  6. Parliament, of both Houses, has a Remain majority, so I can't see any way 'no deal' can get through - even though that's exactly what I, and most other Leavers, actually voted for. I'm sure that, as we speak, they're cooking up some way to scupper the whole thing - either via BrexitRef2 or withdrawing the withdrawal. All the need to come up with is the appropriate window dressing, spun together with a few choice buzz phrases. I'm not putting it past them !

I don't particularly like may but she was on a hiding to nothing from the day she took that job. She was the lightening rod as none of the rest wanted the job until it was over. Decietfull c**ts every last one of them!

I get cable reel tops from work and fill the holes and put resin on them this is an on going project and takes roughly 3 to 4 weeks to complete . This latest one is 11 1/2 diameter x 3/4 inch deep. I have filled small holes with wood filler and wedged a milk bottle lid in the centre hole which I will fill with resin tomorrow then when it's dry I will cover it in wood filler. Sand it really fill where it needs it before priming it then do my resin work The bottom pic is an 18 inch round I have made for my parents 54th wed

Zippo's are better they don't go out, remember trying the lighter trick on a pit that had grabbed my dog, had a clipper and the b*****d wouldn't light properly, he was just getting sparks under his balls! Make sure there's gas in the lighter!

  23. Going back to the first post on this thread to me it reads like he was guarding his bone not lashing out through pain or fear but without being there who's to know, he might not do it again if he got scolded at the time. A mate of mine has a springer which is a lovely family dog and adores his daughter but he challenged her a couple of times over things he didn't want to give up or get off the couch etc and after a good bollocking off her under his supervision the dog learned his place again. My last lurcher "was" an unpredictable flighty bitey b*****d.

  25. Chaff, I suppose the best thing that can be said, is know your dogs 'in general'. I was taught from a young age 'never' to mess about with a dog when it's eating a bone/bones. And practically every dog I've seen when in panic mode, or whatever, will lash out. And your dog recently had a nail ripped out, so he's in pain, and you then go and 'examine' him, WHILST he's gnawing at his bones. I'm not a dog 'whisperer' by any stretch of the imagination, just use common sense and a little basic dog knowledge. All the best with him ?

  26. I've got ten dogs,I'm not a social worker.I don't beat my dogs up,I don't have to.
    3 points
  27. Okay, but do you think that a dogs mind is at all in that mode when it is a state of pain/fear? The most submissive dog in the world can snap when in pain. I don't think responding to that with a beating will have any positive result at all. The dog is in a survival mode, not in a social mode. That's why it is important to identify the root cause.

  38. Doesn't sound like it's fear based aggression from the injury. Sounds like food based aggression. Something remedied by excessively controlling the dogs feeding. Give, remove, give, remove, cover over with your hand, tell the dog to leave part way through, just reinforcing your control in the dogs head and ending it's possessiveness. I don't like the trait at all. I don't like fear based aggression either but it's more understandable and acceptable (to a degree) imo. If a dog's in pain and panicking (when being given first aid) lashing out is understandable and expected. There's a po
