  6. I personally probably wouldn’t but it would depend on the circumstances. To many lads try them once and get rid instead of giving them a few runs after all you have them for a year and a half what difference will an extra month make. If it works out all well and good if it doesn’t it’s only a bit of feeding. To many just to quick to pull the trigger

  7. If I'm ever gifted a pup and breed off it, the first thing I do is offer them pick of litter nothing less, luckily I know good lads who Ive known a long time.

  8. Gifting pups is a time honoured tradition in our neck of the woods. Pups are gifted to genuine honest lads we know to be in it for all the right reasons. Money never comes into it. The only stipulation is that if the terrier is going anywhere it comes back to the breeder other than that it's theirs to do with as they please. (Providing of course the animal is cared for properly.) This business of the breeder having a say in how or with whom it's bred is rubbish imo and wouldn't be tolerated round here...

  10. I was looking for a lurcher pup on here a few months back a decent fella offered me exactly what I was looking for free of charge we’ve kept in touch since then and he was trying to get back into a terrier or 2 and I gifted him a young unentered dog. I didn’t have to give him anything but he looked after me so why not look after him back. Down the line if I’ve spare pups it won’t cost me a taught to send him one.

  11. They shouldn’t ‘expect’ it, but what sort of c*nt would take a pup off someone for free and not want to return the favour in the future?

  12. If you look at Zimbabwe, one of the most fertile farming countries in the world . They kicked the whites out . If they were “workers “ why is it not still producing? Why is the country now f@@ked ? It’s an uncomfortable truth , but anyone who has spent time in Africa and around Africans will tell you that they have a different outlook on life . Life is cheap, they like to drink , sing , dance and f@@k and sleep . Without white men they revert to poverty. But we are judging them by our own standards, we wouldn’t want to live like that and so we think they shouldn’t. They seem happy enough.....

  13. I spent nearly 20 years living on the road as for want of a better word a hippy traveller and have lived in all sorts from Bender tents, bow top wagons to a double decker bus and by far it was the best years of my life. When my kids have all grown up and left the nest and are all sorted i'll end my days back on the road as it's a lot less hassle than the rat race of modern life full of it's crap we really don't need.... I will add that's a cracking old trailer marshman and any idea on make?,winchester or eccles maybe?...

  14. That dog could keep the family fed when things where tough I was told . the dog was a proper thief with no respect for boundaries lol . One time so the story goes they stopped over night and the dog goes off on its own for a mooch . Next morning plod looking around the trailers usual questions and said you ain’t got any lurchers have you ? No why’s that ? Oh there’s been a lurcher going about the village . When plod goes the dog comes out of the hedge with a duck in its mouth . They reckon it would hide if it see a policeman ? apparently the dog would take anything even a duck of the villag

  15. Went to a perm i havent been to for about 8 month and seen a load of rabbits, should be lifting with them at night so will have a go sometime soon, some good fields with wooded areas and plenty of scrub

  16. I managed to sneak out the other night for a wander on one my rabbit perms and there were quite a few about...... but........they were all coming out of the far hedge where you cant get to them without being seen as its one big field with just a slight dog leg in so i decided to just walk straight up to the dogleg, knowing they would all bolt, and they did, then got settled in tight into the hegeline at the bend in the hedge and waited. 15 mins and the first appeared at 43 yards. 1/2 a mildot at 6x mag and over he went. 10 mins later another came out of the same hole, went and sniffed his pal

  24. There’s lads I no keep getting bad pup after bad pup like they say. But if u ask me it’s all down to entering right in the right places at the right age. Don’t over face them and keep them winning there first season. In out as quick as u can then second season u can start putting time over them. Some lads will never have f**k all because they don’t no how to manage three pups. I’m not saying my way is the right way but it’s been good to me over the years. And the same lads doing all of the above still have nothing in there kennels

  25. I agree with what you lads are saying but if I had a bitch gifted and was worth breeding from and was from a line I would first seek the advice of the breeder as he knows the line best and take it from there and I would offer a pup back also but I would never be held to ransom over a gifted pup

  26. I don't know how long you have been into terriers RH or how many litters you've bred but I can assure you there are plenty of so called c**ts out there who never return the favour when gifted a pup, but when someone says to me this or that lad never offered me anything out of the pup they gifted, that's when things go downhill, so me personally I never "expect" anything and when I do that's when you know lads are decent.

  27. If the dog is entered on its own in a calm manner and dug to with a result there is little need for pegging out of any sort .I hate multiple dogs at a dig .
    4 points
  28. I do exactly the same FD and I've never taken a youngster to watch a dig in my life. Taking youngsters with an adult dog IMO puts them off what they should be doing, they'll either get intimidated by the older dogs or distracted by them.

  29. I’d have no bother buying a dog either luckily enough I’ve a few good lads about me that gift me everything I ever need and I’ll try return the favour when I bred. A few years back I lost a few workers and was down to the bare minimum on terriers. A mate of mine has the same dogs as me but his cousin had an 11 month old pup of him at the time. He herd my run of luck and he rang up and gifted me the bitch I only knew him to say well to at the time. A few years have passed and he’s found himself in the same boat as me and I gifted him 2 pups last year and since then I’ve found myself digging wit

  30. Well said Shane, that’s exactly how it should be. Lads shouldn’t have to be told the ‘rules’ of gifting pups but if they’re decent enough people it should come second nature to them to return a favour. And these lads that say they wouldn’t like a gifted pup because they like to do what they want with a dog, then that’s fair enough, just buy one from the ad mags and don’t whinge about struggling to get in the right circles.

Good for you, maybe you,ve never had any problems with them, maybe you,ve not lived around them....ive had my fair share of problems with the darkies over the years and in general i dislike them....but dont go feeling too sorry for them plenty of blacks despise us its just they are allowed to say so and we,re not.

  32. Thanks for the correction ould hand. If we ate a better diet more natural foods an fruits an veg i think our overall health would be better, the amount of processed food with next to no vit an minerals we eat is terrible.

  34. Whatever way you want to cut it black africans are just thick as shit.....how long do you need to get your act together i think the biggest problem with this white saviour lark is that these blacks have just become institutionalised ponces they dont need to do anything through the generations other than sit with their hand out the western world should never have given them money in the first place we should of given them wisdom/expertise and then traded with them.

  35. I come from Irish tinker and Southern English traveller/show people. Both grandads born in wagons.I guess I m doomed with that background! My dad had his own moral code. He would chore anything that wasnt tied down, but he genuinly never stole from the poor. One xmas we were strapped and my old fella stole the pet goose from a village pond. I can remember after Xmas the teacher dissing whoever had stolen the goose.I was only about 5 or 6 and I remember thinking it couldnt have been that bad a thing to do because it tasted nice and gave us all a good day. I knew enough to keep quiet though and

I heard about a lurcher been dumped by young lads that bought it that night slipped it and couldn't catch it and just left it there I seen it in the park yesterday and couldn't get near it, and when I was lying in bed last night I thought about the poor cnut out there freezing and starving so I said fcuk it and got up put dogs on the lead and went looking for it and 3 hours and a few spliffs later I managed to coax her back to my house fed my dogs locked them up left my back gate open with a pot of grub and went back to bet and got back up a few hours later and she was snugg in the spare kenne

Don't give a flying f**k how politically incorrect others might view me
