  2. Managed a few short trips over Christmad and a good day today with the ferrets, mainly bolting out of hedges to the dogs...I've banged a write up in the ferreting section, but thought I'd chuck a couple of pics up here...not big numbers but great fun and the big dog is switched on to it more and more now...been nice to watch...

  3. Been a while since I've written up a report so after a tricky day thought I'd share a few pics etc... The plan was an 8am leave from mine to get to the farm 10 mins up the road, Sean c and Sam were meeting here and Finley said he'd get up and come along...Christmas has taken its toll on the kids so it was a case of dragging him out of bed.. Once we got to the farm I popped my head in the lambing barn where the lady farmer was in the middle of feeding, I offered mine and the kids services (again) to help with the lambing..but she said it was slow going....so after a few pleasan

  11. I had a very good mate , 29 , good looking boy , well built , gym lad you know the crack anyway i went in his door and heard him shouting “listen to me , listen, I’m not joking , If you do that once more I’m gonna smash your face in you little c**t” i went upstairs to find him stood on his bed , in his boxers, controller in hand , head set on playing call of duty. He turned to mea and said “see how much a flight is to America tomorrow Danny” ??? then proceeded to tell his opponent what he was going to do when he landed what the f**k is wrong with people ?!

  12. I was out at dawn on Saturday for a doe or two in what started off as a cold and frosty day. It was just what I was after as I’d just invested in a harkila pro-hunter jacket & trouser set.. all be it a good quality second hand, but it was still a wad and I was looking forward to getting my money’s worth! As I hoped, two does were in the field I expected them to be but the opposite side and a good 300m away across open ground. The one furthest away had a bad limp so, cursing the decision to wear my new clobber, i got on my hands and knees and crawled towards them trying to narrow the g

  17. And was it you that DECLARED tyson fury as the best heavyweight on the planet, because he got given a draw against a boxer that can't really box that well, and hasn't fought any real credible opponents all his pro career, and still hasn't. Fury a washed up, out of the ring for nearly 3 years, knocked on his arse twice in the same fight, against a 3 1/2 stone lighter opponent that is STILL ducking anyone that he thinks might have a chance against him? Yet you still claim fury to be untouchable!! Hehehe, and I embarrass myself?!

  25. Yes they do, my Mrs normally does all the cooking but most Saturdays I make rabbit kebabs/wraps and fry it with a bit of Cajun seasoning they love them. Both my kids go to rural schools so most of the kids there know where there meat comes from and that it doesn't come out of tins and packets! They also chat to each other about country pursuits.

  33. Plus nearly all the guard/protection breeds are renowned for being loyal to a fault and ready to lay down there lives for there family against anything. So only really dangerous for the wrong people that deserves it or owners who ain't a clue about those types

  34. Not wrong there mate, that ones grandad was a brindle dog called "Crunch"supposedly one of the best bred in USA and ended up here after his cocaine smuggling owner was jailed for 20 years. Can google the brindle dog Crunch.I cant see there being a better guard than these from good lines. And as you said steady and loveable with their owners and good with my terriers and runners. Also funny dogs and great characters.

This Am bulldog 3/4 Johnson 1/4 Scott was guarding from 3 months and would have a go at strangers at that age.At 6months I was walking him on a lead through bush near me when he started tracking,He dragged me to a guy sitting on a backhoe and tried to have him.I've got two pups from him to a pit bitch, are both top protection dogs.He died last year at 11 from an aneurysm.

  38. Took kids out ferreting today as they both have their own small ferrets. We did two sets and got 41 mainly through purse nets and a bit of long netting missed a few. Was watching my 12 year old daughter running the long net out made me very proud as would rather they be outside in the fresh air, keeping them fit and strong. We were out for 3 hours and everything going well and we were off after this set as we had got enough then two or three baby rabbits came out and one of the ferrets decided to lay up about 8ft down, I very rarely have to dig for them as they are only small and struggle
