  1. My old black dog is 14 now and as fat as a lab retired up in my old mans. I have him for the next week whilst he’s away on holiday, took him a wander today and the tail was still up and wagging away. Here’s a few pics from over the years

  3. 12 years? I've got collars and leads I've had longer than that ffs. Who are you to tell someone they shouldn't breed their dogs? Especially someone who talks sensibly, not like the drivel you come out with. Fecking clown! Cheers, D.

  4. Just seems like a he’s trying to buy his way into the coursing game for bragging rights and wouldn’t of give the hares a second thought if it wasn’t illegal, why else would he be on here spilling his guts about what he gets up to. Another brain dead Facebook warrior.

  5. they look well enough bred looking at what was put up, I have had some that could kill a hare by 7 or 8 months but my best ever never looked like killing one till it was 2 then never stoped, you cant judge one dog on what another didsome pups need time, experience will teach you this, and how to be patient, I know lads that got rid early and bought the same dog back for big money a year or two on.

  6. Yes your dead right young fellow, I know of a few who have had dogs 30 odd years and still know the same as the first day that started out ? But you can't get experience overnight.

  7. I know a shit load of lads that are nothing but honest about their dogs be it lurcher, terrier or hound and are actually their own dogs biggest critics but then again they aren’t peddlers and ain’t trying to sell the dream to dreamers, you’ll realise at some stage that if you keep honest reliable company more than often honest reliable dogs come your way either free or for very little.

  10. I was fairly new to forums/Facebook at that time, always just kept myself to myself before that, didn’t realise the extent of the lies that get told on here & other places, even recently I’ve been reading comments on posts and the people writing them come across really keen & knowledgeable but the reality is a million miles away, dangerous place the internet

  17. There are 3 sides to every argument. Your side. Their side, and the truth. The sooner some of you lads learn that, the better your decisions will be. I spent decades "knowing" what I wanted. I've seen some good dogs been put under the sod on the back of such thinking. Some commenting on this thread need to learn what they need from a dog. Wants are for dreamers.

  22. The behaviour of some people is disgusting and they are not part of any shooting community I belong to, I can’t stand the man and when horrible things happen to him it gives me a warm feeling inside but these acts are not helping one bit, I’ve never been of the opinion that you should shoot it just because you can and there should always be a reason for doing so, on some of my permission we have jays, I don’t shoot these because they are not in significant numbers where as the magpies are a major problem, I feel if more people were aware of what’s around them then the different species could b

  23. loads of lies and bullshit with these coursing dogs....sounds like someone was sold a dream by another dreamer on here....? when are folks gonna learn..... you don't breed pups from pups.....no matter how good the dogs behind them.... knocking over a few bits first season is not testing a dog. ... anyone says different is a f***ing bare faced liar and a peddling cnut?

  24. Tried something new today. Only out for just under3 hrs. They came in very well, 9 down & couple of shocking misses. Definitely worth a try at this time of year. Breaking with tradition, I didn't add dead to make a pattern, intentionally just used one decoy & gave it large on the primos.

  26. I agree it doesn't help at all (although I had to smile at the woodcock in the article) The actions of a few serve to stereotype all shooters as a bunch of primitive yobs and that's not on. The issue I have with CP is his inability to recognise the service done to nature on an increasing crowded island by those who enjoy shooting sports. All the people I know who shoot live in the countryside and like me they have a deep love of nature and an interest in preserving it.

  27. Don't agree with that pal, start of season just gone I wasn't sure if my pup was quick enough didn't bother me to much as I smart dog can still catch but end of season he could cover alot of ground fast at 2 in June I think alot of people don't give there dogs a chance. That's my view anyway

  28. Anyone that says they’ve never been stung in one way or another is talking shit, those pups were looked after, taken out, ran and found to be no good & that was the end of that, no shame in admitting a dogs failed, if more people did it there would be less litters like that about in the first place, also a really good dog is a hard thing to find, sites like this would make you think they’re 10 a penny

  29. Kieran, your "speaking the truth" is basically your opinion, not based on facts. It aint the truth folks can't handle as you put it, it's something you think without actually knowing. You've jumped to conclusions about a lot of people, stating it to be the truth, when in fact you don't actually know do you? Try thinking before posting and showing some maturity instead of mouthing off like a spoiled kid.

  34. That’s what I believe, put enough time into a dog you should get the best out of it to do what you want it to do ,these that get rid over summer and can’t be arsed feeding etc like you say shouldn’t be getting them in the first place .no wonder stuff ends up been dumped and in re-homing kennels .heard plenty of stuff coming from kennels and been cracking little dogs think most of time when buying an older dog it’s not necessarily finding a diamond in the rough but seeing something what someone else doesn’t see and realising you know what I can work with that and get the best out of it too many

  35. As far as I know you can send your cert in and request an increase in ammo allocation without any cost. Tell them that it is an inconvenience to have to keep travelling a distance to get more ammo. a 200 rds allocation is a joke. I fail to understand why or how they mess about like this. If someone goes rogue what's it matter if you have 50 rds or 500 ? When you buy ammo tell the shop to use a new line every time and when your cert is full up send it back in because you need a new one because it is full up and that's why you need more. I have a large amount on hold and usually buy at le

  36. Return one of the best dogs I have seen was a lab grey to look at him you would probably laugh that dog took a serious amount of game and ran ground most would avoid same as don Fuji dog my old man always told me a wise man keeps a silent council maybe you should heed those words I have seen a lot of dogs over the years I won't own never mind breed from but there not mine I think it best you just concentrate on your dogs by the way you did never say how long you have been in the game
