  1. Unfortunately this one is no longer with me but from my limited experience I'd say the gwp offers a lot more than the rabbiting I did with mine

  3. Simon is a good lad and has always been a great ambassador for the sport. I doubt whether this is aimed at experienced ferreters probably more for people into some sort of field sport but have never tried ferreting. People are happy to pay three times what he is charging to shoot fukcing wood chickens flying 10 foot above their heads so what’s the big deal ......

  4. i have met simon many times...I cant say as I thought he was up himself....always came across a good chap....even had him at my house picking up some kits years ago...as well as putting me in touch with a guy from English herratige for some paid rabbit control work..... now I know simon has worked as a paid rabbit catcher for many years......so I dowt hes paying for permission....and I think has diversified a bit with youtube channel..book writing and cookery I think..or that might be his mrs... in the summer he does the gamfairs with his demo....so I suppose he has to come across as an e

  5. I don't think it ends debate, it would be nice if it ended the crabbing of anything different to what people personally know but thats probably a bit much to ask lol. There's plenty to talk about, I love hearing about other people's hunting. I quite often travel about to experience it too. That's how I know that different crosses, training / entering methods etc give different results tailored to the hunting of the owner. I've been places where my dogs were made look silly by the locals and I've had dogs out with me that made hard work of what mine do as a matter of course. How much

  8. Picked up my new FX Impact yesterday .25 FAC 700 mm barrel . Pellet testing and setting up with a fine tune yesterday afternoon with AA FIELDS 25.4 gr and JSB heavies 34 gr . AA fields running @ 990 fps just over 55 ft/lbs and 34 gr running@ 892 fps 60 ft/lbs REG SETTING 145 bar on both pellets IMO THESE IMPACTS ARE ONE OF THE BEST FAC AIRGUNS , if not the best . HOW MANY OTHER GUNS CAN YOU TUNE LIKE THAT, APART FROM THE CROWN AND DREAMLINER !!

  10. Cracks me up how blinkered some can be. We all hunt in different ways on different terrains in different parts of the country, how can a man at one end the country comment on whether or not a particular cross is any good elsewhere? A dog thats suits me here would be no good for someone who's hunting an open moor and nor would I want a dog that excels at hunting a long distance out. Doesn't mean either is no good just not necessarily suited to the local terrain. A lurcher is alot of things to alot of people, they aren't one tricks ponies and different tasks suit different crosses. How

No its a case of you think this type started with Breay and Buck it didn't, i have book that describe one of Tommy Dobsons Terriers and it would fit happelly in my kennell now , photo taken 1912 ish , i'm putting pen to paper it all be there sorry i pressed enter before i had finished my post look at the dog in the background maybe some guy who just dug to his dogs kept a line , just work no show , and his blood was used as outcross by the famous

  12. Why put any breed on a running dog? what does a collie or a bull add? The GWP cross would be a purpose bred day dog (in my opinion). If you haven't seen GWP's work then you probably wouldn't understand what they would add. They are a hunting machine with bottomless stamina. Basically strength, stamina, robustness, nose, biddability and heart. They would make a great daytime dog for hill type country as has been proven in the past.

  15. all depends on what you call hunting as for up & down hedgerows, dykes etc a lurcher will do but down here where I live on open hill they would go missing you want houndx, gwpx or colliex which all have good feet, stamina, nose etc which they need to find or catch a fox plus you won't just walk on a fox down here you need a dog that is willing to cast out for miles on most of the time to find a fox & if you get chance watch Andrew Edwards vids on YouTube or buy his dvds thats what you call day time hunting!!! as for all round lurcher for lamping, ferreting, mooching etc i honestly think ther

  20. Any of you guys got one and need a couple of spare magazines? I have been having a sort out and found a couple of mags from my old 511 . I understand they are like the proverbial “rocking horse poo” these days . I don’t want anything for them , I would just like another forum user who genuinely has one to have them and not someone who will stick them on EBay ( I could do that ) . PM me if you are interested. 22. You are right he wasnt a nice fighter or a nice man look at some of the personal things he said to Ray Leonard....and that was the smarts of Leonard he used all that and out thought his opponents,he knew how humiliating it would be to the macho image Duran had to be mocked,he knew he could no mas him. No you cant condone his dirty tactics but boy could he fight....i quite like the fact he didnt try to be anything other than what he was a spiteful, horrible brute ?

Just out of interest for any of the fitness/strength chaps on here this is a lad i met in Poland years ago Oleg Zhokh he was an up and coming prospect,as soon as i wrapped hands with him i knew something was amiss he was only 16 and he wiped the floor with me....having kept an eye on him over the years he has beaten some of the biggest names in the sport this clip was when he was 19 he wins his weight category and then ends up beating Zelimkhan Zankarhanov who was Champion at the time.....As a teenager Oleg was beating some of the worlds best arm wrestlers often giving away 5/6 stone in weight

  29. Also, let's not forget that as well as totally quitting 100%, duran was dirty as f**k when things weren't going his way. In his fight with ken buchanan, he continually threw low blows from the 1st round onwards, but was warned only once for it, in the 12th round! After the bell at the end of the 13th, he hit buchanan low so hard he ruptured one of his testicles and should've been disqualified but they gave him the win!! Whenever I hear people say 'the four kings' I cringe. Three kings definitely, hagler, leonard and hearns. Duran was a dirty fighter his whole career

  35. Well as the weather has put a stop to my night out foxing and I’m now half way through a bottle of jd I thought I’d share with you something that saddened me today, this morning before work I thought I’d treat myself to a sausage sandwich for a posh butchers in my local village, as I was in there waiting to be served I was looking out the window at the duck pond, I noticed a few duckling that were been bothered by crows, now the owner of the butchers seen me watching them and said to me them b*****ds have just about wiped them out, he said as soon as they come off the water they are at them, h
