one they chased here ran under the conveyer belt so she followed and smashed the lense cover off so it’s sent off for repair yet again.......I’ve found a proper harness now tho that protects the camera more so hopefully this won’t keep happening but it’s hard with working dogs!

  8. i personally think ,temperament isnt going to be an issue with this litter ,so i will ignore any comments on the matter ,i own the greyhound for the last few years ,shes just like most all other greyhounds ive experienced over the years, docile and wanting petting while still capable of running, the sire and i met just once in the yard of the farmer,he showed nothing but calmness and acceptance towards me and the son ,friendly wagging tail and that is the end of the issue ,so forget about their attitudes now ,its not going to be a matter to dwell on i reckon..,id bet my bottom dollar on it ,ive

  11. Dear Sir/Madame please note, as per our previous correspondence, that the current contract is for the translation of “Common Gobbledegook” into “Standard English” and is supplied to the THL on a voluntary basis by the Dylectic translation service. So once more can yourselves be reminded that unfortunately, at this time, we do not have the facilities to extend this service to other dialects, as in the case of this or the previous submission of “Localized Gibberish”, or this current one of "Colloquial Idiosyncratic Benightedness" so once again we must request that yourself an

  18. Last night I went for a wander with the adler stealth .410 it was a very still, bright and quiet night but very eventful! I saw a few shootings stars, had a partridge fly into my face, watched a tawny owl try catch a mouse and was watching badgers for a long while some as close as 5 yards - They where not bothered by me at all! I managed to get a video clip of one of the badger's excuse the quality my phone is old.... The adler was brilliant I just need some sort of sight for night use. I managed 5 rabbits but only 3 in the pic I took as I left 2 in the car from 1st lap. I can'

  19. Last night i went to a relatively new farm for me. I have been once before and shot a dog fox. The farmer said he has seen three foxes eating a dead lamb so could i have a look. I didn't get there till eleven because my mates wife was at the pictures till late on and he had to look after their daughter. When we arrived we parked up near the top of a big sloping field which gives you a really good area to scan over. At the bottom of the field there is a wood which is around seven hundred yards away. Well i tried all the favourite calls and more besides but nothing showed apart from hares. After

Another hour out and another 5 hoppers, all taken along the edge of the crop, the barley is looking about 2 weeks off coming down and the oil seed rape has been sprayed off so not long to wait now for some summer foxing and the mad couple of weeks where the rabbits have no idea what has happened ?

  33. For field use I do not need single hole groups, PPU (PRVI) SP delivers 1" in my .223, .243 and .308, terminal effect is just fine as well, that does for me. Check weight as well, 90g seems to have the edge over 100g in my .243.

  34. Like Stavross said Sako are a decent factory load . I always swore by them . But factory ammo is expensive and not as good as home loads. The initial expenditure on all the kit is a lot , and it will probably take me years to reap any financial benefit. I got second hand bits and bobs off eBay . RCBS is a good name to look out for . I watched a load of videos on YouTube and went over to a friends house and went through the process on his kit as well . It’s not the dark art some would have you believe, it’s actually easy , and if I can do it , anybody can do it . I have had excellent results, w
