The asians of my generation are not a problem, but those of the age of 30,ish and younger are of a totally different attitudes, in certain areas tommy may be blowing it of proportion, but in other areas he's got it bang on, and the areas he's got bang will come to an area near you sooner or later. But for the people who's area does not have a problem don't see a problem.........................but they will in time

  4. Title was "Something different", based on consideration of getting a coursing dogs, not sure where all this fits in? Like a nosy neighbor tattling over the fence cause next door is looking to get a new telly. Major lack of mention of coursing dogs................................................ Major preponderance of grousing, perhaps the shooting section would be suitable????????????????????????????????? ?

  8. Well after 13years at the same firm making money for someone else I have decided to go for it with my own business. I have secured a short term freelance contract that should see a good start and get money through the books along with a fair bit of other works that I will manage from a distance. Actually set my business up about 11 months ago with a target of being employed by the business before end of this summer so on target so far. Bit nervous as I've always had secure employment but I haven't been happy for a few years and it's not the way to carry on. Put my notice in today, shit or

I noticed the title to the thread and I’m having a cup of tea out of my new mug my Mrs got me , an appropriate drinking vessel for people such as us !

  12. My bitch Heidi is approx 5 weeks in pup confirmed by a scan last week. She is out of a tall racey collie grey, whippet grey bitch with a touch of deerhound owned by D. Poxon and her sire was a serious bedlington greyhound "Gyp". She had a decent season but called it short early due to an injury so made the decision to breed her now whilst she has the summer off. Sire is a serious dog himself out of a primarily deerhound greyhound bitch with a touch of collie and whippet, and his sire was a huntsmans bedlington x greyhound. This dog does the business daytime and on the lamp, s

I took a good few hoppers from it the other night before it got dark. All sat out grazing in the sun The feild was no different today, full of the little feckers. There is a wood along the feild and it looks like a war zone with holes everywhere. I got myself into a nice spot a started to pick a few off, shed loads of young ones about. Took 4 in an hour and a half, 3 scrappers and a fat milky doe ( doe not in pic forgot to a

I’m not really mate, I have met and know some cracking big girls.....many times more attractive when their personality shines through than some of these hatchet faced wanna be wags with bugles like builders elbows.! But I’m guessing that in this particular instance, any bird that finds this f***ing nerd a bit of alright is an annoying fat c**t. And I should know, I’m a bit of an annoying fat c**t myself !

Noise just to my right, fox trotting up tramline, oblivious to me, pops about about 15 yds from my right handside, we both just stopped still staring at each other, could see Charlie's eyes saying "oh bollocks"!! I whistled dogs as fox turned tail but nothing to report. Always the way.

  21. ....in a .45"! You bet. Bought some .36" ball and tipped five down the tube. Three rabbits for five shots. 1st bunny shot at 49 paces. Sorry for the gore, struck a bleeder. Shoots lower but plenty of power. Seems to string vertically but good zero windage wise. Completely over the top for lead consumption but heck I would not like to be a fox or something a little larger if called upon to beyond 40yds! SD.

I’m flexible on days and times, I just need these pests cleared. It’s getting quite dangerous at the ground with all the scrapes in the outfield. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  30. It doesn't make sense not compensating farmers. Even if farmers were taking the piss and claimed for 400 lambs between them on that island at 100 quid a pop(40,000) the government won't pay but would happily pay maybe 3 wildlife rangers costing 50,000 each including vehicles to protect the birds at a cost of 150,000 per year. Pay the men and bring them on board for support. Everyone would like to see a wild eagle once in their lifetime. Killarney national park in county Kerry (Ireland) has 40 wildlife rangers at what cost? Because most of them do fcuk all. Every reintroduction of eagles has fa

I've found this thread of yours very interesting regarding what you hunt and how you hunt with these dogs, and I hope you keep posting, but for ffs you need to lighten up, not everybody might agree with you or swing off the dogos dick, you will get negativity on every thread, and peoples opinions differ. Take time to read peoples responses and absorb their opinions and lighten up. atb......... Del

  32. I’ve never seen him , but he obviously knows what tastes good . My grandad used to love young rabbits done like that , I used to pop them off with an air rifle (BSA meteor) and proudly take them to him to cook . He used bacon fat which he kept ( he topped up a pot when he drained the fat off bacon he cooked) I’m amazed he lived as long as he did , because he wasn’t the most hygienic man and usually had a woodbine dripping ash in the pan as well . But I don’t know if it’s me being silly , but they tasted far better than the ones I’ve done for myself. RIP old Bill

  35. There is a place where I have a go at “squeaking/calling “, it overlooks a large bowl of land and offers a great vantage point with a rifle . The problem I have had in the past is foxes creeping along the hedge and wall and just appearing about 5 meters in front of me , they have a quick look and then they are off . An easy shot with a shotgun . So when I go there now , I take the shotgun and rifle and keep the shotgun ready while I’m calling..... guess what ? They haven’t done it since, but they will .

  36. Well the farmers I shoot for, tell me to "thin" out the crows. And they don't give a shit about pigeons, or Chris Packham come to that! We have tried scaring the birds off but, that lasts for only moments before they are back worrying the sheep and lambs or the pigeons descend back onto the crops.. If you trap them, then what? Release them, only to have them go attacking livestock again? The only effective control is shooting them. I don't want to get into trouble with the law and have my rifles confiscated. What are we supposed to do? It's alright saying the police won

Lol . imo is just like any good line/type..may that be black white chocs or even a different variation..not really a breed per say . because lets be honest they will be when looked back far enough a mix of a lot of things from a long time ago.. if it's a well established line they will be breeding to type as in first and foremost work, then after a while they all start looking like peas in a pod if done correctly... for example if 30 years ago you were into terriers and you were at a show you could tell a gould terrier..not a diluted orange juice that the masse
