  1. Didn't know there was no Memorial to the 22000 + British that died on D-Day. You think the French might have done something as a thank you to them men. Can't understand the French attitude towards us where as the Dutch I always found friendly. While hitch hiking years ago in Holland a guy stopped for me and my pal "said were you going" "Hook of Holland "I said "sorry he said not going that way" "that okay". It was a road straight as a die, he was way off in the distance when I said he's reversing back and he was. He stopped and said get in "I will take you there" "no mate it's okay we are

  9. I often get emails asking about job vacancies and advice about getting into pest control. Recently a member on here sent me a message asking advice about courses and starting working in pest control. I thought I'd answer his question on here then other members may like to offer their opinion, or even tell me if I'm talking rubbish. Also others will have more experience with training etc. Once upon a time the big companies would take on switched on lads with a bit of practical experience and then put them through the courses and qualifications. It seems to me these days that if you want t

  10. I was watching some of the coverage , and interviews with veterans, We owe those guys so much . Then the BBC couldn’t help but get all anti Brexit and got their little remain message in . They were interviewing this old girl , who was pro remain and quoted Macron who told Trump “America is only great when it works with its allies “. America was working with its allies “us” and after Brexit it could work with us even more . They were trying to say how we have been apart of Europe for so long and it’s all a great shame that we are leaving. The truth is we were fighting the genocidal Germans , th

  16. The new buzzword seems to be 'Pest Management' rather than Control. Like you say, sales skills are more important nowadays. In today's corporate world it's more about selling peace of mind and compliance rather than actually killing anything. I'll stick with my moles. In fact, when my PL next comes round for renewal I'm thinking I'll have them take rodenticides off the policy. Moles, wasps, squirrels and rabbits. Won't make me rich but sure as hell a lot less hassle and what I enjoy anyway.

  17. Good article that......can you find the one where the old veteran said he was glad his pals got slaughtered in their thousands so that we could have transgender toilets, 35 year mortgages and a debt that his great grandchildren’s great grandchildren will still be paying off ?

  21. The yanks kill boar with a 22lr . If you put the bullet in the right place a 243 will kill anything, there is no reason a 223 wouldn’t, it can kill a roe deer in Scotland but not in England, they must breed them soft up there .?

  22. What I was trying to say Sandy 75 years on and only just a Memorial that's being paid for by the British, and some French people protesting about that. You think the French would have put up a Memorial on every beach to respect the men that fell so they could have their freedom and country back. Cheers Arry

  25. Other than the rimmy I do only have one rifle for everything. The 25-06. No desire to get in another either. I'd be confident in that calibre for anything found on these isles. It's not too much for fox and it's not too little for the largest stuff. It's a lot like a 243 really......... just better.

Well i had a good talk with one of the lads from the fire arms department to day he was very help full in deed even told me what to do to make the room extra safe and what the concerns were regarding my sons past and what to put down on the forms explaining every thing from what happened (some of the lads know but im not putting it on here) it may be a case of storing the rifles some where else but if i were to put extra security in place they may except it but not a 100% sure ,,he would have to talk to his boss told him i wanted fac air and shot gun only He

  28. well done beany, I bred a litter from a very good fast first cross saluki greyhound bitch that I bred myself, I put her to a top class open race dog, and kept two bitches back one killed its self at a year old running into something and the other at about four doing the same, they could kill a hare in a bend or two and looked awesome, but they had no wind, and their feet were shocking, I put the same bitch to a well known pure saluki and got fast feathered pups, the bitch I kept was a five out of five bitch, and was at home on any land was never injured and lived to 15.

  30. The sire has put a lot of stuff to bed and sired some good dogs. The dam i dont know to much about but looked a capable dog. she was only 2 year old when she was in pup the mating was accidental not a planed affair. The reason behind me taking one of these pups was i had just lost a picardy cross that left a big impression on me, and these pups came up a week after losing him sort of seemed meant to be and there ends the story lol

They dont give out Olympic golds and world titles Sid you have to keep it realistic....is he good compared to Ali/Frazier/Louis etc no.....is he good enough to be around the top of todays crop yes of course he is he,s proved that.....i dont rate any of todays heavyweights compared to other eras but i also dont think any of them can dominate. if Joshua,Wilder,Fury,Ruiz even Dillian Whyte all fought each other 10 times each they would probably all come out about even infact id still fancy Joshua to beat Fury more times than he would lose to him as Fury is made for his style Fury doesnt tak
